Show traditional version names in CC Desktop
In the CC Desktop app, when you are looking at Apps and seeing version numbers, it's confusing to users when you see InDesign v16, which is CC2021, or v15, which is 2020. If the labeling could be InDesign 2021 v16.0, it would be less confusing to users. We have a huge number of users in our company and when we make the switch to each new version as a group, people look at v15 and don't know what that means. Please standardize key commands between the Adobe apps, specifically Indesign and Photoshop
type layer commit in PS: Cmd Enter

(the above is maddening, since in PS, esc undoes everything in the type layer)scaling images in PS: with latest update, no need to hold Shift to scale proportionately

Bring back "PDF already open in Acrobat" alert when trying to export to PDF.
Several versions ago, a dialogue box would alert the user the current PDF is already open in Acrobat and cannot be overwritten. I miss that alert because INDD will work to generate the PDF but if its already open it won't actually update.

Add the nine grid positioning feature when adjusting InDesign document size.
Channeling the canvas size feature in Photoshop here. Would be nice to set the location when changing INDD document sizes when art is already on a page.

Accessibility isn't anything new and when working in and on any creative industry product or campaign it should be considered from the off.
I've received a Published Online PDF from a director who's sent a 27-page document that I need to read but as a dyslexic, I rely on using the 'speech' accessibility function built into my mac to allow myself to read this at a fast pace to keep on track with work and my colleges.
You Publishing Online PDF documents don't allow the functionality for this to happen as you can't highlight the text within the document, a basic function on the most text on a computer and online. I think this should be looked at and I'm a little surprised…

Ordinal Page numbers
It would be very helpful (especially when designing stationary items as calendars, organisers, et) to be possible to create the auto current page number marker with ordinal numbers like 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th...

Allow Author to mark comment as complete without removing the reference.
Currently, if I (the author) mark something as "resolved", it removes the comment and prevents the person who created the comment from being able to easily see what they have done and how it was resolved.
it would be nice for people invited to review to see what past comments they have made (maybe grey out a comment that is marked "Resolved" so that they can go back to that page and see. Then, if it is not done to satisfaction, they could un-resolve it.

When saving a file, have the cursor default to before the ".indd" suffix.
This used to be the case a few years ago. not sure if this is an apple ox issue or adobe.

Table import from word assigns no table style not default [basic table]
When importing (place) Word doc with tables, the tables are assigned the table style of [No Table Style] not the default [Basic Table]. Either provide a mechanism to edit the [No Table Style] or use the default [Basic Table]

Add shortcut or button to bottom of links palette for Collapse Multiple Links...
Please add a keyboard shortcut or a button to the bottom of the links panel for the panel option "Collapse Multiple Links to Same Source". I have to toggle this on and off often and would like an easier way to get to this option. Thank you.

Make Layer Options work logically
In Layer Options we have the choice to Show the layer and/or Print the layer.
But when Print is unchecked, the layers doen's show either.Please make it possible to Show a layer, but don't print it. This comes in handy for guides / instructions or e.g. to visualize the window of an enveloppe.

"sketch mode"
i would like the ability to create a mockup right from a working document to share with a client. this "sketch mode" would put placeholder horizontal lines in the text frames, x’s in the image frames, and assign an architectural-drawing-inspired, hand-sketched stroke around all the frames. there could be a layer for notes and flexible arrows for labels and client-focused descriptions, and any actual text, images, or page furniture already placed could be hidden. the designer could export the pages in a large thumbnail-size presentation and then modify the document based on client comments without leaving the working document. this…

Apply to Odd or Even Pages Functionality
I would like to see either the "Apply Master to Pages..." or the "Insert Pages..." function offer an "Odd or Even Pages" feature so designers can easily apply a front and back page design to a long document. Or, it could be added to the "Move Pages..." function, but that wouldn't be quite as effective.

Ability to "replace" INDT files in CC Libraries
We have a large number of template files in a series of CC Libraries. Right now, if I make an edit that affects multiple template files in multiple libraries, it can be a long, annoying process to get the new versions into the libraries. I have descriptions written for all of the templates. To replace that template, I have to import the new one, copy the description, paste the description into the new template file, then delete the old template. If we have a brand change or other change (like, "hey, it's 2021 now, not 2020"), replacing all the templates…

Link Font Size with Leading
As someone who is often laying out text in large booklet type documents, I often need to adjust text and leading on text to visually suit the design Im working on. An annoying function Ive run into (definitely not the end of the world) is that if I may need to adjust the size of the font and the leading of it to suit what I need... If I then adjust the size of the text, the 'custom' leading size doesn't constrain to the size of the font as you increase it.
