Easier crosschecking, resetting and copying throughout all styles
We are working with at least ten different paragraph styles per document. If there are changes to be made in the CIs we have to check every single style: Opening up the Paragraph Style Options window, changing, closing, next style, reapeat... forgetting something and opening all windows again to check.
-> How about a button in the Paragraph Style Options window to jump to the previous or next style in the list? (might be useful to every kind of Style Option window)In the Paragraph Style Options window there is a Reset to Base button only under General.

Span Columns: Let us enter "1"
Currently, when we go to Span Columns and type "1" we get an error.
It would be so great to be able to type "1" and have InDesign realize that we are wanting to, in effect, switch the paragraph layout from Span Columns to Single Columns.

Option to make all stories in ID file editable by editors using InCopy
Why should I have to go through and export each story I want them to be able to edit? It would make more sense if I could tell ID that all the stories (or all of them except a few that I opt out) are to be editable by my editors. We don't use assignments. I export all the stories they need to be able to edit and they open the ID file in InCopy. But with dozens or hundreds of captions and other items in addition to main stories, it's quite annoying. Using local alphabets in Numering Style Format (Paragraph Styles)
We have only two character formats "A, B, C, D ..." and "a, b, c, d ..." except digital. But many of us work with texts in languages with other alphabets, which are also used as indexes of lists. It would be nice to have formats of local alphabets depending on the language chosen for the paragraph. For example, if the Russian language is selected for the paragraph, then in the list of character formats, except the Latin alphabet, there will be a Russian "А, Б, В, Г..."

Search window improvement suggestion
Hi there, would it be possible to have an option in the search window for colors, fonts(replacements), and styles, etc... to search on a specific number of pages instead of the whole document, article, or selected...? i could use this on a daily basis...

Provide better keyboard support in Story view.
Provide better keyboard support in Story view. Currently PageUp and PageDn and other scrolling keys don't work, and I am forced to use the mouse for long-distance scrolling.

Help-Acrobat is terrible on my Mac
I upgraded to High Sierra and now realize the Adobe Acrobat has made my Mac
more like a PC. I cant easily send or attach pdfs.I rarely complain but I want my Mac back and am not going to rest until I get it back.This is a huge disappointment and so unlike Apple.1 vote -

Print Preview Dialogue Box
The small print preview in the print dialogue box was recently changed to a light grey, making it harder at first glance to discern page from background. Can you please allow changing it back to dark grey be a preferences option

Querverweise
Querverweise in andere Dokumente funktioniert nicht zuverlässig. Entwerden stürzt INDesign ständig ab oder die Performance ist so stark eingeschränkt, dass man quasi in InDesign nicht mehr arbeiten kann, da die Dokumente, auf die verwiesen wird ständig im Hintergrund geöffnet und wieder geschlossen werden.

Hyphenate : make exceptions
1 How if we could select/input characters which do NOT count as characters to be hyphenated ? My customers wants his product names & codes (which contain hyphens) NOT to be hyphenated. So in the paragraph hyphen options there would be a box to input "/" or combos like "Li-Ion".
2 Would save enormously on manual copy checks.

Consistent tool bars
Could you please place all the common tools in the same place in each program?
And when a number of degrees is typed for an object to rotate, could every program rotate the same direction please? E.g., Ill and INDD rotate clockwise while Pshop rotates counterclockwise. That makes no sense. Thanks

I opened my Indesign program and a message asked if I could provide input on how to improve Indesign. Here is my reply.
I tried to write this response in the "Help Improve Adobe Products" window that opens up on launch of Indesign, but I ran out of space:
Indesign has layer after layer after layer of instructions on how do even the most common things. The problem is that in order to understand one layer, you have to understand at least the terminology and concepts of the other layers. These days, when you open the box for many devices there is a quick set up document included. I recommend that you do something like that. But not with instructional videos. Someitimes you…2 votes
