Request: Add an option to toggle on/off "adjust page numbering when hiding spreads."
The updated Hide Spreads feature that adjusts page numbering when spreads are hidden is only useful in documents where you may have alternate versions of pages, but not when you are just trying to export unique sample pages from a long document. We have multiple users that had used Hide Spreads in CC2024 to easily exclude pages from a PDF export instead of having to type in page ranges to export. In InDesign, you cannot directly customize the right-click context menu to add specific commands like 'Corner Options' or 'Relink Image...'
In InDesign, you cannot directly customize the right-click context menu to add specific commands I use often — Object functions like 'Corner Options....' or Links functions like 'Relink Image...'. Customization to the right-click context menu like this would help to increase workflow speed for users.

Option to hide only ruler guides in Normal View Mode
When working with complex layouts and many ruler guides, it can be a bit frustrating to work further with the layout as the guides can block the view.
Also, it would be nice to be able to see the layout without the ruler guides, in Normal View, while still seeing the bleed edge and margins. A cleaner look of the layout without looking without the bleed.1 vote -

字取り機能の改善リクエスト (improvement to "jidori" feature request)
日本語版独自の「字取り」機能で設定できるのは「文字数」に限られているため、不便な場面が多いです。
文字数以外の設定はテキストフレーム/フレームグリッドに関わらずフレームグリッド設定に依存します。これを知らずに「字取り」を使いこなせていないユーザーも多いです。添付画像 1 に示したのは、私が不便だと感じたケースの全てです。そして（ ）の中には私の仕事での主な使い道です。
本文とはサイズの異なる文字（見出し段落に字取りを用いる場合が多い）
字間の広げられたフレームでの挙動（おまけ）
ストーリー内に配置された、文字サイズの異なる表（一般に表の文字サイズは本文より小さい場合が多い）私はこれらの問題を、アンカー付きオブジェクトを挿入、
あるいは「字取り」を用いずに、
ホワイトスペースを挿入、トラッキングで調節、文字前後のアキ設定
などで代用しています。
つまり、とても不便なのです。今回、代案を考えてみました。なかなかの時間をかけました。
皆さんの賛同が欲しいです。添付画像 2 は文字パネルのスクリーンショットです。
従来のグラフィカルなコントロールを廃止し、フライアウトメニューに格納することで、より詳細な設定を可能にすることを提案します。
これは「縦中横」や「割注」、あるいは「下線」や「打ち消し線」と同様に扱うこととします。添付画像 3 は設定ダイアログのアイディアです。
まず先頭に、他の機能と同じようなチェックボックス。
これで「字取り」をオン/オフします。
次に、ラジオボタンで
1 文字サイズ、字数、字間 の３要素で設定、
2 字取りの幅（縦組み時は高さ）をダイレクトに設定
を選択します。いかがでしょうか。
少しの難点は、下位バージョンのアプリと互換性が全くないことです。

Hanging Punctuation needs to include more characters and be customizable #Optical Margin Alignment
Many people need more characters to hang when Optical Margin Alignment is turned on than what is provided by default. This panel should have settings to customize from the default. The workaround to add a space before the character you want to hang and then adding a huge amount of negative kerning, works, but seriously that's all we've got? That is not a real solution, nor is it efficient for multiple instances in multiple documents worked on by multiple people every week. Right-click "remove hyperlink"
Why can't Adobe do this yet? It is 2025 for God's sake. Removing a hyperlink is a multi-step process. It should be a simple right click. And I am talking about the actual hyperlink, not the character style. I already have a script that will remove unwanted styles with no active hyperlink beneath them. I just want a FAST, EASY way to remove unwanted hyperlinks that clients ALWAYS seem to insert, even though they know they don't want them included.

Specify a master page for automatically-inserted blank pages
The book functionality allows you to specify even/odd page starts for chapters, and allows you to insert a blank page if a chapter doesn't fall on the desired type of page. But nowhere can you select the master page to be used for the inserted page.
This renders the feature crippled for a great many documents. For example, manuals and legal documents typically require "This page intentionally blank" on blank pages, to assure the reader that the document is complete. This is standard: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intentionally_blank_page

Gaußscher Weichzeichner für Bilder und Schnittmaske über das ganze Bild
Damit man z.B. einen Glass-Effect in Indesign herstellen kann, ohne den Umweg über Illustrator oder Photoshop zu machen und es dann wieder in Indesign importieren zu müssen, wäre es prima, wenn man einen Gaußschen Weichzeichner hätte und eine Schnittmaske über das ganze weichgezeichnete Bild verwenden könnte, wie in Illustrator..
To create a glass effect in InDesign, for example, without having to go through Illustrator or Photoshop and then import it back into InDesign, it would be great to have a Gaussian blur and be able to use a clipping mask over the entire blurred image, like in Illustrator.

bring back PageMaker file (.PMD) support or a conversion option in new InDesign versions
Hello Adobe Team,
I would like to request that Adobe InDesign once again include support (or at least a conversion feature) for opening PageMaker (.PMD) files.Many designers and publishers still have important archives created in PageMaker, and it has become very difficult to access or update those files since modern InDesign (CC versions) no longer supports them.
Even a simple "Convert PMD to INDD/IDML" option or a legacy import plug-in would be extremely useful. It would save time, preserve historical work, and help users migrate old projects without depending on outdated software like InDesign CS6.

Easy Paste/Replace images
Normal behavior of clipboard handling (Copy/Cut & Paste), is that the content of the clipboard replaces the selected items. E.g: Copy a piece of text (to the clipboard), select another piece of text, choose Paste, and the selection is replaced by the contents of the clipboard.
But, unfortunately, InDesign breaks this rule, when trying to replace the content of an image frame.
It is not able to Copy the content of a frame, and replace the content of an other frame. We first have to remove the old content, and then choose 'Paste Into'. Why not make it intuitive like…1 vote -
Farbfelddialog InDesign
Liebe Entwickler, liebe InDesign-Gemeinde,
ich habe einen kleinen Erweiterungswunsch, der aber die Arbeit erleichtern würde. Fügt bitte in den Farbdialog zwei Pfeile ein mit denen man zwischen allen angelegten Farben hin- und herschalten kann. Da brauche ich bei Änderungen nicht immer den Dialog verlassen und per Doppelklick in die nächste Farben gehen.

Improve links palette to include AI file color information
The Indesign Links palette should show the Adobe Illustrator file document color mode so that I can easily verify that art is CMYK without having to open it in Illustrator. Raster images show RGB, CMYK or Grayscale, but AI files currently give no color information. I understand this might be challenging for EPS or PDF files, but AI files have a Document Color Mode that you must be able to parse from the file.

Create auto align between selection & art boards like in Illustrator.
In Adobe Illustrator, when you select a single object, it will automatically change the alignment option to "Align to Artboard". Additionally, if you select more than one object, the alignment option automatically changes to "Align to Selection". I think this feature would be amazing in InDesign. It could work the same way where a single object or text is aligned to artboard and multiple are aligned to selection and maybe if you grouped multiple objects, it would go back to artboard until you select another group or object.

Arched Text similar to Illustrators Envelope.
I would love to see your team make an envelope “arching text” type of option similar to how Illustrator does it, especially if it could maintain its text editing capabilities. This would be very helpful because there are times when I am doing a Banner or Plaque or some other type of layout and the client requests arched text for the individuals names, and this can sometimes number in the range of 50-75 names. Turn off blue dots in menu
The blues dots adressing new functions in the menus are distracting. In the preferences menu there could be and option to turn them off.
It's rather annoying for a seasoned pro user to allways have to click the functions to turn the circle off.
However, some circles are permanent. We got blue light random places in the menu. It's bad UX with no possibilities to turn them off. Now the UI is getting cluttered in showing off whats new with dots that will not disappear.
