1. Switching language resets preferences and breaks app recognition in Creative Cloud

   I’m writing as an enterprise customer managing multiple Adobe Creative Cloud licenses across a multilingual team. We frequently switch UI languages and reassign machines, so consistent environment management is essential to maintaining workflow stability.

   When switching InDesign’s UI language through Creative Cloud (for example, from Czech to English), all user-specific settings — workspaces, keyboard shortcuts, export presets, print settings, and scripts — are effectively lost.
   This happens because each language version maintains a separate preferences folder (csCZ, enUS, etc.) with no migration or shared profile mechanism. After changing the install language, Creative Cloud also misidentifies previously installed applications as uninstalled, causing confusion and unnecessary duplication.

   This design makes environment management extremely inefficient for enterprise and multilingual users. Reconfiguring an entire setup every time a language or workstation changes is unproductive and error-prone.

   At the enterprise level, we expect:
   1. Centralized, cloud-synced user preferences tied to the user’s Adobe ID — covering shortcuts, workspaces, scripts, and presets.
   2. Team-level sharing and deployment of those settings to ensure consistency across multiple users and systems.
   3. A proper migration utility for switching application language or version.
   4. A cleaned-up folder structure, as the current InDesign and Creative Cloud environment creates excessive fragmentation and clutter across system directories.

   Additionally, it’s quite concerning that as an enterprise customer, there’s no direct way to reach Adobe’s product or technical teams through the Admin Console. Even with enterprise credentials, the only available channel to report structural issues like this is via public forums. That’s not acceptable for enterprise-level support expectations.

   Adobe software produces one of the most chaotic preference folder structures in the industry. Modernizing this system to a unified, cloud-based model would eliminate countless hours of redundant setup and maintenance.
   This issue directly impacts productivity, IT efficiency, and user experience in professional environments. Please escalate this internally to both the InDesign and Creative Cloud teams for review.

   I’m happy to provide detailed workflow examples or configuration data if that helps the product team understand the enterprise-level impact.

2. Support for webp format when exporting to epub

   1. InDesign currently supports the WebP format.
   2. ePub 3.0 supports WebP Therefore, it would be beneficial if, when exporting to ePub, the image retains its original format and does not convert it to JPEG or PNG format. This ensures that the quality of the images used in the eBook remains high while maintaining a low file size.

3. Footnote Numbering Across Independent Text Frames

   Currently, footnote numbering continues only within threaded text frames. It would be extremely helpful if footnote numbering could optionally continue across separate, unlinked text frames within the same document. This would allow for more flexible layout designs without breaking numbering consistency.

   The context bar contains functions that I can access much more quickly via a shortcut, so I don't find it useful.

11. [Scripting] Edit QR Code

    It would be good if we could read the contents of an Indesign-generated QR Code via script.

    Currently it is possible to read the contents by exporting the QRCode graphic as a snippet and reading the XML. We see this:

    I'm not sure how best to implement... maybe a new method: Graphic.getQRCodePlainTextContents() and Graphic.setQRCodePlainTextContents(myString) etc.

16. REMOVE those endless tool tips - hate them.

    OH MY GOD - adobe what are you thinking??????? the software just gets more and more crowded with useless stuff for juvenile users. professionals are pulling out their hair with all the clutter. and those endless, useless tool tips. every time i paste something i'm getting a tool tip - are you people insane????????????? what happened to professionalism. you have a captive audience and now this feels like harassment. EACH AND EVERY - EVERY - EVERY - TIME i do anything i'm getting a tool tip!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! make an option to TURN THESE OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

17. Add custom labels to page thumbnails in the Pages panel

    As someone who regularly works with large, multi-page InDesign documents - especially project-based packages - I’d love to see the ability to assign custom labels or names to individual pages in the Pages panel.

    Currently, when I need to go back and edit a specific project page in a large qualifications package, it’s difficult and time-consuming to locate the right page. Using only numerical page numbers doesn’t give me the context I need, especially when each page represents a different project.

    While section markers and visible labels on the page help somewhat, these don’t make navigation faster within the Pages panel. What would really help is the ability to:

    • Add custom labels (e.g., "Project Name, Client Grouping") next to or beneath page thumbnails in the Pages panel

    • Use those labels to search, sort, or jump to specific pages more easily

    • Keep things organized when working with 50+ pages of unique but visually similar content

    This feature would make InDesign much more efficient for designers managing complex documents — especially in architecture, marketing, publishing, and design studios.

18. Disponibilizar a função de arredondar os cantos de uma tabela feita no Adobe InDesign

    Gostaria de sugerir um recurso que permita arredondar os cantos de uma tabela feita no Adobe InDesign. Atualmente isso não é possível. Mesmo que se coloque dentro de uma caixa, e a caixa arredondar, o recurso não sobrepões a tabela.

    Sería de gran ayuda, tanto para revistas como para periódicos, que en "Expandir columnas” en InDesign, el titular o entradillas no sea solo desde la primera columna, que se pueda elegir entre la segunda, tercera, etc.; esto evitaría cajas de textos… De esta forma, por ejemplo, se pueden centrar en una página de 6 columnas el Título y subtítulo y que el texto empiece en la primera columna…
