I need to be able to place links from YouTube into my InDesign documents. I have no earthly idea whether that requires Flash functionality or not--but I know that when I accessed a document with this link on my iPad it worked--which suggests that it didn't use Flash at all.

Please make sure that this features still works--I need it.

    Hello All,

Following up on the comments stating that the issue is yet not fixed, we did our investigation and found that, the issues being called out in the comment section, though maybe relevant but are different than the one for which this thread was originally created.

This particular thread caters to a very specific case which has been fixed in the last update of InDesign.

If you continue to face performance related issues with InDesign, we sincerely request you to create a separate thread so that we can categorize the performance related issues and address them completely.
In addition to track the performance issues effectively, it will also enable us to reach out to you in a organised manner when we investigate into each category of performance issues.

We are extremely sorry for the troubles you are facing with InDesign and we are determined to resolve them as efficiently…

I am struggling with this as well. I normally work off of a server, but have moved all files over to my hard drive to try and speed up working, and am seeing little to no change. Working on InDesign version 14.0.2 x64 with Windows 10 build 1809.

Small InDesign document (5 MB), resizing small linked image--resize frame only from 2" height to 3" height with proportional change in width: took 5 seconds; clicking fit content proportionately button: took 4 seconds. The image that I am resizing is stored on local hard drive and is only 22.6KB, so it is not an issue with processing the image itself.

Just as in the original report--no issues with performance via Windows Task Manager.

Gads...this is such a no brainer. The only reason it hasn't been voted up more often is because the table and cell styles function is so confusing and many folks don't use them. I have been using paragraph, character and object styles for years now, and only final watched a tutorial to figure out how to implement cell and table styles because I was never able to make them work correctly on my own.

I can work around the issue by, in each document, reapplying Master Page A to the sub-master page that did not update correctly. But, this adds header items to the sub-master page, that I do not want there. In order to remove them, I have to lock all of the items that I want to keep on the sub-master page, then override master page items in the header, delete the unwanted items, and then unlock the locked items. It is a time-consuming process that I have to repeat for each individual document within the book.

I am having the same issue, but for me it only happens when I access the "Find More" options, and am reviewing the list of fonts available for download from Adobe fonts. Also on a Windows 10 machine.

I think it should be added to both the paragraph styles dialog and the paragraph panel.

Style best practices would be to create two different paragraph styles--one with spacing and one without--but there are always situations where you might only need this once in a document, and in that case, creating a second style is overkill.
