1. there isnt' Indesign 2018 (13.0) from Download legacy versions of Creative Cloud apps

   Hi,
   I can't find Indesign 2018 (13.0....) from the page of "Download legacy versions of Creative Cloud apps" after updating to Indesign 2020. I have the same issue for my two account, Windows 10 and macOS 10.14, any idea? Thanks

2. background

   Background colors (that should just be white) go crazy on tables and other pages until InDesign is quit and re-opened. There's no specific action that seems to trigger the issue, and it appears intermittently. This is happening on version 16.4.0.54.

3. dark interface &

   Appearance dark theme not matching the settings or OS. I selected dark theme but pasteboard and window top bar light grey. It should be uniform dark.

   Other issue is workspaces often does not show up after launching app requiring me to select a workspace other than my custom setting to show up on screen and only then can I select my custom workspace to have it show up. If I select my custom workspace right away after launch when no windows or tools show up nothing happens the screen stays without any panels or tools. Clearly a bug

4. Workspace reverts to Essential every time a document opens

   Hi there, I'm having an issue where every document that I open reverts the workspace to Essential. Is there a way to set this to my desired setting and make it stick. I've scoured the forums and tried everything mentioned from clearing caches and preferences to uninstalling and reinstalling. I've set the workspace with no documents open and closed and reopened the app but it just reverts back to Essential when I open a new/existing document. 
   Please help! This is driving me crazy as I have to do it every time I open a document. 
   I'm on an iMac (2020) with InDesign 16.4.

5. drop shadow effect bug - in NEW 2018 Indesign

   The Blend Mode in DROP SHADOW is FROZEN on MULTIPLY.. I cannot choose any other blend option... i.e. screen, darken, lighten..and it defaults to MULTIPLY...

   I tried drop shadow filter on multiple elements and documents.. STILL FROZEN... BIG BUG..

   I'll go back to using the older version until you get your issues fixed.

   Can you add a video showing the issue? and some steps to reproduce the issue…
   We are unable to reproduce this bug.
   Are you on MAC or Win? Does it happen with all documents?
   You can add a video to WeTransfer/Dropbox etc and add a link here as comment.

6. InDesign doesn't import files

   Hi !
   So my issue is that InDesign doesn't allow me to import files, whether they are .jpg, .png or .eps, or else. I need to use a logo that I have in .png, but InDesign doesn't allow me to select my file to import.

7. Inversed Rounded Corners Don't Match on All Sides

   When using the Inverse Rounded Corners in Corner Options, the corner shape doesn't match another box right next to it with the same settings when side by side. So when 2 boxes with the same corner options are next to each other it doesn't make a circle in the empty space but rather an angled rounded rectangle. It seems the top left and bottom right are one way and the top right and bottom left are another. It doesn't matter if the boxes are the same size or different. This issue was present in both InDesign 2020 and 2024 versions for testing. This was not an issue previously.

8. Massive Graphics Glitches

   OSX 12.4
   InDesign 17.3
   2019 Retina 5K iMac 19,1 w/64 GB RAM

   This issue seems to persist despite the most current updates. At first, I thought my video card was dying, but as it does not happen with any other product I feel it is strictly an InDesign issue.

   This most often happens when I am close up working on a document. Sometimes I might nudge the view (either accidentally or on purpose) and the screen redraws with massive sections missing or rendering in bizarre geometric patterns. If I scroll away and come back... it's fine.

   This appeared to be happening much more often with ID 17.2 and I was hoping 17.3 addressed this problem. For a short while it appeared like it was fixed. But, soon enough...it happened again. Not at the same rate, but enough that it is just unacceptable for a subscription product.

   As I said this occurs on and off in two specific ways. One, usually when there is a quick movement of the screen forcing a small redraw. And two, when you are close up (although on a rare occasion it does happen at full screen). The patterns are pretty severe, although that too tends to vary. I am attaching a screenshot of one of the most recent severe occurrences.

9. When opening up files I get an error " Missing required parameter 'from' for method 'open'.

   This started happening after I upgraded indesign. 2021
   I reinstalled the program issue still present.I uninstalled all other version of indesign and re installed after this still happens. In order to work I have to restart the machine or copy the file to my desktop.

10. epub preview - crops page view

    the ePub Previewer crops the page i am viewing in the preview, so i cannot see the entire page. please fix this issue as it makes it very difficult to preview my interactive elements without having to export the page to PDF.

12. Horizontal and vertical measurements switched in Move dialog

    I’m one of the dinosaurs who started out in the trade on a typesetting machine, and my preferred system of units uses picas for horizontal measures and points for vertical. This has mostly worked fine for years, but since the most recent update I notice that the Move dialog is using points for X and picas for Y. Not a major issue, but somewhat annoying. (ISTR previous versions with a similar bug in the Cell Options > Text dialog, where the left & right insets were in points and the top & bottom in picas, but that one now behaves as expected.)

13. adobefnt

    OMG I cannot export to a PDF because of this STUPID adobefnt bug. Which seems to be a major issue with many (I am in version 17.1, on a mac) FIX THISl But, in the meantime, does anyone have any hints for how I can get this to work?!

14. Shortcuts for view at 200% 400% & 50% not working correctly

    Windows 10 - Indesign CC 16.4 (only just updated today 8/10)

    Issues - shortcuts
    Ctrl+5 (view @ 50%)
    Ctrl+2 (view @200%)
    Ctrl+4 (view @400%) not working properly.

    Ctrl+5 is now view @ 33.33%
    Ctrl+4 is now view @ 266.67%
    Ctrl+2 is now view @ 133.33%

    The issue doesn't seem to be a thing for Mac, they work fine.

15. Pasteboard size difference between CC 2017 and 2018 causes page view jump

    This occurs when I begin to work on a document that was made in a previous version of InDesign, which by default had smaller top and bottom pasteboard margins. The first actual action I perform on a spread — not just clicking; something like moving an object, editing text and deselecting the text box, or creating a new object — causes the pasteboard to increase in size vertically to what I presume is the new default, which also causes the page view itself to jump down. This only happens on the active spread. This also produces a graphical error if I do this first action with the pasteboard hidden.

    It does seem that changing the pasteboard margins in preferences sidesteps the issue by changing the sizes of all of the pasteboards at once. It took me several days to figure out what was happening/decide that I wasn't just going crazy and find that, though, and I'll have to remember to do this with every CC 2017 document I open to work on, which isn't ideal.

    To identify the cause of this issue, we had started our investigation with the aim to resolve it. You might have also received email from us seeking more details to help in our investigation.

    We’ve concluded our investigation and came up with the finding : Either the issue is fixed in the latest release of InDesign or the issue was intermittent in nature at the time of its reporting and is not reproducible now.

    We recommend you to upgrade to the latest version of InDesign 2020 (if you’re not already on it) as it is more robust.

    If you still face this issue even after updating to the latest version of InDesign, start a new thread by adding all the relevant details. We seek your support in our continual effort to improve InDesign.

16. Find and change transliterate

    The new feature that has been recently added is the transliterate tab in the find and change dialogue box. Instead of Hindi digits, farsi digits are there. Please correct this issue. Also it would be very useful to add and Bengali digits.

17. adobe fonts not syncing properly with typekit

    Having issue with fonts syncing with cloud version of fonts. I’ve downloaded the Oswald font but only 2 fonts show up as cloud version and the other version all show up as TrueType fonts and I don’t even have the font installed?

18. Unable to create a new document in Indesign 2021 (16.2.1)

    Both Idesign 16.2.1 and 16.1 applications open to a black screen with a menu bar at the top. I am unable to create a new document unless I use the legacy settings under Edit. This issue started on June 21, 2021. All previous versions work fine.

19. Master page image appear in wrong page in page layout 32(page number) indesign CC 2017.0

    2. Master page image appear wrongly in page 32. If we go to CO master page and change the position of the image on the master page, the image on 32 will get disappear. But if open same file CC 2017.1 we don't have that image.
    3. In page 32 master page image was appear wrongly, Actually that image was not to come there.

    1. In page 32 only text has to be there.

20. InDesign not updating placed AI files

    Placed AI file does not update correctly. InDesign 17.3 and Illustrator 26.3.1 - An AI file is placed into InDesign initially with all layers set to "print" - then the file is updated in Illustrator by changing one or some layers to "not print" and saved. As expected, in Indesign the placed AI shows an alert icon over the graphic. When I select update, the AI still displays with ALL LAYERS still visible. To test what the issue may be, I placed the identical file next to the existing one. THAT file came in correctly - they are the exact same file.
