cc libraries
In 2021 update, the cc libraries freeze and are unavailable. I tried to delete something from my library 3 times, and nothing happened. Then I closed the window, and when I reopened it had deleted three things.
Anyone else having issues with libraries with the new update?I know the 2021 update is still really new, so if this is already being fixed I apologize.

[ID-4261000]Hebrew Text with Vowel Points Reorders Incorrectly When Pasted from InDesign to Word
When keying (or importing) Hebrew text, InDesign often misplaces vowel points when two or more vowel points are attached to a single base character unless the base character and vowel points are keyed in a specific order. I don't totally understand it, but it has something to do with Unicode normalization. Microsoft Word gets around this problem, but I can't say how. It would be nice, however, if InDesign could get around it, too.
One Hebrew font, SBL Hebrew, has written Unicode features (?) to prevent the normalization problem, but most fonts cannot do this on their own in InDesign.…

Very Slow Performance - when opening two documents at the same time
Is there any solution to this bug:
InDesign has very slow performance - when opening two documents at the same time.Refer to the previous report "Very Slow Performance" that I submitted on June 19th 2020.
I still use Creative Cloud applications and my InDesign is v15.1.1 x64

Publish Online Mobile Zoom
When I try to zoom in the embedded Publish Online viewer, and I’m on mobile, it zooms too far and then it’s impossible to zoom all the way out again unless I switch pages.

buttons and forms text color
The Buttons and Forms Palette only allows for text size and font but not for text color and alignement (other than left) for creating forms for PDF these functions are essential to have !!!

Slow
Ever since these latest updates to InDesign, the performance is slow even with Display Performance set to Fast. I looked through the RAM and made sure no other settings were making it lag. I've uninstalled and reinstalled with no difference in performance. There shouldn't be a need to update InDesign so frequently, I've used Adobe products for over 10 years and these updates are making the usability go backwards.

text shadow
I have a text box with Drop Shadow Effect on the text itself. When I edit the text, the shadow does not change. I discovered quite accidentally that Undo (CTRL+Z) then Redo (CTRL+SHIFT+Z) fixes the issue.
However, when I change the angle of the object (text box), the text moves but the shadow remains in place. I cannot fix it even by adjusting the Effect angle options.

Endnote references are not importing when placing word documents
I am placing a word 365 document into InDesign 2020 with endnotes ticked to be included and the endnote references are not importing. In the past the endnote references will display in-text and a full endnote reference list will display on the last page in one text box. I have tried using 2018/2019 with the same result. This appears to be a new bug. I have attached screenshots of the Word document with endnotes displayed and the InDesign document after placing the same word document which shows the endnotes have not been imported. Indesign publish online page transitions not working
When I publish online from InDesign, any page transitions that have been applied to pages do not work. The pages simply appear. All animations work well, but the page push that I set as a transition does not work. Hopefully someone has a solution for this? If I use a plugin like in5 I can get the desired effect. Hopefully Adobe can add the same functionality that In5 has. Mouse very slow during mail merge
When exporting to a PDF using Indesign Mail Merge, the mouse is very slow, even if in other programs. That makes the computer unusable during export of large PDF's.
I found that only when the Windows Task Manager is on the front, the mouse acts normal again, but when I the Task Manager loses focus, the mouse is slow again.
We have this problem on our Windows PC's. On my Mac it works fine.
We use the latest Indesign (15.0.1)

Resize Pages Tool does not work
The resize pages tool does not work. The page size always jumps back to its initial size. You always have to enter the size manually. Also the resizing from an anchor point of the page does not work properly. Especially elements outside the artboard (for example in the info section) don't place accordingly.

IDML export corruption
This bug produces an IDML file with misplaced or missing elements.
It stems from having a second master page based on another master page.
When that second master page (based on another) is applied to a page in document, then saved as an IDML, the resulting IDML file will have misplaced or missing elements on the relative pages.
TEMPORARY WORK-AROUND:
While viewing the second master page (based on another), choose Override All Master Page Items from the side Pages menu. OR, simply do not base any master pages on other master pages. The resulting IDML file will look exactly like…9 votes -
If there is white text on a colored background InDesign thinks there's nothing at all
If there's only white text on a page but this text has a colored "paragraph shading" ("Absatzschattierung" in German), InDesign does not recognize this color and thinks the page is still empty.
I reported this in the old "wish form" about four years ago: https://rainerklute.de/bug-report/
The dialogue shows a way to solve this but why is it not implemented?

PDF Export in InDesign CC 2020 (15.0) is broken
As soon as I try to export a PDF (either with File > Export or File > Adobe PDF Presets), the background task starts but hangs at 32% and never completes. When cancelling the task, it never cancels and I need to Force Quit InDesign to cancel it.
Running Catalina with the latest version of InDesign (15.0)

Endnotes don't export to ePub
EPUB Export Endnotes with Hyperlinks
Version: InDesign CC 2019 – 14.0.3
Steps to Reproduce:
Use the endnote feature and in one of the endnotes (preferably after the first one), add a hyperlink.
Export the InDesign document to EPUB
Expected Result: All endnote references are hyperlinked and the numbers for each endnote are backlinked back to the reference.
Actual Result:
Endnote number is missing for all endnotes after the hyperlink that was added to the endnote and no linking occurs after the manual hyperlink. Indesign crashes.9 votes -
Links within linked Indesign files appear pixellated even if the links are updated.
Linked images within linked Indesign files appear pixelated, even if the links are updated. It's temporarily fixed by relinking the file – but it goes back to appearing pixelated when the file is reopened. This has only happened recently and has never been a problem in the past.

File Information won't close
When I open the File Information window to edit the metadata of a file, I can't close the window because the OK and close buttons are off the bottom of the screen.
When I try to resize the window, it will return to the size it is. In order to close it I have to restart InDesign!
Please sort this!

- importing pdf comments that have bold and italic text in the replacement text
- that it would show as bold or italic in the pdf comment dialog box
- shows all text as none formatted
I can understanding it would be difficult to get that text to change to bold/italic when i click accept, but if i at least saw that it was bold/italic in the preview box i'd know to make that edit manually.

character styles in Table of Contents
Not sure if this is a bug or a feature.
It is a best practice, if you use running headers, to apply a character style to a selected subset of a heading, for example, HeadText1 for a first-level heading, and HeadText2 for a second-level heading, so that the header just shows basically a short title for the heading. You define the header to contain two text variables, first Heading1 that picks up, for example, the first instance of the text marked with HeadText1, and Heading2 that picks up the last instance of HeadText2. InDesign performance is ****
The actual performance of InDesign is, speaking gently, ****. I really don't know how you can release such a buggy version. I'm doing nothing on my machine except writing this text and InDesign is using more than 500 % of my CPU and the fan of my graphic card is going nuts!
Calling the actual version "production ready" is a joke. I am really disappointed about Adobe. The only program actually which is really good and performing is XD.
