  1. When I save out an IDML version of my INDD 2022 v17.0 file, the text boxes from my Master page are in a different location on every spread.

    Also, when I tried opening my INDD file in an older version (INDD v1.64) nothing happened. My file did not appear in the window, so I couldn't "go back" to an older version of INDD.

  2. In the latest version of the In Design software, the color of the black and white arrow are inverted when you choose the dark themes in the

    correctly reconfigure the arrows of the selection tool (black) and the direct selection tool (White)

  3. version 17.0 while launching shows blank black screen

    Screen gets stuck on black screen and no option comes up.

    InDesign version 16.0 works fine.
    Tried reinstalling the app but shows same issue.

  4. Can't open some Indesign files in finder

    Since the latest 2022 update certain Indesign files will not open via finder - either by double clicking the file icon or going command>O. The app doesn't even acknowledge your action, only workaround is by opening via the app which is an absolute pain. Absolutely ridiculous.

  5. Display Artefacts - horizontal lines and placed image distortions.

    Display Artefacts horizontal lines and placed image distortions when scrolling/editing documents.
    UI set to small and zoomed to 135% on the spread.
    A simple graphic.jpg is placed on the master/parent assigned to the page.
    sRGB colour management used in the document.
    Screen resolution 3840x2400px.

  6. Linked EPS appears with jagged/rough edges even on High Quality Display

    I've never seen this before, but linked vector EPS files aren't previewing properly in InDesign. The edges are super jagged when they should be smooth lines.

  7. Hiding and showing conditional text changes the applied paragraph style

    InDesign CC2020 on Windows

    In certain situations, hiding and then showing conditional text changes the applied paragraph style.

  9. Swipe Gestures not working

    'Swipe Gestures to navigate within pages' used to work earlier in both mobile phones and laptops.
    But recently when I tried, Swipe Gestures are not working at all.
    Adobe clearly mentions that publish online supports smooth gesture controls : https://helpx.adobe.com/in/indesign/using/publish-online.html

    Please fix this ASAP.

  10. Shift + Tab / Ctrl + Shift + Tab doesn't work properly with reordered Windows

    Shift + Tab usually switches to the next open window/project. with Ctrl is switches to previous window.
    That works so far.

    It doesn't work anymore though, as soon as you rearrange the order of the windows.

    Say you have project A, Project B, Project C open, but you move the window from Project C between A and B

    so now its: A, C, B

    if I now want to switch from C to B I would click Shift + Tab. But instead to the obvious next Tab "project B" it switches STILL to A.

    So Indesign constantly remembers the original…

  12. Can no longer change fonts in the glyph table

    Can no longer change fonts within the glyph table.

    It used to be possible to have a character selected and change fonts or typefaces in the glyph table to discover where that character exists in another font. Now it only reverts to whatever paragraph or character style is already applied and doesn't allow the font to be changed.

  13. Can't Duplicate multiple Page with Alt + Drag and place them in a specific place just moves to bottom

    This used to work but the past years updates have stopped this function, again another thing that worked removed! You used to be able to shift click on a few pages in the pages panel then alt drag them and place them ANYWHERE in the document, sometimes i liked them straight underneath current pages but now for some unknown reason its doesn't allow me to do this with more than one page? when you try to move the selected pages nothing happens and the pages are just duplicated at the end of the document not very helpful with a 100…

  14. Margins cannot be adjusted via the Document setup window

    Version: 16.3.2
    When trying to change the margins via the Document setup (alt+command+p) dialogue, nothing happens; the margins don't change. The only way is to go through Layout > Margins and columns...

  15. InDesign Workspace Keeps Disappearing

    Since the latest update of InDesign every time I leave the program and then come back my side panel workspace goes away. I have to select a different workspace and then reselect my saved space to get my setup to show up.

  17. Simple cursor insertion point inaccurate in text

    I hover the cursor over the space (between two letters, for example) but the actual insertion point is a letter off, to the left of the intended location.

  18. InDesign is still unusably slow

    Despite many many threads about this, I cannot find an answer that solves this issue. I am getting a spinning wheel on almost every action I perform in InDesign. It spins for around 10 seconds and then is good until I do anything else. It is incredibly frustrating.

    I am running InDesign 16.3.2 a part of Adobe CC 2021.
    I am on a 2018 MacBook Pro, running Big Sur 11.4
    32 GB Ram
    2.9GHz i9 Processor

    I have tried a bunch of 'answers' from previous threads but none seem to work. Please help!

  19. Can't drag & drop elements into CC Libraries panel

    In the latest version (16.3.2), drag and drop of a graphic on to the CC Libraries panel no longer works - is broken. I have to use the "Add elements" + button instead.

    I've quit and restarted InDesign, I've restarted my Mac. No change.

  20. Missing ALT-Text in PDF

    Since the latest update to InDesign 16.3.2 alternative text to hyperlinks and cross-references is not included in the <Link> tag of the exported PDF-document.

    It has been implemented this way as per Accessibility Requirements.

    According to Accessibility Requirements, Alt Text should be placed under the /K Array in the Dictionary – please see attachment for more information.
