1. "Preview images" not updated or created in certain circumstances

   Description: The previews are not updated in the following cases:

   • When the file is saved in IDML file format (you need to save in in INDD format before)
   • When the saving options are changed (under "Preferences > File handling") and the file is saved. You need to save the file with another name or make changes in order to have InDesign updating the previews.

   Basically, from our tests, the preview images are only generated when the file is changed and saved in INDD format.

      13.1 (but past CC releases were also impacted)

   2. Steps to reproduce the issues

   • Change the preview images options (under "Preferences > File handling")
   • Save the file

      The previews are not updated, ignoring the new settings

2. workspace close when changing scale

   1. Adobe CC (latest update)
   2. Up-scale or down-scale an item (picture, text, etc.)
   3. Up-scaling or down-scaling the item correctly.
   4. Unable to scaling properly and all the workspace disappear. The scaling seems to works without any Enter key being press. So ...when I press Enter or Tab, the workspace disappear. I have to go to the menu, change it to another one before reset it to mine.
   5. The printscreen won't help in this case.

5. Align Towards Spine/Away From Spine in Slug Area

   Not sure if this is better as bug report or feature request . . .

   Spine alignment options do not work for text in Slug Area. For example, text set to Align Towards Spine and positioned in the slug area beside a recto page does not align toward spine.

   It makes sense why spine alignment for objects generally might not work for text not touching a page, since the pasteboard does not have a spine, but the slug area should be recognized as an extension of the page (or, at least, the requirements of the page).

6. Cannot add CC Library P/C styles to documents more than one at a time

   New problem: suddenly I can't add paragraph/character styles from CC Libraries to documents unless I choose them one-by-one.
   (I'm trying to overwrite a previous version of the same styles, which to date I have done without issue nearly every day for months.)
   I have made no changes to my system (InDesign2018 Version 13.1 on Mac OS High Sierra 10.13.4).

   Description of behavior:

   1. Select list of Character (or Paragraph) styles and right-click to use option to add to the current document. "Add" option NOT available.

   2. Select single Character (or Paragraph) style and right click to use option to add to the current document. "Add" option is available.

   (See screenshots below for comparison.)

8. crash when deleting line

   InDesign crashes on selecting a specific line in TOC

   Hi! When trying to delete some lines in the TOC, some lines cause crashes. For one line it seems impossible to delete it. When selecting the line or the space the cursor freezes within seconds and a crash report appears.
   On reopening the file an error message appears, though the file can be opened.

9. Get error message when exporting document to PDF

   InDesign CC2018 (13.1) -- will get an error message when exporting a document to PDF, especially if it is saving over and replacing a previous PDF version. Then both versions disappear from the finder, and then I can sometimes successfully export the document. Usually takes a couple of attempts before it can export a viable PDF. This just started happening.

11. Cmd/Ctrl+Backspace and Cmd/Ctrl+Delete bugs

    Hi,

    Cmd/Ctrl+Backspace and Cmd/Ctrl+Delete bugs act erratically in latest InCopy (13.1) on Mac and Windows: contrary to all other apps and InDesign Story Editor, they delete words from seemingly random side of the cursor.

    Actual result: Cmd+Del often deletes from left hand side, Cmd+Backspace often deletes from right hand side of the cursor.

    Expected result: Cmd/Ctrl+Del always deletes the word to the right of the cursor; Cmd/Ctrl+Backspace always deletes a word from to the left of the cursor.

12. Color and Swatch in control panel extends pass screen edge

    2.When selecting the fill or stroke for a shape in the control panel at the top, the pop out panel with swatches extends beyond screen edge

13. adobe stock pricing

    When licensing an Adobe Stock library image from within Indesign I am charged $9.99 but if I but the image on the adobestock.com site it is $2.99. This is recent and is highly annoying.

14. placed indesign shows all layers in file

    It will show all the layers in the placed InDesign file despite the fact on import the option to use document layers visibility is selected. You have to manually select which layers you want visible on import.

16. Auto-Fit tick box does not work and has no effect when placing images into a Frame or Rectangle

    I am using InDesign CC 2018 V13.1. In previous versions the Auto-Fit tick box worked just fine. With CC 2018 it does not. When placing an image into a Frame or Rectangle, ticking the Auto-Fit tick box has no effect. The image is placed into the box at full size. I then have to resize the image manually or using the Fit Content To frame button. I teach InDesign at Cambridge University and this missing feature is confusing for beginners. Please let me now how to rectify this issue.

17. Recent Files thumbails don't match corresponding documents

    When choosing an ID document to open from the "recent files" screen, the wrong file opens; i.e., the document that opens does not match the document that I clicked on. Or, sometimes I get an error claiming that the document cannot be found, but the file is indeed right where I left it. This does not happen every time...sometimes the right document does open from the recent files screen, but not usually. This has only been happening to me only for the past week or two. I have not moved my files, changed folder names, replaced hard drives, or any other changes like that. This happens for files that were even opened and saved from the day before, or even an hour before.

    We have fixed a number of crashes with InDesign’s latest Nov’18 update.
    Please download the latest InDesign version (InDesign CC 14.0.1) for the fix.

20. Object does not stay in center of document after resizing document format

    Hello, I found some weird issues in Indesign CC 13.1 on Mac OS El Capitan.
    When I place an object centerd in the middle of a document (for example
    500 x 500 px) and I resize the document size to for example 700 x 700 px (something larger than 500 x 500), the Object won't stay in the middle, but moves to the right or left border - even I set the reference point within the transform-window to "middle" and also disable "double page".

    Why does the object not stay centered at the document format?
    I attached a PDF-File where I tried to explain better, what I mean.
