1. Can't add extra space before a styled paragraph

   I need to add a few points of space before a styled paragraph to base align two columns. I add them in the paragraph box, but nothing happens and then the amount reverts to the original amount. How can I override? Never had this problem with previous versions of ID; I'm using the newest one.

3. Indents incorrect when importing Word document

   When importing a Word document that contains some indented paragraphs, the left indent being set to 5mm in Word (for example), once placed in InDesign, these 5mm indents typically show as 4.992mm. This would not neccesarily be a problem except that Find/Change in InDesign will not recognise an indent to 3 decimal places and therefore this cannot be located easily and fixed. This is proving to be a big problem in my workflow as I cannot automate the process of re-styling these paragraphs using InDesign Paragraph Styles with Find/Change. This bug occurs whatever measurement system is used, i.e. mm, inches, pts etc. Version of InDesign used: 14.0.3 although the same problem exists back to CS6 at least.

5. QR Code don't work with Cyrillic symbols

   When you try to write any Cyrillic symbols to QR Code you see everything correctly at edit page. But if you try to scan that QR code you get something like this –ö–æ–ª–∏–±. Could you please fix that error?

6. Drag-Duplicating using Alt/Opt key does not work if key is pressed after dragging

   InDesign 2020 OPTION Duplicate is now broken, just like Photoshop has always been.

   Don't make me commit to the duplicate before moving an item.

   Sometimes I'll move a box, then realize I intended to duplicate it, so then I'll press OPTION... now I have to commit to it FIRST.

   Fix this and stop breaking things!

   This issue has been fixed in the latest update of InDesign 2022 - version 17.3

10. Keyboard Shortcut cmd-alt-shift-D does not work

12. Thumb nail of indesign saved files not appearing after 2019 to 2020 update

    Can anyone help me with this issue, since I update to the 2020 InDesign from 2019 all my icons in saved files don't show the InDesign thumbnail is this a bug or just me being dumb?

    note -
    -Files still open as normal.
    -Even if I save them in 2020 formate still no icons
    -Other adobe programs since update show Icons.

13. opens two documents

    When i open a document a random second document opens, usually something i had been working on earlier. Double click file A and it opens, and then File Z opens as well without the command to do so

14. Type tool hotkey still not working

    When moving from the direct selection tool to try to make a text box with the type tool hotkey (T), the hotkey still isn't working in InDesign. It shows temporarily as the I bar icon, and then keeps reverting to the direct selection tool or sometimes a disappearing + icon. It doesn't matter how long I wait or if I select the page or the pasteboard for the new text box (although I seem to have more succes on the pasteboard than on the page).. Also the direct selection key and the text tool frequently do not respond to the escape key. I am running InDD 15.0 on a MAC running OS 10.14.4. These features have not worked for at least a year. Experienced designers depend on hotkeys to expedite work. PLEASE fix it!!!!

15. Sloooooowwwww InDesign CC 2020 :-(

    I've not put this under "Crash" because it isn't a crash, but I updated Creative Cloud yesterday and now InDesign keeps locking up!

    It doesn't seem to be linked to any specific actions, the program just keeps stopping to think. This suggests it's not making efficient use of resources.

    I'm using a Dell Latitude 5591 on Windows 10 Pro 10.0.18362. It worked fine with the previous version of Creative Cloud, but I'm not going back to it because I want to have the latest version.

16. CC2020: Alternate text for hyperlinks

    In CC2020 a new function for writing alternate text for links was introduced.
    Using this function and generating a PDF Leeds to wrong PDF notation. The alt text in PDF is presented by alt text, which is forbidden in the PDF world, where alt text only should be used for non text elements, e.g. pictures. By presenting only the alt text the accessibility is lost – this is against the goal to hav a better output!
    A correct output would lead to a content entry.

    Note: Alt text for links is under discussion, as such alt text is not present for all users (it would be read out loud, but you can't read it) – this is not about equal access.

    Thanks for fixing, this would be a good step for all people relying on accessible PDFs.

18. Image tags all grouped in their own article at the end of the tags panel

    I have set up articles in multiple files InDesign 2020 (files first created in InDesign 2019 and updated to 2020 yesterday and today). When I export to PDF, all image tags are added to a new article in the bottom of the tags panel in Acrobat DC rather than in the articles that I assigned them to in InDesign. Luckily, I preserved a version of InDesign 2019 and can open them in there and export to have the tags show up in the correct place. FYI, I also made sure my layers order in InDesign is as I want it to be.

    Fix for this issue is now available in the latest update of InDesign 2020 – that is, InDesign 15.0.1

    In the Creative Cloud Desktop application, click on the Updates section on the left. You should be able to see the Update available for InDesign. Please update your InDesign application to this version to try out the fix.

20. Cells formatted as Number/Currency etc. in Excel without decimal places or as Date not imported correctly into InDesign.

    InDesign CC : 2020 / 15.0.0.155
    MacOS : 10.13.6
    MS Excel : 16.30 for Mac

    We were able since ever (last version ID CC 2019) to import Excel data-cells by InDesign with the placing functionality. With the actual version of InDesign CC 2020 numbers without any decimal places (e.g. 153) are not imported from Excel files and are displayed in InDesign with a "0" - (e.g. 153 imports to InDesign as 0). If the numbers in the Excel files have at least 1 decimal place numbers are imported correctly (e.g. 153.6 imports to InDesign as 153.6). Please fix this InDesign CC 2020 as soon as possible. An please in InDesgin CC 2019 Excel-Numbers with a sign for thousands place (e.g. 2'153) imported with a non correct sign (e.g. 2'153 imports to InDesgin CC 2019 as 2Õ153). Please verify this also.
