  1. Very Slow Performance - when opening two documents at the same time

    Is there any solution to this bug:
    InDesign has very slow performance - when opening two documents at the same time.

    Refer to the previous report "Very Slow Performance" that I submitted on June 19th 2020.

    I still use Creative Cloud applications and my InDesign is v15.1.1 x64

    2. I'm having InDesign issues recovering 2 proposal documents I was working on. When I went to save it I got this message and when I went to the folder the file was gone and only showing as a locked file. (please see attachments). Then when I tried opening InDesign back up it gave me this message. It's not letting me open it even when trying to open it from my desktop. (please see attachments.)
    3. Successful save and successful opening of files.
    4. Unable to save and recover document successfully.
    5. See attachment.

  6. cross-reference bug InDesign 2020

    I'm working with a 50-page document using the latest version of InDesign (15.1.1 x64) on Windows 10. Cross-reference not only takes minutes to create but also takes that amount of time to update. It's become a useless feature of InDesign.

  7. Toc bad intraction with buttons

    Hi. I've been having quite a bad weeks because of this. A large catalogue with multiple "indexes" (I manage to made TOCs for differents styles, so I have some "indexes" done) . BUT, when I put them with some interaction buttons in other file of the book, the interactive buttons stop working.
    I try the new 15.1 update, but it was worst!

  9. Buttons and bookmarks doesn't work properly

    Some work fine in the same page! I´ve had try changing the file name, re-done every text box, replace text and bookmarked its again, but nothing happens.

  10. Czech Winsoft dictionary is broken: all lowercase words are marked as misspelled (CC2020)

    The spellcheck of Czech text is not working correctly if you select Winsoft dictionary in all versions of CC2020: it marks all words starting with lower case letter as wrong and recommends capitalising ALL words. Unfortunately the Winsoft dictionary is the only option for Czech language as both Hunspell and Proximity are really bad.
    1 Type Czech text
    2 Set Winsoft dictionaries in InDesign preferences
    3 Run spell checker
    4 All words in lowercase will be marked as misspelled (each word is treated as if it stands at the beginning of a sentence)

    Expected result: see CS6, Winsoft dictionaries work…

  11. Indesign crashes when clicking "Find next", searching for inline images (image frames selected in "object")

    When I try to find inline images in a large string of text (because I want to alter the object style of the images), ID crashes when clicking "Find next", when there is also a text overflow and most of the images are hidden in this overflow (red +-sign).
    After creating enough new pages to fill the master text frames with the overflow-text, and then click "Find next", Indesign won't crash anymore.

    I get a corrupted PDF file after export to PDF print.
    Latest version, restarted, tried different settings, does not give error when exporting.

  13. Text rendering bug – the edited text is rendered over older version of the text

    I work on a book. While editing the book, I face constant rendering issues: the updated text is rendered on top of the unaltered text. It happens irregularly many times a day. The problem is not document oriented nor platform specific. I started to make screenshots in March and the bug is still present.
    It is very annoying. The only solution is to switch to Selection tool and the change select the Text tool. If you seriously edit a document and you face rendering bugs every five minutes, it is pain **********.

  14. Actual size (with web artboards) does not shows the actual pixels sizes

    Issue to visualise correctly the zoom in indesign

    with 2 identical artboards for web (300x300px) one in indesign and one in photoshop, click on 'view' 'actual size'.. the difference is huge

    Seems photoshop scaling looks ok

    and indesign is way bigger than the real size in Pixels

  15. Import XLSX spreadsheet to an InDesign table: the "-1" problem

    There is a bug by adding linked xlsx-files to InDesign when the cell in Excel contains a formula which returns text. There is no issue with numbers.

  16. CC Library

    I'm trying to add colours and paragraph styles to my cc library, however, when I try to rename anything or even type within the feature nothing types and the keyboard pretty much does not work at all.

  17. optical margin alignment and index entry

    I have optical margin alignment turned on. When I add an index entry, if the line it is in has a margin adjustment on the left side, then the right edge of the line becomes indented the same amount as the adjustment. I am currently using ID 15.1.1, but I have seen this error since at least CS 6.

  18. GREP match expressions with endnote marker doesn't work correctly

    Some GREP match expressions with endnote marker don't work. For instance:

    (?<=~U)(.|\r|\t)

    returns no result.

    (.)~U

    returns no result.

    The same expressions work fine with footnote marker.
    Error appears in all versions of ID up to current.

  19. Background colour is being adding to table when I go to edit

    Since Indesign 2020 installation in July when I go to edit in a table that has colored borders, this colour then appears in the background and it is hard to make changes as you can't read the text.

    How can I stop this happening?

  20. Self-closes or crashes when computer sleeps

    InDesign 15.1.1
    Windows 10
    After putting computer to "Sleep", InDesign is closed upon wakening the computer. Sometimes says "crashed" (10% of the time). Other Adobe applications are still open where left off.
