Can't duplicate and drag pages in pages panel
If I select pages in the pages panel, drag and duplicate to sit somewhere else within the document, it wont duplicate. Even though the + symbol appears as I drag, it only moves the selected pages within the document, it doesn't make duplicates/ Only if I drag and duplicate to sit at the very end of the document, will this actually duplicate. This is the first I've noticed this bug today.

Master page «Based on» does not work properly when objects are bleeding.

When applying B-Master (based on A-Master) on page 5, the objects bleeding on page 4 (linked to A-Master) disappear.

Stack Order changes when pages deleted bug
When both "Allow Document Pages to shuffle" and "Allow Selected Spread to Shuffle" are selected and you delete a spread some text boxes on other pages move behind placed graphics. To stop this unselect "Allow Selected Spread to Shuffle" option.

double layout page has become a PB spread. some pictures missing
In a 36 page document one double page spread has become a PB spread. some pictures missing, page numbers should be 8 and 9 but show PB instead, page background is grey instead of white, see screen shot attached.
This is a disaster as I have to get the completed magazine to the printer ASAP!

Pasteboard size difference between CC 2017 and 2018 causes page view jump
This occurs when I begin to work on a document that was made in a previous version of InDesign, which by default had smaller top and bottom pasteboard margins. The first actual action I perform on a spread — not just clicking; something like moving an object, editing text and deselecting the text box, or creating a new object — causes the pasteboard to increase in size vertically to what I presume is the new default, which also causes the page view itself to jump down. 3 votesTo identify the cause of this issue, we had started our investigation with the aim to resolve it. You might have also received email from us seeking more details to help in our investigation.
We’ve concluded our investigation and came up with the finding : Either the issue is fixed in the latest release of InDesign or the issue was intermittent in nature at the time of its reporting and is not reproducible now.
We recommend you to upgrade to the latest version of InDesign 2020 (if you’re not already on it) as it is more robust.

Dragging the zero point to a new location will not work in rotated spreads
If you rotated a spread view and you want to move the zero point from the origin to a different location the landing point is never the one you dragged the cross-hairs of the rulers to.
It needs a sophisticated script that will workaround this bug. Currently I'm writing one, that should overcome this issue.
Nevertheless, that should be fixed.
Watch the movie clip where I like to drag the zero point to a new loaction and always fail.

Copy a object in InDesign by holding down the alt-key and move obect with the mouse doesn-t work with InDesign CC18 aunder MacOS High Sierra
Copying an object in InDesign by holding down the alt-key and moving the object with the mouse doesn't work any more with InDesign CC18 under MacOS High Sierra. For me this is (has been ..) a key function in InDesign!

Errorcode 2 too now.. (in Addition to Errorcode 4).. Database // Writing Rights...
After having troubles with errorcode 4 since CC17 and High Sierra, now Errorcode 2 enters the stage :(.
First Symptoms: If you are working on a document and you have to re-save it under different names, e.g. you are working with a kind of template and have to import assets and save the INDD files... you always stay in the folder of the file after using "save as" ... but in this case the Indesign points to something like "documents" or another default folder after clicking "save as".
After that i am not able to save the files or load…

Problem with Ctrl+A
When you select a file with more than 500 pages with the command Ctrl + A, (to export RTF) Indesign hangs for many minutes. It did not happen in previous versions. Problem detected in Win10 64bit, the last 2 versions of Indesign.

Pages/spread overlapping after changing page size
InDesign 2018 CC 13.0.1
Pages and spreads are doing weird things when I resize my document. It creates some odd margin after resize of pages. I start out with 2 pages, document shuffling allowed, facing pages turned off.
Pagespread01112617 - shows the page spread I was working with; each page is 10”x12.25”.
Pagespread02112617 - after I changed the size to 10.68”x11.239” for another ad spread, a weird margin showed up. The content boxes show how there is an odd overlap; each box is 10.68" wide.

Bug with search and replace on locked layers
Hi all,
it seems I’ve found an InDesign bug that is creating some problem on a project for a customer.
I have a document with a table nested inside another table, the layer is locked but I’m able to find the text inside the nested table even if the “search on locked layer” is inactive.
I can also apply another paragraph style to the text inside the nested table (with the layer locked) and this is causing some problem because I need to change the styles of the text of unlocked layers with a script.4 votesThe issue is currently under review.

Objects on canvas move down when new page created
Have just noticed that when I create a new page in the middle of a multipage document, objects on the canvas of following pages are all pushed down an extra page - i've screen capped before/after. I tested on two other documents and one other computer and was able to reproduce the issue every time...

Reproduce issue by: Create multipage document with objects on the canvas. Insert pages using pages palette in the middle of the document; watch all your canvas content move down!

Auto-Fit for resizing photos.
I've upgraded from InDesign CS6 to CC 2018, and cannot properly resize photos proportionately. Cannot locate "Auto-Fit" button though every tutorial/directions say this is what to use.
1 voteThe Auto-Fit button is in the Control panel in CC 2018, just like it was in CS6. There is no change as such.
FYI, it is also present under Object > Fitting > Frame Fitting Options… -

Seid Adobe InDesign 2018 tritt folgendes Problem auf.
Ich öffne ein mehrseitiges Dokument und kopiere eine Doppelseite - mit "apple + c" in die Zwischenablage. Anschließen erstelle ich ein neues Dokument (DIN A4, 2 Seiten) und füge den Inhalt der Zwischenablage über "An Orginalposition einfügen" ein. Nun werden verschieden Textboxen nicht mehr richtig angezeigt. So werden z.B. Texte die über "Textrahmenoptionen" "zentriert" ausgerichtet waren nicht mehr richtig angezeigt. Sie erscheinen nun wie einfach obenlinks ausgerichteter Text. Prompted to save with no changes made to document
InDesign CC
I open a saved document in InDesign, but have no made any changes or touched the document at all. InDesign puts the asterisk next to my file anyways, prompting me to save upon exit. But no changes have been made. This is very annoying because I don't know if a change has been made or the program is messing up. I then have to update all of my PDF exports just to be safe.
6 votesThe fix for this issue is now available in the latest update 14.0.2 of InDesign 2019.
If you are unable to see the update notification yet, open the menu (three dots) from the top-right of Creative Cloud desktop application and click on ‘Check For App Updates’.
Once the update button is shown against InDesign, click on the button to update to Id 14.0.2.If you face any problems with the new update, do let us know in the comments.
