Page Hyperlinks Defaulting to page 1 when Exporting to PDF
I have a multiple documents in a InDesign book. Each document has several page hyperlinks between all of the documents. I have exported this in the past and everything worked fine. Since updating to CC2018 the page hyperlinks no longer work. They all default to page 1.
I had to update some image links and make some text changes so the books and documents are all now in CC2018. I do not see a way to save the indb file as a idml so I think I am stuck on CC 2018.
I am exporting as a print pdf and…

alt text
Also category: Accessibility
I'm having a problem with the PDF tags when applying alt text to a group of items- a feature introduced in the most recent version of Indesign. Even though our articles panel shows separate articles, ALL of the content that comes AFTER a group tagged with alt text will have their exported tags all appear nested within that group as well, ignoring the structure set up in the Article panel. For example:
Article 1
Group with alt tag item in group Item in group more content
Article 2
Article 2 content
Will in the exported PDF appear…

nested hyperlinks
Currently, hyperlinks in InDesign documents don't survive import/nesting into other InDesign documents. It would be great if they did -- it's the only thing preventing me from nesting pages from a "base" document into multiple localized versions...

image position changes on pdf export
I am creating a 'flipbook' of images in InDesign, when I fullscreen the flipbook in InDesign all the image positions are correct and do not move, however when I export to a PDF and preview the flipbook using acrobat, the images do not retain their exact positions and move 1px or 2px on some pages. I have repeatedly checked the image positions in InDesign and and they are all fixed in the same position. Is there any option in the PDF output settings that ensures that the images will be 'anchored' to the correct position?

ALL DAY pdf export
It took 5 HOURS to convert a file to pdf 1. ID had a terrible time reading an Illustrator vector -- same vector on every page. Felt like I was back in 1999.

Compression settings almost ignored when exporting to PDF
For some weeks now, compression settings (almost) do not apply when I export a PDF.
When I use "300dpi-maximum quality" a pair of pages weight 105Mo, but if I use "130dpi-medium quality", the same pair of pages weights 103,8Mo, not exactly the same, but not what's expected..
And If I "optimize" the 130-medium file in ACROBAT PRO at identical 130-medium settings, it reduces to 1,1Mo (which add a step before I can send each PDF by mail to someone)
This apply as well to the ID I receive from other people than to my own creations.

InDesign performance issue: Hangs when exporting to PDF
- Latest Indesign CC, Windows 10
- ID would sometimes not finish the export to PDF task and hangs for minutes. It must then be killed in the task manager. During this it constantly consumes a big lot of RAM and CPU power. See attachment.

Beveled and Embossed image should not flatten during pdf export
A bug that needs fixing:
InDesign Version CC, I embedded an image, applied a shear, applied the bevel and emboss effect, when exporting to pdf, it flattens the sheared image and adds a weird bevel in the middle of the image. Screenshot 1 from InDesign, Screenshot 2 from resulting pdf. This needs to be corrected.1 voteFix is available in version 13.1 of InDesign.

Exporting Emojis to PDF
I built a newsletter with the use of the new Apple Emoji "glyphs" in InDesign and when I went to export it as a PDF, it replaced my emojis with random images from my file.
I talked with Adobe support and learned that only vector emojis can be used in PDFs which is a bit frustrating! Can we update the PDF export capability to include these new emoji features, so we can use the glyphs like I think that they were intended? I'd be a happy camper!! Thank you in advance!

"View PDF after exporting" previously opened acrobat, now my computer switches between opening Illustrator, Mircosoft Word, rarely Acrobat
I've set my computer to use Acrobat as default, yet perhaps you could add an Application of choice to use when view exported PDF.
Not sure if it's just a bug, but any fix would be welcome. Thank you!

endnote
There appears to be a bug in the endnote linking when exported to PDF from InDesign. I'm running InDesign 13.0.1 x64 (Windows).
When I export an InDesign document as a PDF, endnote linking (from the reference to the text and v.v.) is incorrect.
Please see https://forums.adobe.com/message/10048963 for the full discussion. In short:
Create a document with multiple sections (e.g. 1st section with 9 pages, 2nd section with 125 pages). Endnotes in second section will link nine pages too early (e.g., if you have an endnote on page 122, clicking on the endnote in the PDF will link to page 113.

hyperlink
Interactive PDF not exporting hyperlinks correctly
Everytime I export an interactive PDF with hyperlinks, the links have %0D automatically at the end. The hard return code is not in the link in InDesign, I've tried to remove it several times within the working document and Acrobat with no luck. Seems to be a bug.

Failed to connect to Acrobat DDE server
- Latest Indesign with latest Acrobat running on Windows 10 (1709)
- When exporting a PDF with activated option "Open PDF after export" and with Acrobat being already open with a document (but only in display mode and no dialogue window open), it would sometimes not open the PDF in Acrobat, but after a while show an error popup saying it failed to connect to Acrobat DDE server. I never had this in former versions of Indesign and Acrobat.

InDesign 2018 and High Sierra cannot export correct looking pdf
pdf will export but it exports a previously saved file. I even tried saving as a new doc and still it exports to the older art.
1 voteHi
Please provide the following information:
1. What version of InDesign CC (2018) are you using? Is it 13.0 or 13.0.1? You can verify this in the About box.
2. What do you mean by “it still exports to the older art”? Do the linked files used older linked graphics or the file itself is exporting to an older version of the file?
3. Is it specific to a particular file or is happening constantly with all the files? Also, please share the file with which you are seeing the issue, as a package with all links and fonts, at anasgupt@adobe.com

glow
I had created a 1-up postcard for a proof in InDesign, and then placed it in a second InDesign document 3-up. When I exported it to PDF from the 3-up document using "Fiery Optimized" settings, the resulting PDF was missing all outer glow effects. Looking at the PDF, the outer glow on page one was on the "Sacramento Investor" logo on the lower left positions, and on page two, on that same logo, plus the text on top of all the property photos
I packaged the doc and links, which are attached. As part of that process, I created a…
