Changing the Language of Placeholder Text
If you want to change the ๐๐ฅ๐๐๐๐ก๐จ๐ฅ๐๐๐ซ ๐๐๐ฑ๐ญ to a different language, you need to:
1. Click ๐๐ฒ๐ฉ๐
2. Hold down the ๐๐จ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐๐ง๐ (Mac) or ๐๐๐๐ (PC) key
3. Then click
A simpler way would be to add under ๐๐ฒ๐ฉ๐ before ๐ ๐ข๐ฅ๐ฅ ๐ฐ๐ข๐ญ๐ก ๐๐ฅ๐๐๐๐ก๐จ๐ฅ๐๐๐ซ ๐๐๐ฑ๐ญ:
๐๐ฅ๐๐๐ ๐๐จ๐ฅ๐๐๐ซ ๐๐๐ง๐ ๐ฎ๐๐ ๐ ๐๐ฉ๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐ฌ >

[15.1.1.103] Share for REVIEW | Panel is going blank after I did Save As with the same doc name
Connection to the review is lost AFTER I save the document with:
Save As with the same name.If this is "as designed" the feature should be changed!
"Save As" to the same document name should NEVER break the connection to the review.Regards,
Uwe Laubender
( ACP )7 votesThis issue has also been discussed on the InDesign Pre-Release forum. As of now, this behavior is As Designed.
However, we’re going to review this.

Ability to Change Pencil Size
In Share for Review, I have found that the pencil size is incredibly too large for pointing out small areas of text in a document with a lot of body text. An option to decrease the size of the pencil stroke would be great. Thanks!

Share for Review comments link to incorrect spreads on web viewer after reordering pages in InDesign
I am using the new Share for Review feature to get feedback on a 100+ page document I am working on. Previously I tested reordering pages on a small document, and all comments and pins stayed attached to the page they were originally placed on, even when its page number changed.
However, after adding some pages to this larger document, I'm running into a problem where the comments are pinned to the correct page inside Indesign, but the wrong one in the web viewer. On the web, it seems to ignore the added pages and goes by the original page number of the comment.
In the attached example, the comment was originally on page 100, but that page was pushed to number 105 as extra pages were added earlier in the document. In Indesign, the pin appears on page 105, attached to the image mentioned in the comment. On the web, the pin appears on the wrong page.
This problem started while I was using the previous release, and updating to the latest (14.0.3) hasn't helped. I have updated the link multiple times. Thankfully, even after restarting indesign a few times, the comments remain in the right place inside of Indesign.
If anyone has a fix, I'd really appreciate it! Otherwise I hope that Adobe can fix the issue soon. Thank you!

Allow object style to be added to cc libraries
Allow object styles to be added to CC libraries just like paragraph and character styles. with my paragraph styles panel open all I have to do is select a style and the double square with and arrow icon in the bottom left corner to add to my current selected library. I'm asking to be able to do the same thing with object styles.

Cross reference endnotes
At present if you are in a particular endnote and wish to cross reference to another endnote, it is impossible to obtain the new endnote number. While the list of endnotes shows the endnote number, it is not an option to choose just the number. So you only get the full text of the endnote. This is different from cross referencing, say, a list of Figures where you can cross reference just the Figure and the figure number. For some reason the endnote number simply does not exist as a Paragraph Number.

No option to hide the Application Bar in 2020
I noticed in 2020 there is no longer the menu option under the Window menu to hide the Application Bar. I'm not sure why this was removed, for people who don't use it it's just in the way and unnecessary especially when you're trying to use InDesign on a small screen, every inch of screen space counts. Im sure there are people out there that use it, and that's great, I'm sure they find it useful in someway, but we all use the application differently so please allow us the ability to turn it on and off.

Customise Home / Welcome Screen in InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator.. possibly all Adobe programs.
I work across a variety of Adobe programs and have MANY custom templates I use on a daily basis.
It would be great to have the ability to customise the indesign / photoshop / illustrator welcome screen to have shortcuts to my custom templates I use on a daily basis. This could be placed next to "Recent" with "Your Custom Templates" .. something like this.
See this thread for details:
https://community.adobe.com/t5/illustrator/can-you-customize-the-home-screen/m-p/10930430?page=1#M166546I can't imagine this being too difficult to implement. Please look into this!

Suppress Running Header on Chapter first page
Add a setting to Running Header to NOT DISPLAY if current page contains <chapterTitle> style.
This permits a document to reflow, changing pagination, while always suppressing the Running Header on the first page of a chapter. In this way, many documents would retain proper chapter start formatting without having to manually go through and apply a special Master Page (and remove the previous Master Page) whenever pagination changes.

Split Columns doesn't work correctly yet
If I use the option "Split column" all the paragraphs at the bottom of the page aren't splitted, the option doesn't work correctly (1.png), except when the text boxes are closed manually (2.png), as you can see from the attached files.
I don't understand the utility of not splitting two columns at the bottom of the page when this property is selected in the options.7 votes -
External Styles / Style Libraries to push Style updates dynamically and automatically to all documents.
Please develop some kind of External Style file format, that can be applied locally, and hopefully, via the cloud. But at least locally, PLEASE.
It is a crime that InDesign currently has NO WAY whatsoever to keep multiple documents styles synced. I run into this deeply frustrating problem all the time.
Currently, If I create a template file with some styles, and use that to create documents, and then If I update or refine paragraph styles, character styles, table styles, etc โ there is no way for me to easily carry over those same styles to all other documents that are using those same styles.
This is deeply insane.
Please. PLEASE. It is 2019. Fix this.Styles should work like external Sketch file library updates do. They should work like External CSS code. It should be possible to update a style in one document and push that style update to ALL documents using that Style Library.

apply swatch to monotone/greyscale with transparency (psd, png, tiff,ai).
Apply swatch to linked object only currently works with flattened greyscale psd, jpg or tiff. Often I need to change greyscale images WITH TRANSPARENCY (vector and raster) to match colors from other photos in indd. Currently I have to open psd and created several hue adjustment layers, or layers in ai with the color changes, and going back to each as I modify color in the pallette.

Export Book: Option to export documents in book as individual PDFs
When using the book export, it would be wonderful to have the option to export the documents that make up the book as separate PDFs.
This option would be useful whether exporting the entire book to PDF or exporting selected documents to PDF. Metadata embedded in each document of the book would be included in the export to pdf.
For example, I currently create a journal using the book function to pull together and organize the separate INDD files for the cover, TOC, and articles. Once the journal is completed, I need to generate the following PDFs:
- Entire journal as pdf, two versions: 150 ppi and 300 ppi (easily done with current PDF export)
- All journal articles as separate PDFs at 150 ppi for website use
- All journal articles as separate PDFs at 300 ppi
Steps 2 and 3 currently require opening each article and using two different pdf presets to generate the 150 and 300 ppi versions. When there are 20 articles, this becomes quite tedious. The option to export separate article PDFs in a single export action would be an amazing time savings.

Creation of Table of Contents โ Adjustable size of the interface window (width and height)
Creation of Table of Contents โ Adjustable interface window (width and height)
When working in huge and very complex documents โ with dozens and dozens of paragraph styles and very complex table of contents โ, the limitations of the interface window are rather annoying. The window cannot namely be expanded to have a better view of the selected styles.
The number of visible styles is namely limited to four (see screenshot). And the width cannot be adjusted either.
It would thus be a considerable improvement if the window size could be customized in order to have a much better view of the styles one is working with. This would definitely help speed up the work process.
The window size should be customizable both in width and height of course.
Thanks.

Map tags to Object Styles
It would be great to map tags to not only paragraph and table styles, but also to object styles. Paragraph styles have some limitations wich object styles don't have.

Professional Level Graph Tool
All of us professional users need a real Graph/Chart design tool inside Indesign.
It's crazy that you can do this with Microsoft Word or Excel and not with In Design.. Having to go back and forth between Illustrator (whose own graph tool isn't exactly state of the art either) and InDesign is a waste of time for a functionality that should have been implemented years (decades) ago...7 votes -
Compare Indesign Documents
@Adobe:
I often have to deal with INDD documents which seem to be identicaln but ofte there is a small veraiation. It would be super cool if thereยดs a function directly in InDesign like in Acrobat to compare 2-3 documents side by side.cheers Aleks
