1. Step and Repeat "+" and "-" values entered simultaneously

   It would great to have a Step and Repeat option that would allow duplication of an item in positive and negative directions simultaneously. It would be especially helpful in the placement of guides where, if you drew a center point guide, you can step and repeat guides outward from that guide (say 1.5" to the left and right) to allow in visually placed items that aren't centered in the container boxes.

2. Ability to save .indt template files to the new document dialog box

   It would be very beneficial if there was an option to import and save .indt template files into the new document dialog box for easy access.

   Similar or the same as the Adobe Stock templates feature that is available in the new document dialog box.

4. Add an option to show Master Page data in the links palette

   Add options for showing Master Page info to the long list of item in the Links Palette options. Should definitely include "Master Page Prefix" and "Master Page Name", might as well include "Based On" and "Number of pages" while you're at it.

5. Download licensed graphics from CC library to my hard disk

   It's not possible to download/store/save licensed graphics to my hard disk! I have to open my web browser and sign into stock.adobe to do this. Please make it easy!

6. Feature Request (or bug report) in InDesign directly

   When working, I get many ideas who to improve InDesign or what's missing or getting wrong in InDesign. And then I'd like to have a fast feature request form directly out of InDesign. But instead of this I getting forwarded to this forum and that's really to much time to search and the do a new topic.

   I'd like to have a real Adobe support-team! To interchange in an easy way (please no more these horrible mails: "I need more infos to the feature request" After drafting my wishes in the way the support will have, half an hour is away and sometimes it feels, that the support-team is not willing to consider nice user-centered features or they do not know how the users work …)

7. Option for fly-out menus to open to the right.

   Would it be possible to have an option for the fly-out menus to open to the right to keep the live page area fully visible? It's hard working on spreads in book interiors because any window open covers part of the text. If I have room to shift the spread over, InDesign automatically re-centers the spread when I turn to the next page. (Sample window was chosen in PNG because it's generic.)

8. Smaller increments when zooming using Keyboard Shortcuts or Mouse Wheel

   If someone is using a Mac laptop, the zooms that can be achieved using the trackpad can be very precise, however the zooms with Mouse Wheel or Keyboard Shortcuts can be a bit too "jumpy" and frustrating.
   For example it jumps from 50% to 75% to 100%. What I often need given my screen size is 60%.
   Maybe if the zooms were smoother all the time it would allow more users to find the right zoom for their comfort, especially if working with several screens

9. Ideas to improve PublishOnline document navigation

   I often get reports back from clients and users that 'there is only one page in that online link you sent'. I figure if I get a report back like this, there must be a fair few more who experience this but don't report back...

   Viewing a PDF document online via a UI like this is not a common experience for many user types. To improve their experience I propose:

   – An option to always show the page thumbnail selector.
   – Larger, more prominent page left and right arrows.
   – Option to advance through pages on scroll down (or view as continuous pages)

    Please consider creating an IntelliJ / Webstorm plugin which allows the scripting an debugging of all Adobe applications like Adobe Indesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, ...

    This could be a viable alternative to the current ExtendScript Toolkit application, which is outdated, full of bugs, and lakes important scripting features.

    The new plugin should support ...
    - All Adobe DOM's
    - Full code autocompletion
    - Code hints
    - Connecting to the Adobe applications, allowing real time debugging...

12. Opacity of a cell fill

    There needs to be an option to control the opacity of a cell fill.
    The only option now is to go to cell options > Strokes & Fill and change the tint, but the effect is not the same as opacity (that will apply only the fill and not the text in the cell).

13. Layer selection when creating Table of Contents

    A book having multiple subdocuments in which 3 different languages are used, that each have their own layer, should have a selection of which layer should be addresses when generating the table of contents for it, so that the ToC can also be made in the different languages, per layer.

14. Seamless editing between applications.

    I want to be able to place a creative asset inside InDesign, then right click and choose "edit in Photoshop" or "edit in Illustrator", and any saved changes would reflect in the original InDesign document.

    For example, I inserted an old PDF file into InDesign because it contains a logo which I do not have the vector file anymore then resized the image block to only show the logo and not the rest of the document. Now I want to create a new vector file of the logo in Illustrator, and it would save a lot of time and effort if I could simply right click on the logo and click "open in Illustrator"; convert it into a vector image and fix niggles; save the image; and have the 'new' vector image replace the old PDF file.

15. Backup the user-defined Document Presets in a different file than Preferences

    At the moment, if a user creates several "New Document" Presets in the "New Document" window, they will be deleted if the User has to reset their InDesign preferences.

    It would make more sense if the hard work that is put into creating New Document Presets was saved in a different system file (or clouded) so that
    1-they don't get lost if resetting InDesign Preferences and
    2-the Presets could be shared with other team members easily

16. make styles palette at book level (as well as variables, master pages and other shared book elements)

    then, there could be a switch button in paragraph styles palette for documents (as well as other palettes) that makes all styles "inherited" from book "superpalette".

    I mean, that I would make ONE set of styles which will be instantly propagated into all book documents, (which have this switch in "on" state).

    I know it can be done with book "synchronize" button, but it is not working, when you change styles name in one document. Synchronizing just add this style as a new to synchronized documents, instead of changing its names everywhere.

    And, last but not least, there will be only one place to check for variables and styles used in whole book.

17. Bug: XML w/Images Export (filename)

    Just discovered during XML w/images export that ID is converting images w/spaces in filenames to underscores (causing mismatches, XML itself is correct) — is this a bug? Using ID 13.0.1

    Btw - I know this is a feature request post, but I can't find an easy way to submit bugs!

There are a number of colors available in Swatches Library but when need a specific Pantone color it might not be available because there is limited set of Pantone color available, you can create a new color swatch in Illustrator Indesign but the name color swatch is defined by Pantone so you will need to contact Pantone to get the exact color you are looking for.

20. Output intent of placed PDF in link panel

    You can easily look up ICC-profiles of placed images on the Links-panel.
    It would be great to see the embedded profile in pdfs there.

    You can look it up via Acrobat and it's metadata (OutputConditionIdentifier)
