Smart button interfacing
I had an idea which could be applied to all of the applications. Essentially the idea is for a 'smart' button.
Often when I'm diving in and out of the interface I miss clicking on a button, sometimes repeatedly. What if the button had a 'snap to' effect, this could be set with a variable through preferences. It could be set to 1 pixel or 100.
This could be toggled on and off utilising a short cut. So you could activate it for different methodologies. It could also be disabled completely.It would allow for faster and smoother interfacing. However…

Swatch Grouping
The Color Group function is really useful, but it only works in the creation phase if you select multiple colours. There's no obvious way to add a colour to a group after it's been created - there's no contextual menu option, there's no palette menu option, and seemingly, you can't drag and drop it into the folder, which is counterintuitive as this is something users do all the time with Layers. Round corners should not be quarter circles connected with lines.
The eye will spot the connection points so these points need extra care.
Adobe should study how Apple shaved off these points on the icons in the iOS. System iOS 6 had the round-corner-fault but in iOS 7 the shape is much better.
I wish Adobe could give us tools to control the round corners, to shave off these connections points. Old Freehand had this feature. Please bring it back to Illustrator and InDesign.5 votes -
Non printing layer attention value
Since the latest update of Adobe CC I noticed that across the suite, when you double click a layer and set it to non-printing, the label is no longer displayed in italic. Thus remaining in the dark on first glance at layer palette if a layer is set to non printing. I use non-printing feature a lot but now I don't have a visual reference anymore. Don't understand why this feature was removed?

Fix bug that makes windows invisible/inaccessible on opening InDesign
Every time I first open InDesign, all the windows are invisible/inaccessible, or the window icons are visible but they don't open. The only solution I've found is to quit and reopen the program, sometimes multiple times. Using InDesign on Mac with High Sierra. Application Frame is off.

Find/replace objects according to their X/Y coordinates
Dealing with multiple InDesign books comprising thousands of pages, I would need to find all objects located at (or, preferably, within) certain X/Y coordinates, so as to automatically reposition them. You've made halfway to this in CC2018, implementing the size properties in the find/replace dialog box.

Make style name indentations smaller
Lot's of unnecessary whitespace, requires wider than necessary panel widths on smaller screens.

Ability to add color labels to individual styles to better organize and manage large lists of styles
Similar to how pages can be labeled with a color (also see layer colors in Photoshop).

Inline search filter for all styles panels and swatches
Alle styles and swatches panels should have an inline search filter to narrow down large lists of styles (similar to the quick apply window and the layer panel in Photoshop).

Timestamp for jobs in general
It would be cool if the Adobe programs could timestamp the work you do.
So that you could see how much time you use on a project.
There could be variables like if mouse movement and keyboard is inactive in x seconds, the time stops.
And even cooler if the jobs (ai, psd, indd) in a folder could be collected in an overall calculation of time used.
That way, you could tell the customer or your boss, that this jobs was done in 3 hours 32 minutes.4 votes -
CC Library Issues
In our pre-press workflow we package jobs for archiving which includes pulling copies of files down from CC libraries. It would seem that each new library names files sequentially 'Artwork 01, Artwork 02' etc. A significant problem arises when you need to use jobs from multiple sources to create something like a folio. You then have multiple copies of - say - Artwork 01 which the software then rename Artwork 01-1, etc. Best would be if filenames could either be determined or are sourced from the filename when elements are added.

Illustrations should be movable anyway

Huge problem and fault of Indesign is the anchor feature.
The layout of anchored Illustrations can NOT be moved around freely on the page it is anchored on. If you try to move the graphic around ANYWAY on the page or the before it or the next page, the text is OBSCURED OR DESTROYED —the text is underneath the graphic. If you use the "inline" function the result is the same. The ability to move the "anchored" graphic anyway is very LIMITED. The TEXT should re-position itself around the image wherever it is moved.

Searchable colors
I think it would be beneficial to have searchable color names in the swatches - so if I were to be replacing one color with another, I could type the name of the color I am looking to replace. to narrow down my search.

Multiple masters for pages
I design the labels for a company. They have a huge amount of products, and a lot of times the same product has a different label when the weight is different, or when the product is sold to a specific location.
It would be great to have the option to apply multiple masters per page. That way you can separate some repeating graphics that occur in certain situations. I would like to be able to have certain elements of the design be applied in certain labels, and I would like it to be with a master. So a label will…

Book files | make list of all files seachable and make groups for better overview
When having a Bookfile with a lot of files in it. It is nearly not possible to find the right files. It would be nice if it would be possible to make any groups and make it searchable to find them easier.

make book remember relative (to book file) chapter documents path
book should "remember" documents paths relative to book own file path.
After copying whole folder with book and documents files to new place, the book is opening chapters from old place instead of the one, that they are.
Just like it is in Framemaker.To omit this error, you have to change the name of old folder.
