Add Permission based Security to Adobe Cloud Documents to permit Web Access and Editing without Download to Local Server
I wish to post a large number of INDD Documents as Master files to permit Access and Editing with Saving only to Cloud and not to local drive for those without permission. I propose a second level of permissioning such that we protect original master "template" documents from being downloaded or saved to users local drives unless granted specific permission. This way I can engage remote users to populate and prepare files without risk of losing our valuable IP.

COMMAND + "O" to open a new file. It works in other Adobe programs but not InDesign for some reason? SOOOOO simple you'd think.

Fonction break apart pour les elements de texte
Bonjour, en tant qu'éditeur de feuillets publicitaires une fonction qui me manque dans Indesign est celle de pouvoir "casser" un grand paragraphe en lignes, c'est à dire que, lorsque je place mon descriptif de tous les produits présents sur mon dépliant je sois capable de le démembrer en lignes, contenant chacune le descriptif d'un produit, snas être obligé de copier ligne par ligne de mon ensemble de descriptifs pour constituer ainsi un bloc de text séparé pour chaque descriptif (cette fonction est présente sur CorelDraw sous la description "break apart" - CTRL+K).

Flatplan in Bridge
Preparing a magazine without a publication tool like Woodwing or PlanSystem is challenging. You need a flatplan, yet such a tool does not currently exist.
It would be sufficient if Bridge could display all the pages of an InDesign document and allow the insertion of PDFs for advertisements between them. Then, linking this sequence of pages to the document's pagination would be necessary.
This would be a great help.

Why can't the "cell style" control the height of the line in the table?
If the "cell style" can control the height of the line, it will definitely save a lot of unnecessary operations. I wonder why it should be set manually?0 votes -
Add option to "Find this style" just like "Find this colour"!
I would be great to have the ability to find a style (Paragraph, Character or Object) straight form the panels (Ctrl + click on a style) to quickly find obscure and unused styles without having to open the Find/Change panel.
This option is already available to find a colour in a document and it is very useful, so it would only be logical to do the same for styles, no?
It would be especially appreciated when one takes over a project that’s already been started... with styles galore!

In some jurisdictions they may have to have line numbers, but not in Federal or any that I practice in.
A TOA is a table containing the name of all cases, statutes and other authorities used in the document and the page reference.
One complex is that the reference in the table may be slighly different from that in the text.

Why do you have the Dictionary type in this location:
We refer to the Dictionary type, once in a blue moon, if ever. It doesn't need to be so easily accessible.
One thing that would be useful to occupy this space: the Paragraph Styles drop down menu. We refer to this one numerous times in one day.1 vote -
interactive form checkmark
When building an interactive form with a check list, would be nice to have the checkmark customizable either by font or upload my own icon. The standard one used is not the prettiest.

Embedded Object Styles
I would find it helpful for inCopy files with an embedded Object to use the documents Object Styles.
At the moment I am creating bios, each bio requires a headshot. I have created a basic text box in InDesign into which I have embedded a small graphic frame to which I have assigned the Object Style "Headshot Box". Once this is created I open InCopy, place in the persons bio copy. Import the file into InDesign, edit it and place the relevant headshot in the "Headshot Box". Options: Alignment - Left, Right, Center, and Default Value.
Format: Number, Percentage, Date, Time and Special - Zip Code, Phone Number..
I create a LOT of fillable PDFs and it would save HOURS of time if I could format the fields in InDesign.1 vote -
Exporting an InDesign document to a HTML5 document
It would be great if InDesign will have the possibility in the near future to export/convert an InDesign document to a HTML5 document. Now you have to buy an expensive subscription for the In5 Plugin to do this.

Add New Stand-Alone Styles for Tracking Changes in Layout View
There are times when I need two lines of text to stay in a frame/page. I can do this manually, but I get overrides. I could accomplish this using paragraph styles, but globally it would impact other frame layouts; or result in many more paragraph styles (I already have over 40 for long documents). I could do it using character styles, which I do, but then I lose other necessary character styles like italics applied to a book title.
If we could have a separate Style for 'tracking', kerning, character spacing, character width, etc. it would. be so helpful.

Improve Performance when Using Multiple Paragraph Styles with GREP
I love the capability of using GREP in a paragraph style, but cannot use it much without penalty. If I used too many, the performance slows way down and crashes occur much more often. I have a high horsepower PC and a Macbook Pro with apple silicone, both with 32GB ram and both suffer from this issue.

Show Preflight error if there are objects on pasteboard
It would be really helpful to have a feature in Preflight profile settings to alert you if there are any items left on the pasteboard.
I often have to supply files for translation and any items left on the pasteboard may either incur extra translation charges or cause unnecessary confusion at back end. I know there is a script to remove pasteboard items, but I would prefer seeing that red dot as I often handle other people's files in which the objects may be in the oddest of places, such as far to the side and out of view even…
