  1. Allow unlimited characters in Share for Review

An issue that keeps coming up with my clients is that they would love to write more comments within the "Share for Review" feature, but because of the character limit, they have to share their comments with me in a separate email. Could Adobe implement and unlimited characters for the Share for Review?

    Thank you!

  2. master page & character style search function

Add On for Organized ID Files:
Search function for Master Pages and character/Paragraph... styles. In addition to the suggested folders, a search function would be great.

  3. Saving Online PDF on different cloud

There needs to be an option to save the online published PDF on either google drive or iCloud or dropbox. When we have to handover projects which involve ebrochures, its a prime necessity that the Urls generated can be stored by the client itself. Being a designer, I dont know how to send all the rights to the client for online published data.

  4. mandar a revisión libros

    Muchas gracias

  5. Urgent support needed for .webp images in InDesign & Photoshop

With the latest MacOS update Safari is now allowing .webp images. As a design studio we do LOTS of moodboards, research docs etc. gathering 100s of images at a time. Now I realise half need to be manually resaved — and in Preview of all places because not only are they not supported in InDesign, but Photoshop either. Urgent help needed!!!! This is adding so much time to my day.

  6. zoom the index

I heavily use the Index tool which usually takes very long working hours, and find it increasinlgy damaging for my eyesight to stare at those tiny chacacters and boxes. I would find it very usefull if the dialogue box and its content could be expanded or zoomed, as the rest of workspace.
It would also be usefull if the text boxes could be bigger, so as to be able to see long iong index entries more easily. Thanks!

  8. 3 new features for web address problems - a major problem in modern textual books

In textual books there now can be hundreds of web addresses used within the text and references. There is a major problem with them in the fact that in justified text they can cause:
    (a) widely spaced lines
    (b) InDesign can insert discretionary hyphens to try to split the address to make the word spacing better (which means that when printed the web address would be wrong for the reader as it has hyphens that shouldn't be there).

The only workaround at the moment for this is to remove the discretionary hyphens by either hitting a return in its place,…

  10. Update a existing link of a publish online document from another adobe subscription id or another system/computer.

I have created so many publish online docs for clients and now all the final output links are hosted in my Adobe Server login.

Now I want to transfer the publish online doc .INDD package file to the client as he want to make the changes in it and update the existing link in the server.

Now the problem which I am facing:

    1. If the client make the changes in the InDesign native file and he is publishing the document then the link generated will not be the same. Is there anyway to get the publish online doc. package file…

  11. Restart footnote numbering flexibility

Currently, regardless of whether the "Restart Numbering Every: ...." checkbox does nothing to force footnotes to continue across multiple, unthreaded frames. I would have thought that if you didn't tell it to restart, it would not and would continue to increment each time if found a footnote - but that is not the case. We have various footnote scenarios based on our different clients:

For some, they want the footnotes numbered consecutively throughout their report. Others want it restarted with every major section. But these reports are complicated - hundreds of pages - and it is very inconvenient to thread…

  12. Split screen view

I use comments from PDFs to update work I do in InDesign. Split view on the Mac is the ideal scenario.
Acrobat Pro DC allows split screen.
InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop (CC 2019) do not.

What's up with that??? Come on Adobe. You're better than that.

  14. Automatic tables by adding 'Column Space'

This would be a major improvement of tables in InDesign that would be the envy of any other program and I think it is possible for InDesign to do it.

This feature would automatically make a table go to its text box width with even spacing between each column of text.:

This is how it would be done with a new feature called something like 'Column Space':

    (1) You would make sure the table is within a text box to the width you want the table to go to.
    (2) You would then adjust the columns of text within the…

  15. Give us a way to turn off "Space between paragraphs of same style"

I don't know why this new typesetting option was considered useful, but it is driving me crazy. Is there a way to turn it off?

  16. Make Text variables recognise text variables 'from previous page'

At the moment for dictionary-type work, using text variables for running heads gives you the option of showing the first word on the page on left-hand page running heads, and the last word on the page right-hand pages. BUT where the feature lacks is if the left-hand page starts half-way through a paragraph. For example, if the last dictionary word on the right-hand page is 'peanut' but the paragraph goes over to the next left-hand page, you want it to show 'peanut' at the top of this left-hand page as it is a continuation from the previous page, but you…

  17. Italics shown in text variables

When you use text variables for running heads, if the chapter title has one of its words in italics, for example, the text variable does not recognise the italics. You can therefore not use a text variable in this instance without lots of cheating to get round it.

  18. Endnote text should appear in galley and story views in InCopy

They could work the same way that footnotes do, inside of a stylised bracket at the location of the note marker.

  19. Complete integration of InDesign Form and Acrobat Form

Scenario: The client needs content changes after approving design/form process -- that means I scrap all of my acrobat calculations in the form fields to make the changes in InDesign.

It would be great(!) if InDesign supported either a "round-trip" editing process or has all of the features of Acrobat forms. I really don't care to edit in Acrobat, because InDesign is far superior for layout of complicated forms, with more editing tools, master pages, layers, etc.

As a side note, I think a really great feature would include a "form cell" style, for both character and paragraph. It is…

  20. Show IDLK files in Bridge for Cloud workflows

With the pandemic we've shifted from an on-premises server (which was decent at stopping people going into the same file at the same time) to using Dropbox to perform the same functions. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to respect other people's IDLK files. Finder (Mac) and File Explorer (Windows) at least show you them, so you can avoid opening a file that someone's working on but in Bridge they're hidden and there's no obvious way of overriding this behaviour.

Could we see them please? Thank you!
