Allow full functionality for publishing online - blend modes, page transitions, etc w/animated objects
I've been working with a new media document that has video, sound and artwork to export as an interactive graphic novel - When animating objects, blend modes are not retained. Page transition feature - "turning page" also not supported.
Spoke with adobe and verified all tonight... he said "I'm trying to do something new". XD I could see this being very useful for graphic novel designers and other new media applications in the film and streaming space as well - would love to have this functionality in the next update so I can finish this project!

Artifact dot leaders
When dealing with accessibility compliance and Table of Contents, it is best practice to artifact the dot leaders so the user does not have to listen to "dot dot dot" or "35-dot" before each page number. If we could assign a artifact TAG to the leader in the panel when we create the TOC settings that would save HOURS of work on the PDF side having to artifact each one.

Windows Could Not Automatically Detect This Networks Proxy Settings
There are a big number of users who face network issues in windows 10. A prompt shows up as ‘Windows couldn't automatically detect network’s proxy settings’ on the taskbar. The error although isn't something that's specific to any particular build. Corrupt system files most of the time plays the villain. For More Info:https://techtreme.com/windows-cant-automatically-detect-network-proxy-settings

Adding one additional tool to the tools panel to delete the object
I am working with lot of icons and queries. While doing correction there are many objects should get delete, For that clicking every object and pressing delete button in keyboard takes more time. Instead if it is one dedicated tool is there so that I can click that tool when tool touches the object it delete the object without pressing delete button in keyboard. This option should work well even with anchored objects.

Consistent asterisk use for unsaved files
Would be nice to keep the asterisk for unsaved files consistent across Adobe apps: in Indesign the asterisk is IN FRONT of the filename, in Illustrator and Photoshop it's AT THE BACK.
I sometimes think I've overwritten a file just because the asterisk isn't where I expect it to be :(2 votes -
Make GREP dot (Any Character) match Footnote Reference marker.
Make the GREP dot (Any Character) match ~F (Footnote Reference marker).
There is no reason that a query like .+ would stop when reaching a footnote marker. This should select the entire paragraph. This behaviour have been in InDesign forever and should be changed.

Table of content number cross-reference option + Texte Hyperlink
Hi all,
Two option that can really be cool in TOC are :
- an option to creat ''Cross-Reference page number''
- an option to generate an hyperlink to the destination page for the TOC entry (Text and Page number)
Like that, in bigger documents, with multi table of content (in my catalog project, I have a main TOC with all the section title + 1 TOC by section (with all the products titles and page number too). It could be great to generate those TOC automaticaly, and, have the number that are update automaticaly when we add or delete a page.

Equation Editor for Mac OS version
It is very sad that Adobe relies so heavily on third party developer to fix issues for services that we CC subscribers pay for already. It is very dissapppointing that I have to search the internet for an app or plugin to do something that should be built into a product such as Indesign. I should not have to purchase anything that creates a function that this software should provide based on the context of what it is supposed to do. Indesign is in all forms a layout and typeset application that for the steep cost should provide the ability…

GPU preview keeps switching off
I generally make use of the GPU preview functionality built into InDesign, but recently I've noticed that files keep reverting to 'Preview on CPU'. I can't see any way of preventing this so I'm wondering if it's a bug'.
It's not a speed issue for me so much as a preview issue. Without GPU preview switched on, imported images look way too bright with particularly garish reds. I'm hoping it's a software thing rather than a graphics card on the way out. Any ideas anyone?

Panels should not overlap the page vertical scroll bar. Instead they should snap on right side of the pasteboard [Offset the width of the scrollbar] allowing access to the scrollbar. saving you have to close panels

Add "Reveal in Explorer" option in Windows version
Why isn't this feature available on the Windows version of InDesign? It's always been there on the Mac version. When right-clicking on an open document's tab, there should be an option at the bottom that allows revealing the current document in Explorer.
This feature is even available in Photoshop for both versions as well! It should have been added for feature parity long ago and it's a useful feature to have.3 votes -
Enable column rules to ignore text wrap and anchored objects.
As it is now, column rules adhere to text wrap and will no longer "extend" if near an image with text wrap applied. Furthermore, placing an anchored object, an inline image for example, causes the rule to exhibit the same behavior in that it stops once it reaches the anchored object. Would like an option for column rules to simply ignore text wrap/anchored object so that the rules continue to extend.
This would help me (and others) to keep a consistent appearance as needed. In the attached example, there's a 3 column product listing where you can see how awkward…

Import a multipage PDF into existing graphic frames
I need to be able to set up a document with graphic frames, then import a multipage PDF using a script which places each page into each frame. When the script encounters a page not containing a frame, it will miss it out and place into the next available frame.

Make search and replace aware of HTML web addresses to include or exclude them
S&R knows how to limit searches to who words or by capitalization. Give it the ability to include or (more important) exclude HTML web addresses. I often have to search an entire book replacing some hyphens with N-dashes or M-dashes. Quite a few of the search results are webpage addresses whose hyphens I do NOT want to change, often hundreds of them. It's be great if searches could exclude web addresses.

Multiple footnote referencing
I thought of a way to implement multiple references to the same footnote without breaking HTML links between footnotes.
You could allow for the creation of multiple footnote links from the text into footnotes that point to the same footnote, with a sequence of different secondary designations. For example, footnote 1a, 1b, 1c... all could point to Footnote 1. Then, in the footnote, you could open with 1 a b c ..., with the different letters providing alternate linkbacks to the other places in the text.
This is how Wikipedia handles multiple referencing to the same citation, so there's precedent.…
