To identify the cause of this issue, we started our investigation to resolve it. You might have also received an email from us seeking more details to help in our investigation.
We’ve concluded our investigation and came up with the following: Either the issue is fixed in the latest release of InDesign or the issue was intermittent at the time of its reporting and is not reproducible now.
We recommend you upgrade to the latest version of InDesign 2026(v21.0.0.192) as it is more robust and contains a lot of bug fixes.
We seek your support in our continual effort to improve InDesign.

Fix for this issue is now available in the latest update of InDesign 2021 – that is, InDesign 16.2.1
In the Creative Cloud Desktop application, click on the Updates section on the left. You should be able to see the Update available for InDesign. Please update your InDesign application to this version to try out the fix.

I checked it with several fonts, it happens not only with Minion Pro but with all fonts that have no "Book" font style.
And it looks like it's the same with "Roman": if you use a font with font style Roman (yeah, I found one in my font list, dunno why) which has no Book font style the search for Book will mark the Roman styled text.Rainer Klute

In addition to this the stroke that should not be visible is kind of angular, and the letters themselves, too. The screenshot shows it.
