Indesign 2022 (17.1.0.50) IDLK file does not lock
This problem was recently flagged as resolved, but despite the newest InDesign and MacOS versions it is still possible for two users to open the same Indesign file. We are working on a network volume over SMB and it is possible for my colleague to open the same file I am working with. The *.idlk file was generated by the first user, but it is not recognized by the second Indesign user and sometimes subsequently just disappears.
I also tried to reproduce this issue with Indesign 2020 but all worked just as expected.

Indesign user from the future (2024) here: Indesign 19.3 still does not honor the *.idlk file for the document.
Also can we please have NONE-cryptic lock file names please that don't cut off after 16 or so characters? This is especially bad if somebody (like we do) work with multiple versions (filename_ver#.indd and filename_ver#_user.indd) where all lock files look the same and no one knows which lock file is for what file version because it's cut off!
PLEASE fix this and don't break it again - It's crucial for working on documents in teams! -

Same Problem here since InDesign 2021. Now using InDesign 2022 (Version 17.1). It doesn't matter if it's a local file or from the network volume. Sometimes my colleague can open files while I am working in them. Also it is possible to re-name the files while the file is open (ILDK is created, but doesn't lock the files).
This is a heavy risk!
