1. Pages panel doesn't scroll all the way down

   When the pages panel is filled up vertically with the pages, and when the panel is set to "View Pages > Horizontally," the panel does not scroll all the way to the bottom, and the page numbers of the bottom pages are cut off.

   This is easily reproducible in any new document with reset InDesign preferences.

2. Indesign 2024: 2024 version files open as Read Only - but only sometimes.

   When opening files, created in earlier versions but already opened and saved as newer version, often, but not always, open as READ ONLY. Of course I'm not checking every time I open a file to see if it's read only because I've already updated the file to version 2024 and only realize when I try to save. PLEASE FIX THIS

3. undo() does work, but spawns pointless error

4. Damaged capitals

   In Design 19.3 x64
   After pouring in an editable file (MS Word 2010), where the capitals were in the footnotes in the names of the author(s) and editor(s) the capitals did not include the last letter of the last name or the last two letters.
   Earlier versions (3-4 updates) worked fine.
   Selecting the author's name and including capitals does not help. Further the last letter (or two) are not capitals. You have to mark the name and a comma (sometimes even a space) to make the full name capitals.
   It takes more time, more attention to correct all the footnotes. This is irritating.

   In Design 19.3 x64

5. Documents not showing when changing screens.

   When disconnecting my MacBook Pro from my Apple Studio Display open documents are not showing on the laptop screen - only blank grey screen. I can mark its content but nothing but bounding boxes are visible. Have to shut down all documents and start all over.

6. .svg library assets are not supported anymore at version 19.3

   Elements from the library with the .svg file format are no longer supported in version 19.3. In Illustrator the assates still works.

7. critical display problems! please fix it!

   New version from 19.0–19.3 causes terrible display/view problems! See the attached screenshot (actions: opened an indd file, zoom in, zoom out...).
   Fix it please, it's unusable in this state!
   Older version 18.5.2 works normally on the same machine!

8. Library assets missing in InDesign 2024 v19.3 but visible in Creative Cloud

   Many assets that i've made and added into my libraries that we use for production are now missing for me in InDesign, v19.3, although they are still present in the Creative Cloud app, and my coworker using the same library but on InDesign v19.1 does not have this issue so far.

   Both of us are on the latest version of MacOs, v14.4.

9. Crop marks encroach inside bleed zone

   I work in a print shop. Bleed and crop marks should NEVER, NOT EVER, encroach into the bleed zone. InDesign should be set up to default the crop mark offset to automatically match the specified bleed, so that the crop marks in a PDF appear OUTSIDE of the bleed zone.

10. Apple's Spoken Content not functioning in InDesign 19.2

    I use Apple's Spoken Content to have my Mac read my documents back to me as a way of proof reading sections at a time for continuity and structure (something no spell check provides). When I highlight text I want read aloud and hit the keyboard commands for Spoken Content, the Mac reads the actual file name of the document! If I copy and paste the text into a .indd file for InDesign 18.5.1 and repeat the steps, it works correctly and reads my text out loud. It works if I open any .indd file that is not saved in 19.2.
    PLEASE FIX THIS - accessibility for Spoken Content is a necessity for ADA users.

11. InDesign 2024 panels expand abnormally when application frame is OFF

    Recurring issue from one InDesign upgrade to the next! Found 2- and 6-year old reports of the same bug. In-between updates fix it but reoccurs with every new upgrade...

    ISSUE
    When Application Frame is disabled, panels that are on the right side of the screen don't expand towards the left as they normally would but to the right.
    The bigger the UI scaling size, the more to the right of the screen the panel expansion moves, soon disappearing altogether. Only smallest sizing allows to display properly.

12. 19.2 Performance (esp. Type Tool)

    Starting with version 19, but especially with v. 19.2 (MacBook using Sonoma 14.3.1), InDesign just SLOGS. Every time I select the Type Tool, it's about 3-4 full seconds (including the "spinning ball" every time) before the type tool is accessible to me.

    I am a long-time power user of InDesign and this is incredibly frustrating. My brain and hands now work much faster than the application — didn't always used to be true. Click and wait...click and wait...click and wait. That's what using InDesign is like now. For 700 bucks a year. Yuck!

    Have you made the program TOO FAT, with too many features, so that core performance can't handle the weight anymore? I just want to make beautiful pages, meet my deadlines, and not want to punch the screen.

13. gpu view corrupt!

    Apple Mac Mini M1, 16GB / Adobe InDesign 19.2: even after today's update, GPU view doesn't display correctly some objects on the page! CPU view ok, overprint view ok, but after switching to GPU view, some objects disappear! Please see the attached footage.
    Adobe InDesign 18.5.1 on the same machine works ok with the same document.

15. Variable Font Custom Weights Not Available

    InDesign 19.1. I recently installed a new variable font from Monotype (https://www.myfonts.com/collections/unitext-variable-font-monotype-imaging). When using the slider to adjust the weight variable, the font breaks and defaults to the regular weight.

    The same font works fine on Illustrator. Other variable fonts on InDesign (e.g. Acumin Variable) also work fine, so the issue seems to be tied to this specific font and InDesign only.

16. Small implied movement when selecting elements

    I have an issue with the latest versions of InDesign.
    Whenever I select any element/object/text/images etc inside my Page or any pages, there is a delay in the selection with a tiny registered displacement of the selected object by one or 2 pixels.

    My only solution to fix it is to Cmd+z to invert the latest action that resulted from it. I didn't have that issue a month ago and it is very disruptive, could say that it is anti-productive. I am running Indesign on the latest version of Mac OS sonoma on a M1 max machine. The problem occurs in any situation (trackpad, inboard screen, second display, external mouse etc)

18. Hebrew that is conditioinal text does not export properly to PDF.

    1. This is the case in InDesign 19.0, 19.0.1, 19.1, current beta version. 2-4. Hebrew text with diacriticals (vowels and others) that is marked as conditional text exports to PDF incorrectly. Diacritical marks are missing or misplaced. Sometimes an unexpected box appears. The same file, with conditions removed exports correctly to PDF. (Other exports, e.g., JPG) are correct. The same file exports properly in 18.5

I would provide the indd file but this webpage does not accept indd files. b. 19. gpu

    Enabling GPU causes some object disappear. Switching to CPU causes viewing all objects right.
    When I open the same document in InDesign 18.5.1, everything is shown good.

    This is terrible!

20. Glitching and Lagging

    Mac OS Sonoma 14.2.1 (as well as previous release)
    InDesign 19.01 (as well as previous releases)
    Apple M1 Max

    InDesign (and Illustrator) have become infuriating to use. All graphics and text are constantly glitching when scrolling or zooming. When selecting an element for some reason there is a lag where it things that I am clicking and dragging the element cause it to move. Sometimes it moves a pixel or get thrown across the page.

    I have tried the following
    In Preferences,
    Disabled Animated Zoom to no effect.
    Disabled GPU Performance to no effect.
    Changed Both Display Performance options to Fast, to no effect.
    I have reinstalled InDesign, to no effect.
    I have uninstalled all of Creative Cloud (including apps) ran the clean up application and then reinstalled, to no effect.
    I completely wiped and reinstalled a fresh copy of Mac OS, Installed Creative Cloud and InDesign only and still had the issue.

    Ive had this issue for at least a month but the bug reporting process is so dogshit I figured someone else would report it. I guess not.

    Mac OS Sonoma 14.2.1 (as well as previous release)
    InDesign 19.01 (as well as previous releases)
