1. maximum open indesign documents

   Hello Guys!

   I have a problem with indesign. I cant open more than 140 documents at ones in indesign but i need all my 146 files to export it with twixl for my interactive app.
   Can i change the maximum of documents that i can open at ones???

   Please help me, i need finish my work tomorrow, thanks!

2. can't close file

   Running InDesign CC 17 (12.1.0.56). Having to quit app every time I want to close a file. When trying to close file, application frame remains, but I can not close it or minimize it, or open other files. Am quitting app every time I need to open a new file.

   Running Mojave 10.14.6

3. Pages Panel shows scroll bar starting at wrong page

   This only happens on startup of InDesign.

   I open a document that has many pages from 2 -120.

   The Pages panel has the scroll bars positioned at the top, next to pages 26-27.

   If the scroll bars are at the top of the document, then pages 2-3 should be showing.

4. Stop showing the "Setup Libraries Your Way" EVERY TIME I open creative cloud library

   This thing is beyond annoying. Yes it was helpful the first time I saw it. But once I clicked it off once, I never needed to see it again. But this little f***er shows up every time I open the CC libraries after a restart. GIVE ME A DON"T SHOW AGAIN..... Please.

5. CC library desconfigured after dragging in a table

   Hi there,
   I dragged a table from one page to the cc library panel and it turned black with code characters in colors. I lost all the libraries... can not find them anymore, not even delete this code or replace. Nothing. Please help

6. Cannot save under a new name error code 1, network share, InDesign 2019

   When I am trying to save InDesign document to a network share using Save As or using Save a Copy, InDesign comes up with an error message saying 'Cannot save, file is damaged, error code 1'.
   InDesign 2019 is up to date.

   Are you able to saveAs/ SaveACopy the file locally?
   What is the exact version of InDesign 2019 are you using? 14.0.1/14.0.2/14.0.3?
   Is it happening with all InDesign files?
   Which OS version are you using?

7. Color Dialog issue

   Right now, the color displayed is not the color of the item selected. The color seems to have frozen. If I attempt to use the eyedropper in the color palette selection dialog, the whole program freezes, and it is unusable.

   Second issue, If I double click to select an item in a group, indesign thinks I want to add text and automatically adds selects with cursor to start typing.

   so, two issues, color and forced type selection.

9. [Windows] InDesign/InCopy CC2018 is crashing on document close (icml file with anchored pdf file)

   InDesign/InCopy CC2018 have an issue with PDF (and probably AI) files used as anchors in text frames when the Display Performance/Vector Graphics option is set to High Resolution.

   Steps to reproduce:
   As I'm unable to attach a zip file in here (why?) here's the link to the example:

   1. Start InDesign/InCopy (with settings/cache cleared)
   2. Menu: Edit -> Preferences -> Display Performance -> Adjust View Settings -> Vector Graphics [set to: High Resolution]
   3. Open "crash-example.idml" file.
   4. Select "Update Links" in the dialog (if asked)
   5. Replace crash-example.icml file with a file found in "replace-file-1" folder
   6. Update Content of the text frame (menu -> InCopy -> Update Content or CTRL+F5)
   7. Close the file with CTRL+W (or by clicking "x" in the tab)
   8. When asked to save changes select "No"
   9. InDesign (or InCopy) crashes.

   Additional info:
   * Changing Preferences/Display Performance/Adjust View Settings/Vector Graphics to "Proxy" - the document closes without a crash (but only if the pdf was first loaded with that setting).
   * InDesign versions affected: 13.0.0, 13.1.1
   * InCopy versions affected: 13.0, 13.1.1
   * Versions not affected: 10.0, 11.0, 12.0, 14.0
   * Operating system affected: Windows

   Please provide a fix for this issue in CC2018 as it makes InDesign/InCopy unusable in some workflows.

10. New document dialog is extremly slow

    If I want to create a new document the dialog news at least 10 sec to open. After that I can set my defaults but when I click the »create«-button it takes another 10 to 20 sec until the new document is created. The fans are blowing like ****.

11. Font menu on the Control bar - using the keyboard to replace missing fonts fails

    If you attempt to use the keyboard to amend the missing [square bracketed] font in a given instance, by typing the name, using the cursor keys to select and then pressing enter to confirm, it reverts back to the missing font; rather than the normal behaviour (when a font isn't missing) of designating the font/weight chosen.

12. lexmark printer not printing all elements

    We use Lexmark Laser Printer model CS820
    Windows 10 OS

    We use our indesign file as a template to print custom certificates.
    We change the name on the certificate for each customer.
    The printer will not print all elements of a design: i.e. the images and text are missing.

    And

    Files will often not print immediately but will 'sit' in the printer memory for up to several minutes before printing.

    For a print business this is not acceptable. Please advise with working solutions.

    We have a Lexmark CS827 and this works fine.

13. Find/Replace on a page

    Find can be restricted to Document / All documents and stories.
    How about a restriction to the current page, or a page range?
    And maybe to the visible part of the document, or 'nearby' the current work area?

    In large documents the range of search can be confusing and a cause of errors.

    Another use of this is to quicly find a word or phrase when editing / reviewing.

14. InDesign to InCopy Layout Malfunction

    My company's graphics department develops scientific posters, and as a writer, I often have to make small adjustments to the text and am only given access to edit through InCopy (using version 14.0.2). This problem does not happen with every poster, but I often find that the whole frame of the poster is shifted when I open the assignments file in InCopy (please see example photos). I'm able to make my edits, but I can't export to a PDF without having the bleed, header, etc. shifted as I see it in InCopy. Our graphics department thinks this is a bug in my software. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling with no success. Any help please???

15. Add attributes of currently selected text or object to the "Find/Replace" dialog

    Here's an idea. It would be cool if the attributes of whatever you currently have selected, be it text or an object, could be quickly added to the Find/Replace dialog as your "search" terms. That way you don't have to go through and find all the attributes you want to search for, you could just select something that already has those attributes applied and then search. For instance, if you selected text that was bold italic, red, and 12 pt of a certain font and paragraph style, then those attributes could be loaded in the search box instead of having to input each of those to find all text that has those same attributes.

16. Resized vectors not displaying properly in high quality display mode on drag

    14.0.2 x64 on Windows 10

    Steps:
    1. High Quality display mode (default settings)
    2. Place any EPS vector file.
    3. Attempt to resize it while holding ctrl-shift to maintain ratios.

    Expected result:
    The vector file, resized.

    Actual result:
    Grey box. I have to zoom in or out to get the screen to "refresh" and show the correct image.

    Similar issue happens with placed AI file. Very simple, clearly. Just a triangle. Made in the latest version of Illustrator.

    The Youtube button is an EPS.

    Related: If I use the option "Greek Vector Graphics on Drag" it performs correctly, only now I'm viewing a low res image momentarily where on a Mac I was not. It's a "fix" but it's not an acceptable solution to a feature that should work.

    We’ve concluded our investigation and came up with the finding : Either the issue is fixed in the latest release of InDesign or the issue was intermittent in nature at the time of its reporting and is not reproducible now.

    We recommend you to upgrade to the latest version of InDesign 2020 (if you’re not already on it). It contains a lot of stability fixes.

    I have Adobe InDesign 14.0.2 x64, and my book chapters keep showing a spinning wheel when i try to make any change. Say I need to add one letter, after doing so the ball has to spin 10 times until i can do anything else. This is extremely time consuming and is wasting my time when I have to wait 2 minutes after any tiny change before I can make another. I have seen others posting issues about this over a year ago. All fixes people have suggested do nothing for me. Please help.
    In reading that it could be cross references causing the issue, i opened chapters to which my current chapter refers, and i still get the spinning ball, but not for as long.

19. Text Alignment Issues on PDF

    Mac OS (Mojave version 10.14.6) 2.6 GHz Intel Core i7, Radeon Pro Vega 16 4 GB Intell UHD Graphics 630 1536 MB

    InDesing CC totally up to date, uninstalled and cleaned multiple times.

    When I export a PDF, both with my own settings and the default High Quality Print the text will randomly not be aligned, for example I exported the attached page 5 times with the exact same setting and sometimes it was fine but a few it was messed up. No noticeable pattern, happens when exporting Print PDF and Interactive.

20. Find/Change bug in Indesign 13.1.1

    Text Find/Change seems to have a bug: let's suppose we have 2 paragraph styles, for example a title style and a body text style. In the document I received from our partner sometimes the body paragraphs wear the title style and they were manually overridden to look like the body style. To fix this error I tried to search for texts that has the title style but the font used is that of the body style. Indesign Finds something at the beginning of the body paragraph (a thin cursor-like thing can be seen there: it is the selected something) that is - as Indesign states - of the title style. But as you can see on the screenshot it is definitely not of the title style.

    In grep Find/Change the problem doesn't exist.
