1. "Preview images" not updated or created in certain circumstances

   Description: The previews are not updated in the following cases:

   • When the file is saved in IDML file format (you need to save in in INDD format before)
   • When the saving options are changed (under "Preferences > File handling") and the file is saved. You need to save the file with another name or make changes in order to have InDesign updating the previews.

   Basically, from our tests, the preview images are only generated when the file is changed and saved in INDD format.

2. workspace close when changing scale

   1. Adobe CC (latest update)
   2. Up-scale or down-scale an item (picture, text, etc.)
   3. Up-scaling or down-scaling the item correctly.
   4. Unable to scaling properly and all the workspace disappear. The scaling seems to works without any Enter key being press. So ...when I press Enter or Tab, the workspace disappear. I have to go to the menu, change it to another one before reset it to mine.
   5. The printscreen won't help in this case.

5. Align Towards Spine/Away From Spine in Slug Area

   Not sure if this is better as bug report or feature request . . .

   Spine alignment options do not work for text in Slug Area. For example, text set to Align Towards Spine and positioned in the slug area beside a recto page does not align toward spine.

   It makes sense why spine alignment for objects generally might not work for text not touching a page, since the pasteboard does not have a spine, but the slug area should be recognized as an extension of the page (or, at least, the requirements of the page).

6. Cannot add CC Library P/C styles to documents more than one at a time

   New problem: suddenly I can't add paragraph/character styles from CC Libraries to documents unless I choose them one-by-one.
   (I'm trying to overwrite a previous version of the same styles, which to date I have done without issue nearly every day for months.)
   I have made no changes to my system (InDesign2018 Version 13.1 on Mac OS High Sierra 10.13.4).

   Description of behavior:

   1. Select list of Character (or Paragraph) styles and right-click to use option to add to the current document. "Add" option NOT available.

   2. Select single Character (or Paragraph) style and right click to use option to add to the current document. "Add" option is available.

   (See screenshots below for comparison.)

8. Get error message when exporting document to PDF

   InDesign CC2018 (13.1) -- will get an error message when exporting a document to PDF, especially if it is saving over and replacing a previous PDF version. Then both versions disappear from the finder, and then I can sometimes successfully export the document. Usually takes a couple of attempts before it can export a viable PDF. This just started happening.

11. hebrew support

    hello,
    we are an israeli book publisher
    we work a lot with spelling marks on letters.
    on last versions of photoshop and illustrator and older indesign versions we are pressing alt + different letters and it gives us the letter with marks.
    but only on indesign 2018 it doesnt work..
    we have to do it through gylphs all the time.
    it costs us a lot of time. plaese fix it and let us know. we tried to do it with the indian support and they couldnt do it...

13. adobe stock pricing

    When licensing an Adobe Stock library image from within Indesign I am charged $9.99 but if I but the image on the adobestock.com site it is $2.99. This is recent and is highly annoying.

14. placed indesign shows all layers in file

    It will show all the layers in the placed InDesign file despite the fact on import the option to use document layers visibility is selected. You have to manually select which layers you want visible on import.

15. Auto-Fit tick box does not work and has no effect when placing images into a Frame or Rectangle

    I am using InDesign CC 2018 V13.1. In previous versions the Auto-Fit tick box worked just fine. With CC 2018 it does not. When placing an image into a Frame or Rectangle, ticking the Auto-Fit tick box has no effect. The image is placed into the box at full size. I then have to resize the image manually or using the Fit Content To frame button. I teach InDesign at Cambridge University and this missing feature is confusing for beginners. Please let me now how to rectify this issue.

16. Recent Files thumbails don't match corresponding documents

    When choosing an ID document to open from the "recent files" screen, the wrong file opens; i.e., the document that opens does not match the document that I clicked on. Or, sometimes I get an error claiming that the document cannot be found, but the file is indeed right where I left it. This does not happen every time...sometimes the right document does open from the recent files screen, but not usually. This has only been happening to me only for the past week or two. I have not moved my files, changed folder names, replaced hard drives, or any other changes like that. This happens for files that were even opened and saved from the day before, or even an hour before.

17. Typographer's Quotes bug?

    I've encountered an issue with Typographer's Quotes not working. I've searched extensively online and tried all the usual suspects (Typographer's Quotes is on in preferences, both Document and without any documents open; reset preferences) but I've been unable to fix them.

    After further investigation, it seems that the issue only occurs using a single typeface (Skolar Latin, installed as OTF versions in Windows 10 Pro itself, rather than via Typekit). When typing double or single quote marks in InDesign with any weight of this typeface, then the straight version is inserted, irrespective of the Typographer's Quotes setting. If I do a search for the relevant double or single quote marks and replace them with the same (as this used to fix the issue on the Mac) it replaces them with the straight version, again, irrespective of the Typographer's Quotes setting. However, if I use any other typeface, the issue doesn't occur - all quotes are inserted with the correct Typographer's version.

    I've also conducted some other investigation and, basically, narrowed it down to being an issue (bug?) with InDesign CC 2018 (version 13.1 x64) on Windows 10 Pro (version 1803, OS build 17134.165; Dell XPS 8930 / i7-8700 / 16GB RAM / GTX-1060 6GB). I've arrived at this conclusion due to the following reasons:

    Typographer's Quotes work fine in Illustrator CC 2018 / Photoshop CC 2018 / Microsoft Word on the same PC - hence not an issue with the OTF files, or anything relating to the font files themselves.

    The issue doesn't occur when opening the same file in the Mac version of InDesign CC 2018 - hence not an issue specifically relating to the document file, InDesign preferences, or and Paragraph / Character Styles, or OTF files (as all are the same as on the PC).

    The issue is reproducible in different InDesign documents on the same PC.
