1. Hyperlink window not working

   Hello,

   I'm working on a file from February 2020 that contains hyperlinks. Every time I click to use the Hyperlink window to edit/update urls my InDesign locks up. However, when I try this in a new file I created in December, I'm not having any issues with the hyperlinks window/tool.

   I'm using the latest version of InDesign CC (16.1).
   I open the file, click the Hyperlinks window and the program locks up to where I have to force quit.

   (Not sure if it matters - I'm adding this comment from my Mac, but I'm trying to do this work on my PC, which is my work computer.)

2. Error code: 3 - Cannot save <filename>. The file <DBTMPxxxxxxx> is damaged.

   Ever since I updated my system to Mojave 10.14.6, I have been getting an "error code: 3" warning when saving my file in InDesign 16.1.0.20. Tried doing a "Save As" and adjusting the file name slightly, but nothing I've tried has worked yet. I have had to save an IDML and revert to InDesign 15.1.3.

3. Share for Review from InDesign Book 'artifact' error

   When I try to share chapters from a book for review the Share for Review either doesn't function beyond clicking the 'Share for Review' 'Create New Review' or populates the details with the wrong file name and then fails to proceed (giving an 'artefact' error.

   I solved it by doing the chapters one at a time with no other chapters open and the InDesign Book closed - but it took me a few hours to work this out.

   Even when doing the chapters separately their Title Field of the Share for Review document is sometimes the previous document's name and I have to go back a step or use the delete review copy option to get a fresh (and correct) start.

   I'm on a 2015 MacBook Pro, Mac OSX Catalina 10.15.7, Using InDesign CC 16.1

4. InDesign Buttons and Forms NEEDS an "image field"

   InDesign Buttons and Forms NEEDS an "image field" due to ease of ADA Accessibility logical reading order ease. Adding image form fields in Acrobat is fine but obviously more tedious work is required to order properly. This is a much needed feature in todays ADA demanding environment

5. US English dictionary no longer picking up UK English words as misspellings

   I'm running 16.1. My colleagues are running 16. In neither version does the US English dictionary mark 'maneouvre', 'modelling', 'utilise' and 'organise' as misspellings even though they most certainly are.

6. InDesign 2021 doesnt load 2020 inDesign files correctly - all the fonts and images are missing and uneditable

   Every time I try to open my 2020 files in 2021, the images and font are missing from the document. the fonts are installed but for some reason text and images just are missing from the converted file.
   The first attached file is a screenshot of what the document looks like in inDesign 2021. The second attachment is what the file is supposed to look like, and does in 2020

7. last window size unremembered when application frame turned off

   InDesign on Mac 16.102 will not remember last open document size when Application Frame is turned off. When no document is currently open and I want to open a new document it always fills the entire space on my monitor between the tools on the left and the pallets on the right. I have to manually drag the new document window to the size I want. It's not convenient and user friendly! If the Application frame is turned on - it WILL remember. But as a Mac user I want that frame turned off - like it used to be.

9. Linking a CMYK Illustrator .AI file in an CMYK InDesign imports colors as RGB

   When importing a CMYK Illustrator file in a CMYK InDesign document it converts the colors to RGB.

   This happens in InDesign 2020, 15.1.3. Not certain how long this has been an issue. We recently had to change our links in many files from .AI to EPS / PDF files.

11. bug: empty textbox

    InDesign 16.1 x64, Windows 10

    InDesign wraps text incorrectly when layout adjustments are made. Empty text frames occur. Only when the size of the text frames is changed, they are filled with text again.

12. Make Crop Marks always outside the Bleed

    People who don't understand bleed (and they are out there) leave the Marks Offset setting on default, which causes problems when they send their files out for printing.

    There is absolutely no situation or circumstance in which it is a good idea to have the Crop Marks inside the Bleed. Not one. Not Ever.

    So why do we have to adjust the Marks Offset when we change the Bleed ? Why is it not even offered as an option in the Preferences to set this automatically ?

    It's not just when exporting a PDF, but also when Printing, from InDesign, Illustrator, PhotoShop ...

    This should be easy to fix.

13. Tables with slanted header row

    When tables have long names for column headers, a good design solution is to ***** the header cells and their text, from 20-70 degrees.

    The table still needs to be live, editable, and adjustable (both the cells AND text) so that when needed, the headers can be changed from 60 degrees to 45 degrees.

    And when exported to PDF and EPUB, it needs to have the required accessibility tag structure:

    All we can do at this time is merely rotate the text at fixed amounts: 90, 180, and 270 degrees (shown in the bottom of screen capture). This isn't enough for many table designs, especially for those needing to design for accessible PDF and EPUB.

14. hide cursor in presentation mode

    When in presentation mode (shift+w) I would like to be able to hide the cursor. Even if I move it to the edge of the screen, it's still visible and distracting from the presentation itself.

15. Garbled type on "Welcome to Indesign" page

    InDesign 16.0.2

    Not every time, but often the "Welcome to InDesign" page has garbled/overlapping labels under the thumbnails of all the recent documents as shown in the attached screenshot.

    Changing the size of the application frame window moves the overlapping elements around, but they are still largely illegible. See second screenshot.

    Switching to the list view and then back to thumbnails clears the problem.

16. endnotes hyperlinks

    Endnote hyperlinks are not working both ways.
    
    (1) I can go from text to the endnote by clicking on the endnote number in the text.
    
    (2) However, I can not go back to the text from the endnote by clicking on the endnote number. This is because the endnote number has been modified - font type, font size, and indents.

17. indesign crashes when inserting copied text from an external document

    indesign cc 2021 16.1

    I open an existing indesign document
    I copy text from a google doc / external file
    I insert text into existing connected text frame with the text spreading over both frames

    -> indesign crashes

    (restarting indesign did not help. restarting the mac did not help. wirting text by hand without copying works. copying text within the document works.)

18. Every time I try to save an InDesign file my Macbook Pro Crashes to Black

    Every time I try to save an InDesign file my Macbook Pro Crashes to Black. Files seem to be recovered upon reboot, but reboot takes a while - especially when you save a dozen times a day or more.
