Indesign CC Crashing when assigning character base style to a child style by script.
Indesine crash evry time i try to assign base character style when the text in question have child style. So i have "Product" character style, and "Bold Product". Text field have Product style on it from get go. Then i use script to edit this field and after that i construct new string and put it in field. InDesign Just Doesn't Work
In a brand new file with 300 pages, tried placing a 100-page Word file numerous times, and it just wouldn't work. After a certain number of pages, the text would just stop. Sometimes, it would think that there was more text that I could place on the next page frame, and when I'd do those steps, it would just either create another blank frame, or pile multiple new frames of text on a single page. Chrash when opening tab menue

Crashing when ever I try to open the tab menue. After restart the button menue I never use is shownUsing 16.1. with the same documents works fine

Hyperlink shifts when replacing preceding characters
If I replace a character in front of a hyperlink with multiple characters using Find/Change, the hyperlink shifts.

If only one character is replaced, no shift occurs. Tested with InDesign CS6, 2020 and 2021, MacOS.

Phonetic tie and World-Ready Composer
I'm seeing a behavior that I believe to be a bug. When I have a phonetic spelling with a tie character—for example, d͡ʒ"—using Indesign's paragraph composer, Indesign renders it as three characters—d + [tie] + ʒ. When I change to the world-ready paragraph composer, however, InDesign joins the tie to the character before it such that it can't be moved. I tried using a non-joiner between them, but InDesign just joins the tie to the non-joiner.

keyboard shortcut issues
keyboard shortcuts (e.g. T for text tool, V for select tool) do not consistently work. Sometimes I'll press them and nothing will happen

Two-page paragraph border
I have a picture and the caption on two differentes pages. I want to draw a line between them. So I use paragraph border. In InDesign, it is OK (see image Dans InDesign.jpg) but in the PDF, the line stops at the edge of the page (see Dans Acrobat.jpg). Somebody says me to generage the PDF with board option. It's a good idea but the printer refuses to use this file.

Why the strikethrough & highlight functions are hidden?
Why are the strikethrough & highlight functions of share for review hidden?
Hi. I was really looking forward to the ability to use the Share for Review feature. I find it an immense help for reviewing and proofreading publications.
But when I start using it, the strikethrough & highlight functions do not appear in the browsers.
However, looking in more detail, I see that the options are there, but they are hidden.

Can you tell me how to solve this problem?

Unable to ignore color in a paragraph or character style
Command/Ctrl-clicking on a color in a paragraph or character style to ignore a color previously set used to work but now it doesn't.

Import SVG, crashing indesign
I'm on MAC and I'm using the latest versin of Indesign 16.2.1 and when i import an svg (who come Adobe XD), indesign do not respond and crash.

Some objects won't resize randomly
I'm fining with this latest version that some objects, particularly text will only resize to a certain size. See my screenshot - this is a 1x3 meter banner and I cannot size the text any bigger than what you see on the screenshot it just snaps back. I know for a fact the text is nowhere near Indesign's maximum size as it's 150pt. I can manually change the size of the text to 500pt plus but this throws the layout off. I'm absolutely sick and tired of these constant bugs in this programme.

em dash
InDesign treats two words separated by an em dash as a single word when applying styles. For example, if you create a paragraph style which includes a nested style to set the first three words of the paragraph in small caps, InDesign will set the first four words in small caps if the first three words include an em dash.
An em dash should be treated as punctuation, not a connector. Words separated by an em dash are are separate words and should be treated as such.

Inability to process transparency effects in rollover button states.
I want to create a rollover effect for my TOC. It's a three page TOC. There are almost 200 listings. I cannot make every line a button. That would be crazy. So I wanted to just place the text on one layer, and a 50% transparent box that is a button that appears on rollover. But evidently that cannot be done? How else might I handle this?

Indesign so slow with certain files
I updated to Big Sur and CC21... now a lot of my indesign files don't work, super slow, lagging, any links display as pixelated... I can't use files that have taken me hours upon hours to create. I have been on phone calls and screen sharing with Adobe for over 4 hours and no solve. Have had 2 hours of screen share with Mac, no solve. Help!?

Spellcheck marking correctly spelled words as incorrect
Using the most current version of CC ID
I always have dynamic spelling turned on, and my dictionary is set to English USA, however, some files appear to have flagged correctly spelled words as incorrect, while other files appear to be normal. Screenshot examples, 'Dark' and 'Inspiration'.The issue seemed to come on randomly
Saving as IDML does not fix the issue, nor does restarting the program2 votes
