2. macOS menu bar covers InDesign title bar (multi-screen setup)

   When running multiple screens connected to my MacBook Pro (14-inch, M1 Pro), InDesign's title bar will frequently get stuck under the macOS menu bar on the built-in screen, making it impossible to move the window either to another screen or within the built-in screen. I have to arrange the screens so the built-in screen is slightly above the others (even though it's below them physically) to get the title bar visible so I can move it.

   Interestingly, this phenomenon only occurs on the built-in screen. It's likely that InDesign doesn't know how to handle the macOS menu bar being taller (about 72 pixels instead of, what, 48?) and wrapping around the camera notch, so it doesn't respect the menu bar as a border.

4. Nach jedem update gehen Verknüpfungen verloren

   Es ist ein Graus! Seit ewigen Zeiten gehen nach jedem Update (aktuell 18.4) in jedem Dokument jegliche Verknüpfungen verloren. Gerade bei umfangreichen Dokumenten, die Verknüpfungen aus vielen verschiedenen Ordnern enthalten, ist das schier untragbar! Dieser Arbeitsaufwand ist nicht nur zeitintensive, sondern auch nervenaufreibend, und müsste in meinen Augen auch programmiertechnisch behoben werden.

7. Window Resizing Bug

   InDesign 18.2.1 on MacOS 12.3.1 (have been having the same issue for the past few ID updates)

   When application frame is turned off so that document windows float, document windows cannot be resized as expected. When dragging one edge, other sides of the window resize themselves – example .mov attached.

8. Import PDF Comments not supported

   We are using InDesign CC 2022 version in production and try to import the comments from the PDF which created using the same Indesign file. But we encountered the alert as "PDF is not created from InDesign. Select another PDF to continue". Please check and suggest. Sample files are attached for reference.

9. Tagged PDF

   The document will not export to PDF when "create tagged pdf" is selected. Program crashes every time before exporting is complete. Have tried on different computers. Applications are up to date. Have tried exporting from .indd and .idml file types. Mac OS 13.3.1, Indesign 2023 fully updated.

10. Type on a Path Tool interrupter flow text

    When there is a story (on parent page) with some 'text on a path' above:

    You can't use 'Flow text automatically' to exist pages (by alt\opt+shift) - because it moves the text in the next stories TO THE PATH!

    Note: 'Smart text reflow' *to new pages works well

11. Text rendering bug during regular works and also in the presentation mode

    Hello, I am facing a strange text rendering bug in the InDesign v18.4 on my Mac Pro 7,1 during regular work on the InDesign document (it doesn't matter which one), mainly while using magnifying glass tool (zoom in / zoom out) and during the presentation mode (see video and screenshots).

12. Cross References between files in book dependent on position in cross reference list

    I have a Glossary book with 27 files (one for each letter of the alphabet plus one for numbered items). Each page of the book uses a parent page (*) located in file A which contains a bar with cross refs for each of the files so users can easily navigate. I set the cross refs in the bar to each of my files in the A file, then synchronize the parent pages to update the remaining 26 files.

    When I go to B file, my cross ref palette shows that my A cross ref needs to be updated, and 3 other cross refs have lost their way. When I select Update All Cross References, the A cross ref that said it needed to be updated is now showing the B cross reference, and the other 3 now have red flags.

    This happens in all 26 of the remaining files. To fix, I've had to manually go into the 4 references in all 26 files and relink them to the correct file. While doing so, I noticed that in the cross ref document list, the current file is always in position 1 in the list, and this seems to correspond to what's happening: the A cross ref is always changing to the current file's cross ref when I update, indicating that the cross refs seem to be more dependent on the position the file appears in within the cross ref document list rather than just the name of the file.     This needs to be fixed very soon as every time one of my files gets updated, I need to reexport the book as a PDF, and manually update the cross refs.

    I don't know why K, R, and Y are also breaking every time in every file, but that is also very frustrating. I don't know if those 3 break because of their position in the cross ref doc list also, but if the top file is relying on position instead of file name, the others may not be sticking to the correct file name either.

    Please fix soon as this feature would be so powerful if it were working as expected.

14. Files on home screen after update to 18.4 have wrong modification date

    I updated InD to 18.4 yesterday and today noticed that all the files on the home screen display the same modification date (on the screenshot there is only one with different but this is because I opened it for test purposes). Some of the files on my home screen has been not opened for a few weeks--I was working only a few files recently. Some files are on the network drive, some are saved locally to Creative Cloud folder--there's not much in common.

15. Optimize Indesign for Ultra Chipset

    Please optimize Adobe Indesign / Acrobat for the Apple M1 / M2 Ultra Chipset. We work with huge files with several big images, but when we check the activity of the unit, it only uses only half of the cores and the machine is far away from the limit. But still just export a pdf or reload some images take super long time.

16. Overprint white text when color changed in stylesheet

    When changing color to 'Paper' on a selected text – it automatically is set to not overprint (correct behaviour).
    However if you change the color in a stylesheet, from a color with overprint, to 'Paper'. It will remain on overprint.
    Also the checkbox gets greyed out. So to fix it you must choose another color, uncheck overprint, then go back to 'Paper'.

17. Gros bug d'affichage

    Bonjour, j'ai un bug d'affichage intermittent sous InDesign que je constate depuis plusieurs versions (depuis au moins fin 2021) : lorsque j'appuie sur "w" pour passer du mode de l'écran "Normal" au mode de l'écran "Aperçu", j'ai parfois des aberrations graphiques qui m'empêchent de voir correctement la double-page et qui persistent jusqu'à ce que je revienne en mode "Normal". 18. Greyed out screen when I open InDesign

    Help! I am desperate to figure out why this was happening. I recently cleaned out my computer library/cache to free up storage, then updated to InDesign 2023. For the past couple hours I keep getting this screen. Everything is updated, but I have no idea how to fix this.

19. tool bars

    Tool bars do not appear when opening InDesign 18.0 CC 2023. I have to go to Window, turn on Show Application Frame, then flip that off to have my tool bars visible. This is the case in Photoshop and Illustrator 2023

20. Creative cloud libraries tool displaying smaller than frame 2023

    The CC libraries tool panel appears at a reduced % of the actual window frame size. Sometimes it's usable (in tiny format) but other times you can't actually click on anything.

    Have uninstalled and reinstalled the software and the problem remains.

    Also for what it's worth it only started happening when I installed on my new PC laptop (no issue in same software version but on old laptop)
