Fonts (TTF) work in InDesign 16.4 but not 17.0
InDesign 17.0 on Windows 10 x64
Opened document from InDesign 2021 in InDesign 2022; it was converted as part of that process. All fonts in document highlighted in pink as unavailable. Fonts are all part of Whitney family in TTF format, installed on my local computer. I verified they were still there in the fonts folder.
Used Find/Replace font and there weren't any alerts to say the fonts weren't available, but I tried updating them anyway (including changing to Minion - which worked - and then back again to Whitney, which brought back the highlights).
Could not export to PDF as InDesign said fonts missing.
Closed document and opened it from within InDesign 2021 (16.4), and used convert facility convert back to 2021 format. Fonts all appeared correctly.
I expected InDesign 2022 to be able to open TTF fonts exactly as InDesign 2021 had done. At the moment I do not have a workaround, thus making 17.0 unusable.

having the same issue on Mac, with InDesign 17.2. This is ridiculous.

I can confirm this. TTF fonts that work in MS Word and even Adobe Illustrator 2022 fail to show up in InDesign 2022.
I tried installing them for every Windows 10 user, I tried adding them to the InDesign > Fonts folder and I tried the Document Fonts-folder method. None worked.
Only downgrading to 16.4.1 caused the fonts to properly show up.
I wonder why nobody else is having this?
