Make smart guides work on the pasteboard
Smart guides are a really helpful feature but they currently do not work on the pasteboard area of a document. I frequently use the pasteboard to create design elements which I then move onto the page. This would be so much easier if we had the same guides functionality across the workspace. There doesn't seem to be any logical reason for smart guides to stop working once you move to the pasteboard.

Interestingly, they seem to work when scaling an object to align to another nearby, but they don't work when just moving an object and hoping it snaps near its neighbor...

It would be great to have smart guides on pasteboard, we often need to manipulate some objects on pasteboard before placing them to actual layout location. Please consider adding this feature in next Adobe InDesign version. Thanks

Not quite sure, but I would swear that smart guides used to work on the pasteboard on previous versions on ID. Still, its an utterly necessary feature.
