Import Options for Place from CC Libraries (as there is for normal Place command)
Place from CC Libraries command doesn't have Import Options like normal Place command has – so we can't choose whether or not the Background should be Transparent or not.
FIX THIS. It's such a common function needed and it's still lacking after all these years since CC Libraries were introduced as a suggested defacto for storing, using and sharing common assets.
What takes!?

TOC is insanly hard to figure out.
TOCs in inDesign is the most confusing piece of software I have ever whitnessed. Nothing makes sense. I change the little drop downs in the TOC popup. Click DONE. Close it open it back up nothing is changed. I cannot figure out how to do anything in there at all. And I have googled and watched videos about it for last 2 years of my life. Still have to create TOCs manually. Just a horrible horrible piece of software UX wise. This needs to be fixed. You guys need to take TOC creation and rethink it completely from group up.

Add hanging punctuation for chevrons
Hanging punction is currently not working with chevrons (« ») – which are used in Germany, Spain, Italy, France & Norway. In Quark XPress this works perfectly with one click. I am a professional typographer and would like to have this issue fixed as soon as possible. Kind regards Egil Haraldsen

Bookmark highlited
Once I set a bookmark on a page, I would like the bookmark name to be highlighted in the bookmark panel when I'm on the page. Just like how when an image is selected, the name is highlighted in the links panel.

Google Photos and Docs Integration
It would be great if you could place photos or text from Google services - Google Photos, Google Docs, Google Drive. InDesign would simply need to integrate the Google APIs for those services, then it would be seamless to import these objects - better yet would be supporting of links, so edits to Docs could be updated in InDesign the same way changed photos show update status of linked photos.

Integrate PDF comments directly with Document Cloud 'Send for Review'
Currently it's very effective to download a PDF from Document Cloud after using the Acrobat DC 'Send for Review' and then import the comments into InDesign using the PDF comments panel.
It would be great to cut out the Acrobat round-trip and have InDesign export a file for review directly to Document Cloud, and then automatically add the reviewers comments back into the ID workspace.

Edit Description in Links Panel
It would be great to have a the ability to edit the "Description" column directly in the links panel instead of having to click on every object and then "Object Export Options." Would save sooooo much time to be able to edit the alt text right from the links panel.

Auto Save and Seamless Crash Recovery
During tight deadlines and rapid delivery cadences, the ability to track down and recover the InDesign file with updates in the event that InDesign crashed is troublesome.
The current process is to track down the document within the path below (link available for more recovery methods) and the probability that all updates are available is in question.
• Mac OS X: Users/[User Name]/Library/Cache/Adobe InDesign/Version[#.0]/InDesign Recovery
https://helpx.adobe.com/in/indesign/kb/indesign-document-recovery.html
However, this raises the need to easier more intuitive access to working files if we do in fact need to embrace the inevitability of crash occurrences. If adobe is not enhancing the InDesign product…

Free rotation of sheets
Hi.
InDesign allows you to rotate the sheet at 90º angles to the right, left and 180º.
It would be nice to be able to also rotate the sheet freely, as for example allows Photoshop.
Sometimes when you design, although you can rotate 90º in 90º, you end up having to twist your neck.
I hope you find the idea useful
.Thank you.

Drag an image directly from the links panel to the page.
There's something i'd LOVE to see in inDesign.
Imagine, you design a document, with different images, logos, etc. They come from libraries, folders, bridge, you name it.
Now you realize a logo you used on page 1 needs to replace a logo on page 24. But not ALL logos. And you want to do it visually by dragging and dropping.
You'd need to copy, paste inside, or use the relink command. And may be need to dig in your CC libraries to find it again.
Same thing if you'd like to place it somewhere else. You have all your links…

To implement the Advanced Composition Engine font technollogy
Advanced Composition Engine is a technology far superior than OTF and TTF so it would be a great engine to use within Adobe products. Not just for Arabic and eastern script but for every possible script. It is 2019 so let's get our options to max level.
You can read about Advanced Composition Engine at this article:

Style Application "Tool Tips"
When I create a "complex" style definition with a long set of embedded styles and a "next" style, I want my coworkers and contractors to apply the full style to the correctly selected copy by using the "Apply (style) then Next Style, Clear Overrides" option (right-click Style Name in the Styles Menu).
I would be great if I could attach a "Tool Tip" ("Style Application Tip?") to the Style Name in the Menu--it would appear on application of the style, or perhaps on rollover. Attaching the Tip to Templated Objects on the page would be great also.
Basically, I want…

Snap to frame edges/layers
In Photoshop, there are very robust options for snapping to guides, grids, layers, document bounds, etc. each of which can be turned on and off individually.
In InDesign, snapping is much more limited and it is only possible to snap to guides. This means that whenever snapping is desired, guides must be created, which is an extra step that could be streamlined by expanding snapping options to be more like Photoshop.

the ability to export responsive web graphics
the ability to export marketing web graphics for all the different aspect ratios... ppt cover slides, twitter, facebook, linkedin, instagram, email headers... etc...
for example in illustrator I can do 3x, 2x, png and name art boards to the file extension.
indesign maybe the better place for this the illustrator because I can manage the content with variables, paragraph styles, and master pages

Hello,
In Indesign, it would be interesting in the 'text block' to have the option 'Adapt the text to the block'. The option exists for the image block 'to adapt the image to the block proportionally' to adapt this option to the 'text block' would be a saving of time and the possibility to automate a good number of works. For example, to change from A6 to A5 via the linked article system it works great with the image block and not at all with the text block. The only possibility of action with the 'Text block' is to enlarge…

Please see if using the “Free transform tool” solves your purpose
Just select the object, switch to the Free Transform tool, and place your cursor over one of the corner or side points. When you see the double-headed arrow, drag.-Thanks

Typekit vs InDesign Server
Integrate Aobde Typekit with InDesign server. If we use multiple adobe ID for InDesign desktop application and are having different typekit fonts with different adobe ID, how can we integrate Adobe TypeKit fonts with InDesign Server.

Fit Page to Artwork Bounds or Selected Art
In Illustrator, there are two very useful features in the OBJECT >> ARTBOARDS menu:
--Fit to Artwork Bounds
--Fit to Selected ArtThese automatically adjust the size of the artboard to either the outer boundaries of ALL the artwork on that artboard, or to the outer boundaries of the currently SELECTED artwork.
I use this all the time in Illustrator. To my knowledge there is no equivalent InDesign feature that automatically resizes a PAGE to the artwork on it. This would be very handy

scroll through PDF pages while ALREADY placing with cursor directly in document
i'd love to have a feature where i can scroll through the pages of a multi-page PDF document AFTER i i've been in the import options and when i'm already placing stuff directly in the document with the placement cursor.
for expample using the arrows keys (similar to creating a grid when placing multiple images) to scroll to page 5 when the next page would actually be page 2. in addition to the little preview image next to the cursor this might speed up things a lot in some cases.
enlighten me if this is already possible. all i found…
