Calculated cells
It would be interesting to make it possibile to calculate some values inserted into a table, like Excel does.
We can't create calculate fields in existing tables with data inserted into.
This would be very useful when we have some price list in a cloumn, the user puts a quantyty order in a row and then to have the final price (multiplication) in another row.6 votes -

Import/export Share for Review comments
The new Share for Review feature is great. I've noticed though that once the file is moved, the comments are lost or no longer linked to the copy of the file. I have also seen that only one person has access to comments (although I have not tested this). This does not seem useful when you think about the workflow of an ad agency, where files are usually started by one person (say an art director), then passed along and finished by others (like a designer or studio artist). If comments can't be passed along with the document, it disrupts…

Adjust colours directly in the gradient panel
In InDesign, I'd like the option to edit colours from directly in the gradient panel, as in Illustrator (double click to access colour slider)
Having this feature added would greatly improve workflow - at the moment, I have to add colours to a swatch panel then drag them onto my gradient slider which becomes a very tedious process when making micro-adjustments.

Improve hanging punctuation settings
Hanging punctuation can improve the typesetting. But sometimes it creates undesired effects. For instance hanging bullets look terrible. On the contrary, some characters are missing (see https://indesign.uservoice.com/forums/601021-adobe-indesign-feature-requests/suggestions/37832143-add-hanging-punctuation-for-chevrons)
Please add the option to modify the list of hanging characters and let users define their own value of this effect.
Affinity Publisher is a good example (see attached screenshot): users can define hanging punctuation value in % for any glyph, even for letters, this is very useful for headlines.
And please make the setting part of the Paragraph Style as recommended here: https://indesign.uservoice.com/forums/601021-adobe-indesign-feature-requests/suggestions/37880509-remove-story-panel-make-optical-alignment-a-parag – the Story panel does not make sense.

index
Right now the cross-referenc markers in the index cannot be modified. They are set to e.g. see or see also. They cannot be switched easily to another language. So everytime a document is translated those cross-reference markers need to be translated manually in the document (find & replace) which means that everytime the Index is updated or the document is translated again the markers again have to be translated.

Can we get text to go along with the video tutorials?
Videos can be useful, but we can read text MUCH faster than listening to a video. And we can easily refer to text where we can't in a video.
Please just supply the same learning in text form as well.

Auto save every change to Creative Cloud and Dropbox
There really needs to be an auto save like you find in Office 365 & Google Docs. I know it has a background auto recovery but I don't trust that. It would make everything easier if every action was auto saved via cloud to the original file. Of course, still keep the back up recovery save feature.

Extract/Save Individual Pages in an Indesign Document as a Separate InDesign File
Please please please consider making a feature where you can extract pages/spreads in an InDesign document as a separate InDesign file. I work in Proposals for a Civil Engineering firm and our proposals are generally 100+ pages with a lot of resumes and project pages. After each proposal is complete we have to go in and save every resume in each person's resume folder and every project page in its respective folder. It takes such a long time to create a new indesign document for each resume and project and copy/paste it over and then save in a folder. It…

Improve handling of long footnotes
Handling of long footnotes could be improved in at least three ways:
- Sometimes a footnote absolutely cannot start on the same page as its reference either because the given footnote follows so closely behind a very long footnote (or a dense cluster of shorter footnotes). Presently, InDesign simply stops setting text at that point, as it would when a hits a word it cannot fit into any subsequent frame in the story. Ideally such footnotes would be not only be permitted but be custom-labelable—e.g. “(from p. 17)”—but for now simply permitting such footnotes, elegantly or not, would be a far…

Batch Export indb
I would need to have the ability to batch export a folder of books to pdf. The community scripts are not enough—there are features missing.
Also batch export would have to have
– auto update links in documents,
– auto closing and saving (otherwise page numbers are wrong in shared documents).2 votes -
Mywifiext
MyWifiext is an official online address for setting up and configuring a Netgear Wi-Fi range extender. Also, it is one of the easiest and simplest ways to setup the range extender. Furthermore, Mywifiext allows the user to update the extender’s settings, configure, and install the range extender, among other things. Therefore, the users looking for ways to accomplish the Netgear Extender setup procedure should visit the official website, i.e., “Mywifiext.”

"Buttons and Forms" panel desperately needs the ability to "add an image" form field
It's imperative to add to the "Buttons and Forms" panel the ability to "add an image" form field. Primarily due to ADA compliancy regarding logical reading order and layering order. Adding an image form field in Acrobat creates a nightmare of reorganizing tags. It's cumbersome and far from efficient. Plus any future edits to the InDesign file, all of the preceding must be recreated each and every time. This is a must needed feature for interactive form filling PDFs that adhere to Accessibility standards.
