RTL support in Adobe Composer (not Adobe World-Ready Composer)
Adobe's Ready World Composer is designed to provide a solution for RTL languages, such as Hebrew and Arabic. But lots of InDesign features don't work at all. (OpenType by Frame, Flush Space, Optical Margin Aligment and more ...)
Instead of fixing this composer, I suggest that the regular composer also will support RTL writing.481 votes -
Table of Contents
Can we have another ToC option: Layout > Update All Table of Contents where there is more than one in a document.
Where there is more than one ToC they have to be updated individually every time. (I have one document with four ToC's)

Nav bar in Publish Online interface
Can Adobe give designers control over the Nav Bar and not keep messing with the Publish Online interface. They've recently made the Nav Bar thicker, which has now messed up all the web apps I've sold to clients

Publish Online Nav Bar - can this be adjustable on upload via dialogue box?
Adobe have just made the Nav Bar fatter - this instantly trashes the web apps my company have created and sold to clients, because it obscures part of the lower menu. If Adobe wish to fiddle with this, can they not put the control of the Nav Bar in the hands of the creators that provide their solution, and not keep messing with it, as they did earlier in the year by sticking a margin all the way round the document page within the Publish Online interface

Rotate - it needs an 'oscillate' or 'reverse' tick box
Absolutely love the animation within Publish Online, really allows me to get client engagement. BUT.... it's missing something very vital - when you set a rotation, it only goes one-way. It needs to be able to reverse at the end of the rotation - so to rotate back to home position again. I strongly believe this would massively improve the animation options

Share for review - zoom in on document with multiple page sizes
I have a document with pages of different sizes, ranging from 4"x3" to 90"x90". When I share it to review and view it in the browser, I can't zoom in on the smaller pages. It's like the maximum zoom value is set by the width of the largest page in the document.
Please let us zoom in/out freely on the documents.

Enable link transfer of Publish Online projects
It would be useful to be able to transfer a project with Publish Online link to another user, so that they can update and publish revised versions of the asset without having to create new links.

Text/Object Effects Preference Settings
I cannot find an option to do this, and Googling it results in no results.
I often find myself using the Effects options, especially Drop Shadow, on my text and arrows when creating user guides. I like to use very specific settings when doing so, and I like it to be consistent across the entirety of my manuals. However, I have to manually enter these settings in when creating new text boxes or objects, and I cannot find a way to make it so that my desired settings are saved for later use. Auto-fit column width in tables
Add a feature for tables such as that in Excel (Home > Format > AutoFit Column Width). The "at least" feature for row height is great, but we need something for the width too! A command that resizes the selected column(s) to fit the longest line of text in that column of the table. Bonus: Any leftover space in the table width could be distributed between all columns automatically, or in one chosen column.

Rounded Corner in Tables
Option to round corners in tables without making a thousand layers just like you can choose the inset options, fill, stroke, size, etc.

Packaging working file PSD's as well when packaging up files.
I often find that when opening up packaged files from others, I find myself wishing they had also included the layered PSD's for the images. These are not included if the InDesign file only uses flat jpeg versions. It would be amazing if when packaging up a file, it could also include the layered PSD

Date feature for interactive pdf
Currently I dont think there is an option to insert a 'date' feature - could this be added in future updates. As of now, it is only possible using Adobe Acrobat - create forms.

Keep range highlighted in pdf window so you don't have to highlight it by hand
When selecting a pdf preset, it opens the window to name the pdf, then opens the pdf window. In InDesign 5, you were able, at that pdf window, to just type the page number of the page you wanted to create a pdf of. The range option was already highlighted automatically. This was really easy and fast when creating multiple (especially 100 or more) pdfs of single pages of your document, for example: for a magazine or booklet that has to be sent to a printer. Content Placer Tool Place Into Existing Frame
The behaviour should be exactly the same when i place a document with the Place... option. Hold the alt key, the pointer shows two opening brackets to indicate the Paste into function and Done. Currently I cant place collected content into frames. I always have to click and drag new ones.

Preserve PDF export settings for document only
PDF export settings are actually preserved application wide. When exporting different documents InDesign remembers the settings and uses them for the next document. If you have to export only one page of one document you will export only one page of the next document (if that page exists).
InDesign should be able to store the export settings in the document if the user wishes to.9 votes
