Urgent support needed for .webp images in InDesign & Photoshop
With the latest MacOS update Safari is now allowing .webp images. As a design studio we do LOTS of moodboards, research docs etc. gathering 100s of images at a time. Now I realise half need to be manually resaved — and in Preview of all places because not only are they not supported in InDesign, but Photoshop either. Urgent help needed!!!! This is adding so much time to my day.

With the recent changes at Google this is now more important than ever. Export as .webp, please, Adobe, Please!!

Potential into adding this as an export feature on InDesign and other Adobe apps?
Much better to export an hours worth of work on InDesign working image by image on layers as oppose to file by file which would take so many hours...

I have over 600+ webp images I need to convert into png, so time consuming.

One of a growing list of frustrating things to deal with when using Adobe programmes. Sort this out, please. Urgently.

2 years later, Adobe haven't done anything about that critical issue as expected…

Preview on the Mac has saved me, too. But for large quantities of .webp files my workflow stalls to a crawl. If this file format is growing and here to stay, PLEASE support it in Photoshop & InDesign. Or convince google to abandon it. (they're actually pretty good at abandoning things)
