2. Publish Online - repeated issues and lack of certainty with platform

   Don't know if this is the right place, but Publish Online service is variable. Continued messing with the interface and uncertainty about what Adobe's going to do next means that I now will have to purchase Ajar In5 and also rent some server space to put my docs on because of the problems I've had with Publish Online interface and also comments from some of Adobe Community forum members that say it's foolhardy to rely on Adobe to continue supporting Publish Online because it's 'free'.
   Unfortunately, this means that rather than having Illustrator and Photoshop under my subscription, these will have to be dropped to save money, which I can then spend on In5 and server space. A great pity because I would have preferred the simplicity of using just adobe's online doc service - even if there was a charge - don't really want any more complexity because I'm running a business, time's money!

   Don't know if this is the right place, but Publish Online service is variable. 3. Duplicate/ copy-paste object inside same group

   When I duplicate (alt+drag) an item that’s within a layer, the duplicate will be pasted outside the group in the layer panel.

   What I expect to happen is the duplicate to be pasted directly above the original, within the same group. When multiple groups are selected I expect each layer to be pasted above their original item inside each group, or ask me I i’d like to place them above each other.

   At least give us the option how this behaves in the layer panel. It’s annoyingly time consuming to have to manually put them back into the group instead of them just being copied to the position within the group above the original, like photoshop does.

4. Text frame option

   Text frame option is in Object Menu right now. If the Text frame option is in text related groups like "Window>types & table" that would be helpful. Since when vertical alignment of text is required, we have to go to object menu and text frame option. Grouping all text related features would be fine

5. Folders in Pages Panel

   Folders in Pages Panel would be most excellent!! So multiple chapters/sections of long documents can be combined and closed up for quicker navigation.

6. "Use Typographer's Quotes" should be an option in Character and Paragraph styles

   "Use Typographer's Quotes" should be an option in Character and Paragraph styles.
   I generally use typographer's quotes. But when I'm typing in feet, inches, etc. I want the associated sign to be straight, e.g., 5' and 6". I should be able to make a style to do this. (Rather than going to (Type --> insert special character --> quotation marks) every time I want to do this.

7. I want to lock the palettes so I don't dislodge them accidentally

   I have a tremor in my hands and dislodge my palettes when I try to open them. They are so sensitive! My tremor doesn't impact my work in any other way but this. It is frustrating and embarrassing when I am teaching InDesign to others. I have customized my workspace and I would like to "lock" it so I can't accidentally dislodge palettes. Of course I would still need to open and close and expand them as needed.

8. Microsoft Publisher to InDesign

   We often are provided with Microsoft Publisher files to work with from our customers and need to work on these within InDesign. As we are running on MAC we can't open them. Would be great if InDesign had a built in method of reading .pub files.

9. Adjust image frame to pure white background

   I do a lot of shoes catalogues, where white background is used on images.
   It would be nice to have a tool that detects pure with and adjust the frame to that area.

   I do have clipping paths on the image, but it crops also the natural shadow.

   Something like the PS magic wand, where you can select the offset of the frame.

   ID will detect all the exterior pure white and adjust a frame around it with an offset of Xmm.

10. WEBP - Please add an export option in InDesign to save as <FILENAME>.webp

    Please add an export option save as webp.

    Hello, I do a lot of my flyers and promotions in InDesign and have been exporting them as PNG for years. So instead of me saving the file as PNG then opening the file in Photoshop and exporting as webp, having an export webp feature in Indesign would a better streamline workflow.

    I've read that webp is a better solution for web graphics Webp in 75% lossy format is a better looking and compressed file than PNG it will save loading times on my website and eblasts.

    Please add an export option save as webp.

11. Support headlines in separate column (sideheads)

    It's a pretty common layout to have headline paragraphs in a separate column and their corresponding body paragraphs to the right. (See attached images for examples.) This layout is currently only supported by creating tables, but this isn't semantically correct for the content.

    It would be great if InDesign supported assigning paragraph styles to specific columns, e.g. H1 spans columns 1-3, H2 is column 1, body copy spans columns 2-3.

13. Add ability to export and import styles

    It would be quite useful to be able to export and import styles in the same way that it's possible to do this to document colours. This would add a more consistent feel to the program, and make it easier to use. It would also eliminate having to send documents to get styles to someone else, saving a lot of time packaging, zipping, etc.

15. Option to minimise titlebar (as implemented in Bridge)

    I recently noticed that in Bridge the titlebar is scaled down 50%.
    It would be good if this would be implemented in InDesign (and Illustrator and Photoshop) too.
    Being it an option in the preferences > user interface scaling would be even more practical and logical.

16. Hebrew Help files still uses the term Master instead of Parent

    Under "Work with parent pages" in Hebrew Help for InDesign, while there is a note explaining the change in the term Master page to Parent page, not only it wasn't fixed in the text, the word Master is written in Hebrew letters. This is absurd.
    The correct term in Hebrew is
    דף-אב
    which in fact means Parent-Page to begin with. It was always non-inclusive language. In the attached screenshot the words Master in Hebrew are marked.

17. Allow more customization in Export Tagging

    I love that InDesign can convert my paragraph/character styles into CSS for me when exporting to epub or xml. But it would be really handy if I could customize what CSS gets exported.

    For example, I might have a "ChapterNumber" style and a "ChapterTitle" style in an 8.5x11 book. In InDesign I might set ChapterNumber to have a space below of 1 inch. This looks great in an 8.5x11 print book, but when the book is converted to an epub, the spacing gets converted from "1 inch" to a very high margin spacing in the CSS. Consequently I have to make lots of manual changes to the CSS.

    It would be very convenient if instead I could go into ChapterNumber's Export Tagging settings and set that the margin-bottom will always be 2em or something like that.

    I can already see what the CSS is going to be in the "Export Details" section of Export Tagging. It would be great if I could change that.

18. Change gutter color

    Please let us change the color of the gutter guides. The Cyan hurts my eyes and is annoying in layout. I can find options to change everything else but the color of the gutter guides.

19. Autoplay Media Workaround

    My video is set to play on page load and repeat. This works well in Chrome on both desktop and mobile. However, the autoplay option is off by default in Safari. I would like to see some way to embed my video. In this case, I am only utilizing this as a background element to add dynamics. Allow me to add animation or allow me to embed MP4 that will autoplay on all devices. Pretty please?

20. Allow people Tagged in comments to filter by comments they are tagged in.

    We have multiple reviewers in a share for review document. When we tag them in a comment they get an email that they have been tagged. However, there is no means for them to filter comments by items they are tagged in. Sure, they can filter by reviewer, but we should also have 'filter by user tagged' OR a button that says 'show me items I am tagged in' or simply a section 'Person tagged' with a button 'Me' etc. This is valuable as it saves clients time having to scroll through comments not relevant to them and will give them a stronger impression of the Share for Review feature.
