Direct selection tool selects everything - in 90 percent of the cases is unusable
The direct selection tool in inDesign and Illustrator is almost unusable due to it is selecting everything it touches.
It would be much better to have an option to select the points of the currently active object. I have lots of stacked objects, I want to work with one of the objects, but as soon as I draw a rectangle over the desired points, EVERYTHING is selected everywhere. This makes the tool almost unusable, because it is unable to make a normal selection, it's too greedy.
At least in Illustrator there is a thing "isolation mode" but in inDesign the other objects has to be hidden in order to work with a certain object. Of course, hiding other objects makes the editing again unusable, since there is no feedback on what happens when the edited object alters the other objects.
All other software is able to make a normal direct selection tool, but the Adobe's direct selection tool was always unusable, annoying and a pain.
