Ability to scroll pages even in the export pdf menu.
In previous versions was possible to scroll in pages tab even when the PDF export dialog window was open, that was great to scroll in content and select all pages I needed to preview printed.
Not sure, if it wasn't just bug before but I am missing it now.

Add a Search field to the Scripts panel!
I have A LOT of scripts. I try to organize them by folders, but I still waste time looking for the right script. A SEARCH field, like in the Fonts panel, would be VERY much appreciated. Thanks!

A menu option for "Recent Templates"
Opened documents only appear in the Recent File list if they are opened "as usual" or "as original". However, templates (and files opened "as copy") do not make it into this list. This means that when working with templates, you have to keep browsing to the right folder – per file first to retrieve the template, then to the folder where you want to save the copy.
I don't think it's correct to add "copy" files to the Recent Documents list as it may lead to additional confusion. A new menu option "Recent Templates" would solve it all – especially…

Define epub:type in object style
Epub:type is available in Object Export Options, but can only be set on individual objects, not in Object Styles. Since some epub:types need to be used repeatedly (like "chapter"), it would be really useful to set them in object styles.

Turn off 'missing fonts' alert
A setting (with no docs open) that says "don't alert me to missing fonts" when I open a doc. It would be just like the "don't ask me about missing links" setting - which we like in the studio. Because sometimes we need to check lots of docs for something (could be a house style thing, a find-replace thing, a colour check thing etc) but don't want to be 'font-alerted' at this stage. The warning seems too pedantic when we're nowhere near final production stages...

GREP code table
Make a GREP code for table in Find/Change box dialogue
70 votesHi All,
Can you explain how this would be used, is the end goal to find a some stuff restricting the search to Tables, or is it something else. It would really help if you can share how you plan to use this new GREP code for tables.
Thanks

Stop Giving a Fill Color When Using the Line Tool.
My OCD makes me switch the fill color (when using the line tool) to No Color. It would be great if there was no fill color when using the line tool.

Create a new document based on selected pages of an existing indesign document.
I would like to be able to select pages within an existing InDesign document and create a new document using those pages, much like you can with layers in photoshop.
In photoshop when you select 'duplicate layer(s)' you have the option of duplicating them into different documents, including a new one. When I am designing a business card for a client, for example, I present multiple options. I will make all of the options in one document as separate pages. When they choose one I would like to be able to select the specific pages and duplicate them straight to…

Improve the tabs window interface
No matter what size your text is or how much Iyou zoom in, when you open the tabs window to set or modify tabs, the window is WAY too small, and the little arrows to adjust the tabs WAY too fussy. It's almost impossible to grab the existing tab to move it over or even select it, and you end up creating 4 or 5 new tabs because you're clicking on the ruler trying to select an existing tab. I wait for this to improve with every update. Going in to my 25th year as a graphic designer, and I…

How to package a single page.
It's really inconvenient that I can't package a single page. I have to duplicate and delete the rest of page before I sent others.

Custom Tagging/Grouping Filter for Fonts
I'm posting this in InDesign, but the implementation may be easier as a Cloud feature so that it would be viable through all the Adobe programs that heavily use font (Photoshop/Illustrator/InCopy/etc.)
I'd love the ability to add custom tags to my fonts that are personalized to my individual account, and the subsequent ability to filter fonts by my tags.
Example: I might tag several fonts that I purchased a license for only a specific client under their name (PrivateCo). I might also tag several different fonts I received from a client to do a marketing campaign for under their name…

Paste in Place is the default Paste option
I think that it would be more useful if the default option for the paste command were Paste in Place. It is frustrating to me that when copy pasting objects, particularly from one page to the other, I have to go through an extra step to "paste special" when there is nothing special about it... Same thing with photoshop...

Section Styles
Often we need to apply styling, such as a shaded background, to not just an individual paragraph, but to a SECTION which is composed of multiple paragraphs.
There is no easy way to do this via style sheets. Duplicating all the individual paragraph styles again and adding the 'shaded' properties to each one is way too tedious and fussy.
It would be nice if we could have SECTION STYLES. This would function like a 'wrapper' encompassing multiple paragraphs. That way we could select a passage of text and easily apply things like shading, borders, and indents to it. See attached…

Remove the maximum cell height in tables
I often use tables in more technical posters as a frame for graphics with caption.
I experienced that a cell height of about 220 mm is the maximum for tables.
If you have larger graphics this is not enough.7 votes -
Please implement an option/script for the user to make the choice to turn backgroundprinting on or off..
A button or checkbox to turn of the backgroundtask would be useful (like the famous script: "controlBackgroundExport.jsx" by Marijan Tomba.
There are certain export/printjobs I want to see/follow in a processbar, even if that means that I am not able to work for that time.

Collaborative, Syncing, Files
Add collaborative qualities to files so multiple people can edit at the same time and sync to update. This is VITAL for team work and educational work. Group work and teams will never go away.
34 votesThanks for making this request. In order to understand the use-case more better I have a few questions:
1. Whats the role of the different people working collaboratively on the same file. Are they always only designers or are other personas also involved.
2. What are the different kind of files (brochures, books, magazines etc) for which this is required.
3. Where is the file on which these different users need to work together on be placed. Should this be on a cloud server, or a shared server.
4. How do you workaround this need today? What are the most important problems with the current workaround? -
the anchor needs to work on the same line.
the anchor marker needs to work on the same line.
the anchor marker does not wrap on the same line.

Publish Online Dashboard access via Adobe Account
It would be nice if you could access the Publish Online Dashboard via your Adobe Account online. Currently, you have to open InDesign and then navigate to the dashboard that way, but if you are already in an internet browser and logged into your Adobe Account, there should be a way to get to the dashboard.

Add a "View" option "a spread as single pages"
My idea is to create an option in the VIEW panel, to see your spread as single pages, where they are broken apart and still on the left or right, but separated... Here's why...
Amazon is becoming one of the largest online stores around. Their "create space" content uploader is requiring an interior bleed on your books. So if anyone wants to create a facing page spread in indesign, they will need to separate the pages into single pages so that they can work on making sure the graphics cover the bleed area as well as export properly since both…
