1. Add "dfont" font check to Preflight profile

   Hi,

   Please consider adding a "dfont" (OS X system font) font check to the preflight panel. These fonts will not work on Windows machines.

2. Add a Search / Filter field to the Links tab

   Finda out wether a certain file is used, is manual labour in InDesign.
   What, if the Links Tab had a search/filter field (like in After Effects' timeline and project panels).

   Find by name, filter by kind.

7. text box handles: right side

   Please put a handle on the righthand side of text boxes that is not hidden by either the "click to edit corners" yellow box or the text-thread button when the text box is vertically challenged, as it were. Sometimes I want a text box to maintain a specific height but need to pull it wider to the right. If the text box is tall enough, the righthand pull handle is easily accessible, but if the text box is short, there' no way to pull the box wider to the right without either making it taller or using one of the corner handles, which run the risk of changing the vertical dimension along with the horizontal dimension.

8. Jesus! I pay a frickin' fortune for this software, but I can only have support for Arabic if I have an African release of InDesign.

11. Publish Online iPhone view Disappear the URL Search Bar

    When we publish a document online, the chances are it will be 16:9 or a double page spread. Many client may wish to view this on a device such as iPad or iPhone.

    We have found that when we try to do this and turn the device (iPhone, Safari) to landscape mode, the URL search field bar can appear and NOT disappear again. This takes a lot of screen space and ruins the effect and view of the page.

    Is there a solution to this?

12. Table numbering and easier cross-reference/text anchor setup in tables

    It would be nice to be able to automatically number a specific row by just pressing a button, instead of using the "End Nested Style Here" command and copying/pasting in the following rows. It would also be nice if the corresponding column would read the number and be able to set up a text anchor for a paragraph number cross-reference.

13. Center based on chosen Key Points

    The ability to align object to a key object is very useful, but it would be great if users could specify two key points and center a new object between them. For example, when you want an object to be centered between an existing object and the edge of a page, being able to say "Center this object between this point and this point".

14. I'd like a light gray pasteboard with a dark grey theme

    I'd like the option of a light gray pasteboard and a dark gray theme. I like the dark gray option, but I do not like the white pasteboard.

15. More visible frame edges

    Frame edges are too thin. Too hard to see. Please consider teachers teaching your product in class on a projector.

    Even if there was a setting in Preferences for heavier frame edges.

16. Make Track Changes visible in Layout view for InCopy

    Add the ability to see track changes in Layout view for InCopy. It is incredibly annoying for editors to have to switch views constantly to review eidts and then see the layout.

17. Search in a text selection won't show

    It's really annoying that I select some text and I want to Find/Replace something in that selected text and I can't do that within the Find/Replace window. Is this a bug or is there another reason why I can't do this?

18. Use data merge field to export filename

    I have created 3 different invitations with a personalized company name on it, coming from excel with data merge. And when I want to export it as .jpg, it is not possible to export : invitationVIP<<company>>.jpg

    now I have a list of "numbers" which i have to browse on which company I have to send my vip voucher to, instead of using the explorer search to find the company name that I need.

    Conclusion : I need a way to export JPG (and maybe PDF) files using the data merge feature.

19. Document Time Tracker

    This would be a feature to see the dates / time spent on a document. It could be accessed in the documents info panel (attached). This feature would be useful for client invoicing and project managing especially in advertising where time is money.

20. Slug capabilities

    When we set up a new indesign document for an ad or for a brochure, we incorporate slugs at the top and the bottom for tracking specs, revisions, and proofing. Our bottom slug has an internal proofing checklist that we don't like the client to see when we output for print or PDF. Before we can output we have to go into the document set up box and remove the slug at the bottom. Then we have to turn it back on when we get a revision. It would be extremely helpful if you could add slugs to the PDF and Print dialogue box's Marks and Bleed section. Here I envision the ability to turn on or off all slugs or a specific slug.

    Last issue. When we do have bleeds in our documents and we output a PDF or print without bleeds but have crop marks on, a bleed does show up in the slug but not on the sides without a slug. It would be great if you could fix it where bleeds do not show up in slugs when they are not selected to print.
