   Hello All,

   We have fixed a number of stability issues with InDesign’s latest update. Please download the latest InDesign version.

   If you are unable to see the update yet, go to Creative Cloud application, click on the context menu on the top right and click on Check for App Updates.

4. InDesign, latest version. GREP: find period (.) character followed by endnote reference number. Should be (\.)(~U) but doesn't seem to work.

   Thanks for reporting the issue. As confirmed from you all, the crash issue is not happening with latest InDesign build. The only remaining issue is that of Grep not working when a period is followed by an endnote marker

   This issue is addressed with a new option "Honor Text Indents in addition to Text Wrap" in Preferences > Composition dialog. This option is ON for new docs created in ID2023 and needs to be turned ON for docs created in older versions of InDesign when opened in ID2023.

    There are many internal as well as external factors that can cause the InDesign application to crash/freeze/hang.

    A few workarounds are listed at https://helpx.adobe.com/in/indesign/kb/crash-on-launch.html.

    We would recommend you to upgrade to latest version as it is more robust.

    If you still face this issue even after updating, please submit the crash report to us. (Guidelines to submit crash are available at https://helpx.adobe.com/indesign/kb/submit-crash-reports.html)

    The spinning wheel is a reason I still use InDesign CS6. Most of the commands are instant in CS6, I choose a font = the change is immediately applied. In CC, I have to wait several seconds. I can't believe someone can actually do serious work in CC. On my Macbook Pro, I can see the spinning wheel constantly.
