An error occurred while saving the comment Filip Blazek commentedOn my machine, the spinning wheel appears immediately, there is no way to work in this version. Just switching to InDesign 2025 takes around 10 seconds. Screenshot of memory usage provided. The values do not change during spinning.

InDesign 20.0.0.95This is my tragic experience recorded, spinning wheel most of the time, almost any operation causes this 5 second delay. I simply cannot use this app for my daily work. The problem occurs even with empty documents!
As soon as I finish one project started in CC2025, I will uninstall this version.https://www.dropbox.com/s/f4a9lu8tqxhk59a/Spinning%20Wheel%202024-10-18%20v%C2%A015.36.42.mov?dl=0
An error occurred while saving the comment Filip Blazek commentedYes, this is the slowest version ever. Spinning wheel for a couple a second after each operation. This is absurd.

The fix of the issue is now available in the latest InDesign 2025(v20.0.1.032). We recommend you upgrade to the latest version for the fix.
If you are unable to see the update, go to the Creative Cloud application click on the context menu on the top right, and click on Check for App Updates.

An error occurred while saving the comment Filip Blazek commentedIt is related to accented characters. We live in the year 2024, Unicode is here for decades, the humans did reach Moon and Mars, but Adobe cannot handle "ó" in a file name. Funny.
Just rename your .joboption files with basic ASCII letters and it will work again. I hope you have backup of your files.
An error occurred while saving the comment Filip Blazek commentedWelcome in the year 1990! Deleting user files just because they contain "á" in file name is ridiculous. Have you ever heard of Unicode? I’ve been using the same files for more than a decade in various versions of InDesign. Why CC2025 does not support it?
Workaround to this bug: rename all .joboption files and only use basic ASCII characters.
An error occurred while saving the comment Filip Blazek commentedIt looks like it keeps .joboption files with ASCII only characters. Files containing accented characters, even “á”, gets deleted everytime CS2025 is installed.

An error occurred while saving the comment Filip Blazek commentedThis is a very old and persistent bug, it is there since custom page size was introduced. You can use Page Tool as a workaround, you can change the orientation there. I did report the bug fifteen years ago or so.

We would require more information on this.
Is this happening with all files or some specific files?
Are only page numbers getting relocated or other elements as well?
Is this happening with only parent page objects or with objects on normal pages as well?
An screenshot of indd and idml would also help.
Please share your OS version.
An error occurred while saving the comment Filip Blazek commentedBug submited in the prerelease website as ID-4256543.
An error occurred while saving the comment Filip Blazek commentedHi, I already provided Pradeep Verma the files and images. And I will soon log a bug in the prerelease forum. I think the bug is either related to inheriting page numbers from one master to other masters and/or to fact, I use Align Away From Spine justifications. Only page numbers on pages using inherited master are affected. Just open the attached IDML and you will see the page numbers on left pages jump randomly incl. some guidelines.

We will need more info on this, is this happening with all documents or with some specfic documents.
Does this happen after creating or opening documents or both?
What are the steps you have performed which are not there in History?

Hello Christian,
Thanks for your post. We will review your request.
A simple thing that you could do after each update is to simply press the Keyboard Shortcut 'I' to make the Eyedropper Tool the frontmost (bringing it above Color Theme tool).
That will also make it remain the default from thereon and will cease to be an annoyance to you.
Hope this is helpful.
An error occurred while saving the comment Filip Blazek commentedCould we please somehow disable the Color Theme Tool? I am a professional designer, not a child from a kindergarten, could I make the Eyedropper Tool the default one forever please? It is very annoying to switch it back again and again and again.

We would need more info on when you are using shift + page up/down key and what is the expectation. Are you using these when in Presentation mode?
Using page up/down key, does not solve the purpose?

Thank you for trying out the MathML feature in InDesign! The math objects created using this feature are placed as SVGs, and hence they exclusively support RGB colours. If you try to apply a non RGB colour (CMYK/LAB/HSV-based), then by design it is converted to RGB before it is applied to the math object. This conversion is designed to enable users to continue using document colours that are not RGB-based for the math object SVGs.

An error occurred while saving the comment Filip Blazek commentedThis is a problem I reported maybe 15 or even 18 years ago. I am afraid this bug will never be corrected. I'm sure I'll switch to Publisher before this bug is fixed.

I can confirm, total slowdown of InDesign occurs only for documents with Document fonts folder. If I delete the folder, the document does not have fonts, but the behavior of the app is quite smooth. Once I restore the Document fonts folder, working in InDesign is impossible.
