We're happy to announce that the fix for this issue is now available in the latest update of InDesign - version 17.2 that is available from Creative Cloud Desktop application.
Please update to this latest InDesign version to get the fix.

Sometimes colored areas appear and disappear automatically on the screen that have nothing to do with the job. I attach photos examples -

We have recently started development work on Convert PDF to INDD. Going forward, we will keep adding more functionality and refining it.
The feature is available as a Beta feature in InDesign 19.5 Beta version, available via the CCD app.
Note: For now, it is available only when InDesign's install language is English (North America or International).
Please provide us feedback on this Beta feature. Looking forward to hearing your feedback.

Fix for this issue is available in the latest InDesign version - InDesign 2023. The fix should solve most of the issues that were seen earlier.
A new option "Honor Text Indents in addition to Text Wrap" is introduced in Preferences > Composition dialog. It is turned ON by default for new documents created in ID2023. For documents created in previous InDesign versions, this option is turned off by default - which can be turned ON to see the improved behavior.

The issue has also been fixed in the latest update of InDesign 2020 (ver. 15.1.3).

Indesign 15.1.2By clicking in any field (font size, line spacing, mask for inserting texts in the index etc.) the cursor is no longer displayed after updating Indesign to version 15.1.2
