    Hi Adriank,
you could work around the issue and use a spread with several pages ( up to 10 ! ) where each of the pages are positioned individually on the spread using the Page Tool. That could be done best with NON-facing-pages documents.

    Kasyan Servetski discovered a workaround:
Lock all items in your document. Unlock them after adding or removing pages or moving pages around.
FWIW: Locking layers does not count.

Two very simple ExtendScript-scripts, one for locking all items, one for unlocking all items:

Did not test it, but that would not be a huge licensing error only.
You may risk that a slightly different version of the font is used.
And that could mean: Different glyphs, different baseline, different kerning etc.pp.

In the end a different composition of text!

I wonder how we can test that bug. Hm. Ok. Let's do that with Adobe's own font Source Sans Pro.
There are several versions on Git-Hub that are so different that a substitution with an activated version from Adobe Fonts should be immediately visible if one is editing text.

Hm. That said, could be that even without editing text this will be visible, if there are different values for baseline in the EM box of the font.

See into this thread at Adobe InDesign Forum where exactly that happened:

InDesign shifts text inside textboxes and data inside tables

    Hi,
Since for most of issue the issue no longer occurs, or is resolved after cleaning InDesign cache and preferences, we are closing the issue

    Thanks

    Hallo Rainer,

    Absolutely right. This is working!
You even get the right Import Options for placing PhotoShop files.

    Hi together,
also see this thread at Adobe InDesign Forum:

InDesign 2020 Middle Eastern, Arabic language causes revered numbers order

    https://community.adobe.com/t5/indesign/indesign-2020-middle-eastern-arabic-language-causes-revered-numbers-order/td-p/10845101

I assume this is a bug in the ME version of InDesign 2020.
Cannot see that with sample text in my German version where I created "faked" Arabic text using Arabic placeholder text and typed in or copied in the expression 9/1/2020. In both cases it did not reverse.

My German InDesign test file is available from my Dropbox account:

    Hi Ravi,
just tested again today with version 15.0.1.209, German InDesign on German Windows 10.
Still can see the issue. With a table that should split into 2 columns.

More details at the Adobe InDesign Forum. Also a link with all my test files zipped from my Dropbox.

    Hi Ulf,
it would be great if you could send Ravi Kiran a sample document where the fix is not working.
Wild guess: Maybe it's because of the XML tags in your layout?

    Hi Ravi,
there is one report that the fix in 15.0.1.208 will not help in one case. See:
    https://community.adobe.com/t5/indesign/probleme-im-id-2020-mit-spaltenspanne/m-p/10768197#M166109

I cannot tell, hope that the OP, Ulf-Ger, is reporting more details.
I suggested to do "Recompose All Stories".

    Hi Laura,
unfortunately attaching a zip-file is not allowed.
However you could work around this and add something like .txt to the zip file's name.
Then you are able to attach the file.

Downloading is no issue. Unpackaging can be done without issue after renaming the file to .zip.
