Regards,
InDesign TeamAn error occurred while saving the comment Gareth Lind commentedI have kept CC 2018 on my system because there are always issues. When I work in 2018 and select the Type Tool using "T", I can instantaneously start formatting. Whereas, using CC 2019, there is a significant delay, causing me to move the text box (since I am still haven't been switched from the Selection Tool) rather than selecting the text to format. It's a simple matter of lag time, as if the new text preview options are weighing down the system (that's a guess). I may rever to 2018 for most work until this is fixed. Very irritating, and it erodes time away from what used to be streamlined.

An error occurred while saving the comment Gareth Lind commentedI have the same issue. Was about to report this. When I restart ID, it works, but this version seems just as buggy as the last.

Adobe InDesign teamAn error occurred while saving the comment Gareth Lind commentedI think it's the same issue, just phrased differently. When you copy any text box with insets or other settings in InDesign (2017 or 18) and paste it into a different file in InDesign 2018, the text box settings are reset to their default -- that is, no insets.
This is easy to reproduce. I asked a designer friend to try it and the same thing happened. Try it.
An error occurred while saving the comment Gareth Lind commentedText frame options are not copied over from one InDesign 2018 document to another. All options are removed, and I need to re-input them all (inset spacing, baseline options, etc.). This is incredibly frustrating, as I often copy assets from one document to another. There was no problem with this in InDesign 2017. It is clearly a bug.
Gareth Lind supported this idea ·An error occurred while saving the comment Gareth Lind commentedAnother thing that is stripped is the Baseline Options from Text Frame Options. It always goes to default "Ascent" when in both the file it is coming from and the file it is going to is set at my standard, "Cap Height." Very frustrating, as I have to reset manually every time. ID 2017 didn't do this. Will revert for this reason.
An error occurred while saving the comment Gareth Lind commentedI have the same problem. Just copied a text box from one file to another. I have "preserve formatting" selected for the clipboard preferences, but the text box insets are stripped when placed.

Hello All,
Kindly provide more information about this ask. How do you plan to use the Action Panel in InDesign? Do you want it to work exactly like that in Photoshop? What are the most important actions/operations that you want to record?
Thanks

I was just about to request this feature. I'm creating more and more simple animated GIFs. I export the individual pages as JPGs from ID and then merge into a timeline in Photoshop. This is cumbersome – it would be great to be able to export and set page fades and other affects, much as we do with interactive PDFs. It strikes me as something that wouldn't be hard to incorporate into the existing code.
