Recursive packaging
That's a old problem for me : I link Illustrator / Photoshop files in Indesign, and these files can also have various links to various files. When I do a "package" in Indesign, it copies the links but not the links of links, and that often cause problems.
Can you make all the softwares capable of recursively package sub-links, and also check for doubles (because various links sometimes have links to the same sub-files).1 vote -

InDesign would benefit from an option that allows Apply Next Style (or a Paragraph Style setting) to automatically detect the final paragraph in a contiguous sequence and then apply an alternate “last paragraph” style. This is especially useful for designs where a repeated list uses a separator — for example, in a “Materials and Tools” box where each item has a rule below, but the final item should appear without the rule.
At present, this requires manually applying a separate “last item” style to the final paragraph every time such a box is created. Giving InDesign the ability to recognise the final paragraph and switch to a defined alternate style would greatly reduce manual intervention, avoid errors in long documents, and streamline book production workflows.

Indesign Layers in Illustrator
I have a InDesign files that i export in PDF files, when i open this PDF files in Adobe Acrobat i have all my layers available
But when i open it in Illustrator, i lost all my layers
it's very important for me to work with InDesign and Illustrator and keep layers between those 2 software1 vote -

Anchored elements missing in PDF when anchor is on a different page and in a table
- InDesign 21.0.1
- Create a table and set an anchor. The anchored object is a text box. Place the text box and the table on different pages. Export the document as a PDF.
- The anchored text box appears in the PDF.
- The anchored text box will not appear in the PDF. (It will appear only when both are on the same page or the anchor is in a textbox.)

Shadows not displaying correctly on InDesign 21.0.1
We noticed some shadows are bugging with InDesign 21.0.1.
Steps to reproduce the issue:
- Open an InDesign 20.5 document. Create an object with a shadow. Close. Open the same document in InDesign 21.0.1. Check if the shadow is displaying correctly.

Lots of problems with fonts on InDesign (21.0.1)
InDesign is not recognizing the fonts we previously used in version 20.5. When opening documents in version 21.0.1, InDesign prompts us to replace the fonts, even though those fonts are already installed on our computers.
Additionally, when copying and pasting text from a template created in InDesign 20.5 into a new InDesign 21.0.1 document, the pasted text becomes unreadable.
Steps to reproduce:
Open a document created in InDesign 20.5 and add some text. Then open the same document in InDesign 21.0.1. Create a new text frame, copy the text from the original frame, and paste it into the new one.
Expected result:
InDesign 21.1 should not prompt to replace fonts that are already installed.
Copying and pasting text should preserve the original characters without corrupting them or displaying random symbols or numbers.

Font Selector Broken
When I select a font in indesign 2024 (select drop down, start to type name of font "script", select font ) it works fine
When I attempt the same in indesign 2026 (select drop down, start to type name of font "script", system shows me fonts beginning with the second or third letter I typed, e.g. "Cricket")
This is broken. (no font filters selected, win 10, over 3000 fonts installed...)1 vote -
book page numbering got error
The option "continue on next odd page" not function. The page number still continue from previous page which is in even number.

Dark Selection and Direct Selection tool icons
In the Dark and Medium appearance color theme, the Selection Tool and Direct Selection Tool are darker than the rest of the tool icons.
This is version 21.0.1 running on macOS Sequoia 15.7.2

text box resizing causes document to shift in window
I have an issue now that has never come up before I updated to 20.5.1. When I try to resize a text box or image box, the document shifts down and the content box is shifted up. The video shows it better. I then discovered that if I create a new text box, delete it, then create another new text box and delete that one, the issue goes away. I closed and re-opened the document, and the issue was still gone. Have not had it happen enough to know if it will recur at a later time.

Bug Report: “Find/Change” Story Option Not Appearing
Hi Adobe Support Team,
I would like to report a bug in Adobe InDesign. When using the Find/Change command, even though I select Story in the selection area, the Story option does not appear in the Find section.
Currently, the only workaround I’ve found is to close and reopen InDesign, but the issue recurs every time. I can provide a screenshot to illustrate the problem if needed.
Please let me know how I can assist in resolving this issue.

Conversion Process
I have ran into a bug twice now where InDesign is forcing me to run a conversion on my indd files and when it does it inserts a '/' symbol in a paragraph. Unfortunately this was not apparent and the typo went into 145 paperback copies.

Interactive contextual menu no longer works properly
Since the latest version 21.0.1, the option enabling the creation of an hyperlink in Interactive menu has disappeared y/or no longer works properly.

InDesign 2026 (v 21.01) Won't lock "Constrain Proportions"
When resizing an object, Indesign 2026 won't retain the selection 'Constrain proportions for width and height' when clicked from the properties window.

share for review completely broken in ID and online
Share for review is completely useless and does not work in the latest release on osX Tahoe. I can see the comments from clients listed in the panel, however they are not marked in the document and when clicked on them it does not show you where. So i have to open the comments in a browser (and its buggy even there!!!) and locate the reviews manuall.y. Also, when i update documents (also in AI), i always get a red popup saying that the file update has failed (although it does not fail and the changes are updated). Anyway, a horribly broken feature right now and im losing my mind over it.

PDF conversion
Still does not work with a simple remittance envelope we have - see attached screenshot. After the conversion, the entire document is black and all the fonts are missing. After every update of InDesign we try again and get the same results.

Display/performance issues
