1. switching between documents in just upgraded (16.0.1) takes around one minute

   both documents are similar, 20 pages, Indesign has 1GB RAM occupied.

2. FindChangeByList not working

   1 The script stopped working. Doesn’t do anything.

   2 Please let the updater copy the FindChangeList.txt from the previous version. In most cases it’s part of a workflow that breaks with each update.

3. Command-N for "New Folder" within "Save" dialogue box doesn't work

   This is a bug – or at least, it doesn't adhere to the Mac standard for commands for "new folder." Such basic commands seem to fall by the wayside for flashy new features – but, why? It impedes workflow.

   It hasn't worked for a number of versions.

5. ZWJ removed from text variable or TOC "Title"

   Currently using InDesign CC 2021 [ same issue in previous version/s]

   I am working on a SINHALA document and has running headers based on paragraph styles. The ZWJ in the "p-style text" gets omitted in the running header output:
   ක්‍රියා -> ක්රියා

   The same issue occurs when "ක්‍රියා" is placed TOC" Title block outputs "ක්රියා"

6. Submit form

   Hi, I don't know if this is a bug with InDesign or Acrobat, but when exporting an Interactive PDF, the "Submit Form" button crashes InDesign. The button appears set up correctly. It's supposed to email the results of the form to an email address, but instead it crashes Adobe Acrobat..

7. adobe fonts not syncing properly with typekit

   Having issue with fonts syncing with cloud version of fonts. I’ve downloaded the Oswald font but only 2 fonts show up as cloud version and the other version all show up as TrueType fonts and I don’t even have the font installed?

8. Bugs avec Windows 10 Pro

   De nombreux bugs d'utilisation des logiciels Adobe avec Windows 10 Pro (In Design / Illustrator et Photoshop).
   Dans InDesign : les fonds perdus sont ajoutés au PDF lorsqu'ils ne sont pas cochés dans les options d'export du PDF, ce n'est pas normal.
   Création de Nouveau document : les options de nouveau document ne répondent pas (dans l'interface de démarrage du logiciel et dans le logiciel par le menu), même constat dans Illustrator.
   La fenêtre "Format" n'apparaît pas toujours lorsque l'on veut l'afficher par Fichier > Format de documents... Je suis obligée de cliquer sur "Echap", car le logiciel ne répond plus. Très gênant de ne pas pouvoir modifier les formats.
   Merci de trouver des solutions à tous ces bugs présents dans la suite Adobe pour ceux et celles qui comme moi, utilisent Winsdows 10 Pro pour travailler.

9. Data Mergin

   InDesign 16.0.2

   Create Merge Document / Options/ Remove Blank Lines from Empty Field

   I have 2 Records in the same page, when I create the merged document with the specs above, InDesign removes the blank lines from one record but not the other one.

10. epub preview - crops page view

    the ePub Previewer crops the page i am viewing in the preview, so i cannot see the entire page. please fix this issue as it makes it very difficult to preview my interactive elements without having to export the page to PDF.

11. harfbuzz

    Compile Harfbuzz with Graphite support enabled.

    InDesign 2020 uses Harfbuzz for complex script rendering. Harfbuzz has the capability to use Graphite instructions for rendering complex scripts, but Adobe has compiled Harfbuzz without Graphite support.

    Graphite is needed for rendering some character combinations used in languages which are not supported by other font technologies.

13. Temporary file not working

    In the company I'm working at we have our files on a server that we share. When a customer have some edits requested we get an email in our system with the changes required. Me or one of my colleagues dive in to the job and fix the things in InDesign and then send a pdf back to the customer.
    This works really great and it's usually small changes here and there in quarterly and annual reports we work with.
    But now it seems like the temporary file saved on the server isn't working like it used to.
    This morning I jumped in to fix one job that came in the email system and I saved the pdf and sent it to the customer. And a few seconds one of my colleagues said he tried to save a pdf, but it was already saved. So he was working in the InDesign file the same as I was working on it.
    This couldn't be done before. InDesign said the file was already open and I guess it's because the temporary file was in the folder while someone was working. Now it doesn't care if the file is open by someone else.
    We did a test now (we have contact over Zoom during the Corona), but I opened the file and then my colleague opened the same file with no problem.
    This is something that needs to be fixed. Otherwise we need to call each other and ask about every single file before we start working with it.
    Something must be wrong here. It used to work fine before.

    I hope you understand what the problem is and please let me know if this can be fixed.

16. Serious problem of "^" for GREP search

    Enter only "^" in the GREP search string field and click the search button to select the insertion point at the beginning of the paragraph. But this cannot be used for replacement. The replacement result is 0.
    I gave up that it was only useful for simple pointing tricks, but when I run it from a script the application hangs.

    It is like this. (When executed, the rainbow cursor will rotate forever.
    Please be careful. )

    app.findGrepPreferences.findWhat = "^";
    var res = app.activeDocument.findGrep ();

    If the replacement string field is "~ c" (the contents of the clipboard), the first character is lost from the original text instead of entering it.
    This is also a very dangerous behavior.

    Requests for improvement include:
    Improved to prevent hang when executing the above script,
    If possible, replace text (add a character string to the beginning of a paragraph).

17. Rotated type in a linked indesign document crashes indesign when exporting a pdf

    2. rotate a text box in a layout by 90 degrees. place this document into another document, and this one into a third. as links. try to export as a pdf.

18. Kerning (spacing) issue with small caps active

    There's an annoying issue with kerning (or in general with characters spacing) on characters without small caps when small caps is active on preceding characters.
    This appens randomly on a full text document but seems always with text imported from Word.
    The strange thing is that if I deactivate small caps from only a white space before the badly spaced text, the problem disappear. Likewise if I deactivate small caps from preceding word but keep it in the white space before the badly spaced text, the problem disappear again. However if I deactivate small caps from preceding text, keeping it in a white space before the badly spaced text and in a single character before, the problem still remain.
    I don't know why this appens and why only in some text, but this is annoing because it's not so evident when scrolling through a big document and it could remain on a printed book.

19. HSB Swatch Displays incorrectly with Color Settings OFF

    On Mac, when using the setting "Emulate Adobe InDesign 2.0 CMS OFF" in Color Settings, HSB color swatches display incorrectly on the page. For example, a light pastel would display as royal blue. When using "North American Prepress 2" or "North American General Purpose 2" settings, the color is displayed correctly.

    Also, the automatic names InDesign provides when using "Add Unnamed Colors" in the Swatches panel show incorrect values. See attached.
