1. idlk lock files cause SharePoint to stop syncing

   I am experiencing exactly this issue (see link below).

   I don't understand how you have ignored so many user requests and done nothing about this issue in nearly 7 years!

2. Toolbar is unusable.

   Please help. See image. No Tools are selectable for use.

   I have uninstalled and reinstalled the software. But nothing changed. I had to revert to CC 2019 to complete my work. My entire toolbar is unusable and not highlighted like its supposed to be. I'm in the middle of a deadline.

3. InDesign 15.0.2 avec MacOs Catalina - Vérification orthographique

   La vérification orthographique dynamique et l'outil de vérification orthographique (commande+i) ne fonctionnent plus sur les textes en français : aucune faute d'orthographe n'est repérée. Ces outils fonctionnent pourtant très bien pour l'anglais, l'espagnol et le français canadien.

4. AIGPUSniffer crashing while launching InDesign 2020 on macOS Catalina

   I was wondering if anyone can help me when I startup Indesign 2020. The AIGPUSniffer quits unexpectedly. I am running Mac Catalina 10.15.3. You could see it because a system icon jumps at the dock, and if I try to reopen, it keeps quitting.

   I have a new Macpro 16inch with the GPU AMD Radeon Pro 5500M 8GB.

   This problem is only happening in Indesign, no in other adobe applications.

   I even tried to uninstall Indesign and reinstalled, but the problem persists.

   I also tried the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool, where I have to uninstall everything.

   Also, try turning off the GPU Performance in Preferences.

   It is very frustrating to pay a subscription for and application that is not working correctly.

   I have read many things in various forums, but this problem is not very clear if I need to do something and what?

   Please help.!!!😁

5. refresh all stories not working correctly

   InDesign 2020 v15.0.3 running on Mac Catalina.
   When I type command-option-/ to refresh stories the refresh seems to go into a toggle mode swapping back and forward between correct and incorrect layouts. Very difficult to know if the correct version is working. Similar to the 2017 bug where table headers disappeared but even WORSE as the usual fix does not work consistently. Have to manually check EVERY page of document before sending to client as layout goes crazy.

6. Hyperlinks copy/pasted between files *appear* to break after source document is removed.

   Using CC2019 on a Mac running High Sierra

   Steps to reproduce:
   1) Create a document with a few hyperlinks in it.
   2) Whilst this document is open, open a 2nd document, and copy/paste the links from one document to the other.
   3) Save both and close.
   4) Trash source document

   Expected result: hyper links should work in Target document as expected.

   Actual result: hyperlinks all appear broken in document. Whilst an exported PDF appears to still work, ID reports all those links as broken.

   Other details:
   If you retrieve the source document from the trash, it the links in the target document suddenly start working again, meaning your not actually pasting the hyperlink, but theres some sort of link that exists between the source and target document.

   Saving target file as a new file, saving as idml, has no effect – those links are still tied to the source document.

   This in an absolute tragedy if you are working on large documents with lots of links, and needs fixing ASAP

9. InDesign 15.0.2 won't open

   The new 15.0.2 version on a Mac will continue to bounce and not open. The splash screen doesn't show and the app will not respond. I have let the app try to open for an extended period of time, but after 10 minutes of just bouncing and not opening, the app has to be force quit.

   As confirmed by the user, The issue is resolved.
   The issue was related to few bad fonts housed within the system fonts folder..

10. Source Sans Pro latest version's properties have changed

    The latest version of Source Sans pro (version 3.006) appears to start lower down text frames than the previous version did which messes up months worth of existing projects. When I go to edit the copy, it all shifts down the text box by a few millimetres.

    In the attached image you can see two of the same text boxes - one is correct, and one has shifted down due to the font updating.

    I've spoken with InDesign support who said to log the issue here.

    As a temporary fix I have downloaded version 2.040 of the font from Github and this works perfectly.

11. 270 degrees rotation changes image shapes

    When placing an image from Illustrator (like an .ai or .eps) and rotating it 270 degrees will turn round corners into sharp corners. this only happens with 270 degrees rotation not with 269 or 271. Not even with 270,1 or 269,9. This was on InDesign CC 2020 version 15.0.

12. Indesign 2020 file opens off screen and HUGE

    I am using Windows 10, I upgraded to indesign 2020 and even before this my files open off screen and much larger than my monitor. I thought this would have been fixed in the 2020 version. Anyone know a fix for this?

    So I tried everything even working full screen, and files still open HUGE, like 2 monitors worth, and off the screen. I attached a shot of how files open when, desktop is in view with no background screen, and in full screen.

    2. press »W« while document is opened
    3. text on page shoud be eaqual in preview and normal view
    4. text in preview and normal view are not eaqual. (Text and formats were not adjusted between the view changes.)

14. open a file window

    Hi. I'm running on InDesign 15.0.3 on macOS Catalina 10.15.5

    I was editing a file when suddenly InDesign crashed. A crash report was submitted and no harm was done. I proceeded to open InDesign and everything seemed fine with one exception. When I go File > Open, the Open a File window color theme does not match the interface color theme I've chosen (which is set to Dark). I tried changing to all the other color themes and it remained the same. Then I went into my OS system preferences and made sure my appearance has Dark chosen for all menus.

    Still the same. I then uninstalled and reinstalled InDesign. Still the same issue. I went into Ae, Ps, Ai, and Photoshop was the only application that had the correct matching theme. I knew this UI design wasn't intentional because I used these applications daily and this all happened a day ago after InDesign had crashed. Attached are screenshots of the issue. Please review and advise. Thank you.

15. can't delete all OR multiple missing links at once?

    break, remove, delete all OR multiple missing links at once? I thought it used to be able to do this -- I can't find it anywhere in 2019 or 2020.

    If not, why the heck not? It's obviously a useful feature. And I can't find anything anywhere using multiple search engines.

    and NO I do not want to watch a video that may or may not answer the problem -- I want to scan a page of text & images to see if it is relevant since no titles appear -- they're all about updating or repairing.

    I want to remove/delete every missing link AND the image frame for the missing link ALL at one time, batch remove, batch delete -- whatever the terminology is. All at once.

17. hangs on export to epub3

    I have one file that will not export at all. InDesign hangs every time and I have to force quit. I have tried not including the cover, the fonts, the TOC, in all combinations. I was able to export by opening the IDML in CS6. Mac OS 10.3.6 and InDesign CC 15.1

    As confirmed by the customer, the issue was due to hyperlinks inside footnotes in the document. Deleting them resolved the issue.

19. Indesign link

    ndesign links all look fine in links folder. None missing. Next day when I open the file I get this message when exporting to PDF. Have to relink when already linked. Or if that doesnt work. Resave photoshop file and then appears perfect in indesign
