1. PDF export preferences: document-based, not application-based

   So I'm working on 3 Indd documents. On one of them, I need a PDF of page 4 only. The preferences are reset for all 3 documents to output only page 4. Why should I have to remember to reset the output for ALL 3 to All Pages? Shouldn't this be a document-based preference, not an application-based one?

2. Fonts Not Loading

   Font loading is sporadic in InDesign 15.1.1 on macOS Catalina 10.15.5

   Fonts that were working just fine yesterday suddenly won't load. I've cleared caches to no avail.

   This affects InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop... however, Photoshop seems to be hit or miss... sometimes they load, sometimes they don't.

3. thumbnail size

   I'd like to be able to adjust the size of the graphic thumbnails in the CC Library panel, similarly to the ability to adjusting the thumbnail size in the Gallery view of Lightroom.

   I am drawing from about a hundred images to build out a deck. Many photos are shot in similar locations and are subtly nuanced. On my 13" Macbook, I can't really distinguish them. There's plenty of room for a single line of larger images, but currently no ability to change their size. This makes ID largely useless for building out this deck unless I'm on my 27" iMac or else trying to use ID and the Finder in concert, which seems dumb.

4. dicitionary

   Settings for Dictionary gets reset again all the time.
   I am using "Deutsch Rechtschreibereform 2006" and it gets reset to "Deutsch Rechtschreibeversion 1996". Also the ""-Setting below will be changed.

5. ID2020 Running variable falls back to previous header randomly

   Current version 15.1
   Did not have this issue with previous version, produced 2 reports within a month one before the update and one after. The first one went out fine, the second one have the following glitch:

   • All pages have ONE master page footer including ONE variable connected to a header style - simple and standard, never caused an issue since the beginning of the function's history .

   What happens in the spread:
   Page 1 contains Header 1 and footer refers to H1
   Page 2 contains Header 2 and footer refers to H2
   Page 3 contains no header and footer (SUDDENLY!) refers to H1

   And so on, the variable just falls back to the previous Header at random. Sometimes it's fine, sometimes it's REALLY NOT!

   Got this fixed just now, by duplicating text-boxes with headers and deleting old ones, just purely duplicating over... So there were no issue with Variable - style connection, it's just loosing it all of a sudden...

   So a heads up for everyone to be aware of it and watch it as I've already have a company's sustainability report stuffed up because of it, thanks Adobe, will you cover the cost of the reprint?

6. shortcuts: shift + end / shift + pos1 does not work any more

   It was handy to activate all Text with shift + end or shift + pos1. This does not work any more and should be fixed.

7. Import specific pdf page with Data merge

   It could be interesting to include a specific page from a pdf into a data merge link and not only the page 1.
   It could be useful when we have a lot of pages in the pdf and only one image by page.

8. Paragraph style bullets and numbering Arabic incorrect display Indesign 2020

   Latest Indesign 2020
   When specifying an Arabic string for Number in paragraph style Bullets and Numbering, the string does not display correctly. Every letter is connected to the letter to the right rather than the letter to the left.

   The wrong behavior is not present in Indesign 2019.

   Fix for this issue is now available in the latest update of InDesign 2020 – that is, InDesign 15.0.1

   In the Creative Cloud Desktop application, click on the Updates section on the left. You should be able to see the Update available for InDesign. Please update your InDesign application to this version to try out the fix.

9. Jumping to wrong tabs

   Hi, when I try to click on the File menu, it keeps jumping to Window instead. That goes for any menu item I try to open. I'm using the 2018 version of InDesign on Windows.

11. Glyphs automatically replaced with indesign 15.0.1 update

    After updating to version 15.0.1 indesign replaced automatically one of the glyphs of the Source Sans Pro font.
    If the same file is openend with a previous version of indesign, glyph returns to its original appearance.

12. InDesign help/welcome screen

    I don't like the fact that the, what looks like a "welcome screen" always pops up after closing InDesign work page. I was told it it's a UI of the application.
    Please find a way for us to turn that off. I find it annoying and not helpful during my work day.

13. Color font printing in muted colors in pdf/print

    There are some issues with the rendering/printing of color-fonts (created with Fontself) in InDesign 2020. This looks like a bug because switching from pdf 1.6 to pdf 1.3 and back to 1.6 in the pdf export dialog-box solves the issue. This isn't an option in our InDesign server setup though. Are there any ideas for a workaround?

14. Click, click-drag combinations no longer work as they did previously.

    Upon upgrading to 15.1.1, on Mac OS 10.14.16 Mojave

    -Triple-clicking won't select a whole line, and, yes, I selected "triple-click to select whole line" in preferences.

    Double-clicking does won't switch from the object tool to the text tool.

    Double-click and drag won't extend the selection.

    I didn't find anything in the Mac OS, Wacom, or InDesign prefs that referenced click or click-drag options. Adjusting double-click speed doesn't change this bug.

    If these features were disabled to take advantage of the swipe features of Apple mouse and tablet gestures, please add a preference option to use a standard mouse.

    This bug is really slowing down my work.

    When pasting a group of layers from one document to another it would be great of InDesign would honor the sort order when the layers land in the receiving document. Also if the layer colors can stay the same.

    I often paste between documents and it is not fun having the manual sort the layers. How about a sort selected layer by "X' as an option. Typically I number these direct mail layers in numerical order.

    This is very important with direct mail clients with variable data. The printers prefer all versions for the different branch offices in a 2-page front and back INDD file for both digital and traditional printing as well.

17. InDesign freezes and then crashes

    Version: InDesign 15.0.1 x64
    Issue(s): 1. One example is that when working in InDesign and go to save a file the application shows that the icon is spinning and never seems to stop spinning. Then an error message pops up on the screen indicating some sort of issue and then the application crashes to the desktop.
    2. When opening up a file that I have been working on it takes a while to open and when it does open it opens a prior file that I was working on.
    Expected Results: 1. When saving a file I am expecting the application to save as normal and to bring me back to the application and not crash.
    2. To open the file that I requested to be opened.
    Actual Result: 1. File does not save as expected, errors out and then the application crashes.
    2. File requested to be opened opens, but opens with another file as well.
    Example: See attached Windows Event log for application crash details for issue #1.

    To identify the cause of this issue, we had started our investigation with the aim to resolve it. You might have also received email from us seeking more details to help in our investigation.

    We’ve concluded our investigation and came up with the finding : Either the issue is fixed in the latest release of InDesign or the issue was intermittent in nature at the time of its reporting and is not reproducible now.

    We recommend you to upgrade to the latest version of InDesign 2020 (if you’re not already on it). It contains a lot of stability fixes.

18. Master Items misssing when used based on page

    Using Windows 7 or Mac OS no matter even it's in preview Indesign CC.

    I found this and very annoying to fix it manually in master page items.

    Steps Created Master Page A for body text pages
    Created master Page B: As a chapter opener. It's based on Master A. Only removed top running header.

    Now applied in pages:
    Left side page : Master Page A.
    Right side page chapter opener and applied Master Page B

    Result: Part of Running Header is disappear in Left Side Page, right side page ok as is.

    Am I missing something. Getting this kind of result from previous version of Indesign CC

    PS: When I removed based on features. Everything is ok. Even If item is within page, then also it's ok. If the items is touching the page edge or bleeding then it disappears.

    After further investigating, came to this conclusion: it only happens if used based on features in master pages and after removing editing header part. Effects on the item that bleeds. in this case Master page A.

19. Deleting Preference files

    I crashed when I boot up and the message says I need to delete the Preferences files but Alt-Ctl-Shift doesn't show the expected Preferences file message upon startup. Is there another way to delete Preference files?

20. STILL stuck in hand tool InDesign

    Stuck in hand tool... YES I read the existing thread... NO none of those fixes work. Adobe, PLEASE supply a REAL, PERMANENT fix.

    Running 2015 MacBook Pro Retina 15-inch, Mojave 10.14 2.8 GHz

    I have NO OTHER programs running. RESTARTING neither the app nor the computer helped. I can't perform ANY tasks in InDesign.
