  1. buttons and forms text color

    The Buttons and Forms Palette only allows for text size and font but not for text color and alignement (other than left) for creating forms for PDF these functions are essential to have !!!

  2. Downloading PDF after publishing to Adobe

    when i publish the document to the Adobe - Cloud; it does provide me option to download to PDF; however that PDF is not interactive PDF.. is there a setting for that ?

  3. Helvetica Neue Packaging Issue

    Issues after updating to the latest version of InDesign. Helvetica Neue is not being recognized after update and will not display correctly. Screenshots attached for reference. Most typefaces are TTF. Was packaged and printed correctly on last version and now facing these issues.

  4. InDesign: Nach Update auf 2021 ist komplettes Dokument zerschossen

    Hallo,
    nach dem wir von 2020 (15.1.2) auf 2021 (16.x.x) upgedatet hatten, hat es unsere kompletten Magazinseiten zerschossen. Headlines // Fließtexte etc wurden komplett durcheinander gerührt und nicht mehr an der richtigen Stelle stehend angezeigt.

    Unsere kompletten Stilvorlagen (Absatz- und Zeichenformate) wurden total zerschossen.

    InDesign erschwert uns von Update zu Update unsere tägliche professionelle Arbeit.

    Wir sind nun erstmal wieder auf die alte Version gegangen, das hat zum Glück funktioniert – aber der Frust in der täglichen Arbeit bleibt!

    Wir können nicht ständig unseren kompletten Workflow umstellen! Das geht einfach nicht.

  5. Some spreads gone grey and only export as blank pages in 15.1.1

    I have a 48-page magazine about to go to print and three spreads have suddenly gone grey - as you see in screenshot. In the Pages panel they appear blank and when I export them - also blank. Getting worried...

    Separately, the "Fit Page/Spread in Window" instead zooms in to 2,642% magnification.

  6. PDF exports spreads when set to single pages

    In ID2021, when I export this document as single pages in interactive mode, it exports as spreads. When I save as IDML and open in 2020, it works.

  7. when placing pdf files (not all of them) the pdf looks jumbled in High Quality Display. If i put to Fast Display it looks normal

  8. unwanted space at line beginning (Thai language)

    when paragraph contain Latin text or number or space at end of the line, many times when shrinking or expanding text frame, indesign cut the line and put space at beginning of the next line where those Latin text or number goes.

  10. Share For Review, only getting shape tool and pin tool.

    In share for review, I only see the pin tool and the shape tool. All of the other reviewing tools that I should be seeing are missing. They appear briefly and then disappear.

    If the Share for Review was created using the previous version of InDesign – InDesign 2020 (v 15.1/v15.1.1/v15.1.2), then only 2 Tools are visible in the browser – Pin and Draw.

    The new Text Tools in Share for Review – Highlight, Strikethrough, and Replace are available ONLY if :
    1) Share for Review is initiated from InDesign 2021.
    2) Opening a document that was created in an earlier version and initiating Share for Review from InDesign 2021.
    3) For Share for Review created from InDesign 2020 (v 15.1/v15.1.1/v15.1.2), you click on the Update Link button in the Share for Review panel in InDesign 2021. (You may have to hit the Refresh button in the browser if the Review was already open there).

  11. Placing photo in frame

    When I'm trying to place for example photo in frame (cmnd+D of File -> Place...) nothing won't happen. Just rolling the beach ball...

  12. hyperlinks

    You create hyperlinks for your pages - and nothing appears in the Hyperlinks panel, so you cannot see what you've already hyperlinked!!!

  13. IndexOptions are lost in IDML when you use styles in a style group

    Version Indesign 2020
    Steps to reproduce.
    1. Create a document with an index
    2. Create styles for the index in a style group
    3. Generate an index with the styles that are in a style group
    4. Save as IDML
    5. Open the IDML
    6. Try to generate the index

    Expected result: The settings/options in 'Generate Index' are kept as they were in the original file.

    Actual Result: The options are reset to the default styles, not the styles inside the style group.

  14. InDesign 2021 is not displaying my documents correctly

    I just opened my CV created in InDesign 2020 and after the update to 2021 font styles have changed and text is partially not displayed at all. This leads to the document's layout being off and not usable.

  15. Arrange object after unhide

    Using Adobe InDesign 15.0.1 x64 (CC 2020), after I unhid several linked image objects, I was unable to arrange those elements forward or backward to make it visible on top of other elements. The objects were not locked as I checked several times and even copying / pasting them would not allow me to rearrange them. Restarting solved the problem after I spent 20 minutes fighting with it.

  16. Variable Font: top of "U" wiggles as you change weight (FreeType bug)

    1. Download and unzip https://www.dropbox.com/s/3b6k0izkm5ma3dy/200719-AdobeVFBug.zip?dl=1

    2. Install the font from font/DaikonVF-mini.ttf

    3. Run InDesign 15.1.1

    4. Type "AU" and choose the Daikon VF font

    5. Click the Variable Font button and move the weight slider between the extreme locations. Observe how the top of "U" "wiggles" (jumps up and down). This is shown in videos/DaikonVF-InDesign-15.1.1.mp4

    6. The same problem occurs in Illustrator 24.2.1 and I have logged it at https://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/601447-illustrator-bugs/suggestions/40945024-variable-font-bug-wiggling-top-of-u

    7. The same problem occurs in DTL OTmaster 7.9 and in FontView 2019 (an open source app built from https://github.com/googlefonts/fontview ) — both apps use older versions of the FreeType library.

  17. Option bar on Save and Place windows

    Since the recent update to 2021, when I save, export, or place image, the window that opens is so small and there are now options at the bottom that I don't need and the area to select a file is only big enough to see 3 or 4 files.

    Can you make this window larger so you don't have to expand the window size or hide the options every time? It gets monotonous.

  19. The "spinning ball" when working with a graphic box!

    I have a serious problem! My InDesign 2021 (version 16.0.1) shows the "spinning ball" every time an image is placed into the graphics box, as well as when duplicating, copying, pasting the image box (with an image inside), as well as when updating the image in the graphics box. The "spinning ball" is shown every time for 11 seconds. However, the image type (psd, tiff or eps / ai / pdf) does not matter. Working with such a performance bug is very difficult. Adobe, I demand to fix this as soon as possible!

  20. FIle extension should NOT be highlighted in the Save window.

    FIle extension should NOT be highlighted in the Save window.

    This didn't use to happen, but all the adobe apps has started doing this from 2 or 3 updates ago.

    PLEASE REVERT. There's no good reason for the file extension to be highlighted.
