  1. Making edits in Share for Review is painstakingly SLLLLOOOOWWWWWWW!

    When I click "Resolved", it seems to me that syncing to web might be making it slow. Maybe don't update to web until you're done making your edits. I'm working on a 500-page book. Everything about InDesign for this book is tremendous. Share for Review is by far the weakest link.

  2. indesign 16.2 workspace frame unresponsive stuck in place

    indesign frame workspace won't move, won't grab, red close button unresponsive & won't close ... so many bugs regarding the panels and frames!!!!!

  3. index bug

    Hi, I've got a large book which I'm indexing. I need to index our product codes alongside indexing normal reference - two examples are PBR030SETK and PBR30SETK. When I reference both of these (separately) the index automatically adjusts the second reference to match the previously indexed reference eg if I tag PBR030SETK that works fine, but then when I tag PBR30SETK it adjusts the reference to be PBR030SETK, but they should be appearing as two separate references. I typically tag product codes with a $ first, but it has the same glitch whether the dollar sign is tagged in the…

  4. Crashed dialog windows

    Steps to reproduce: First time launch, opened file and didnt dismiss tour window, then opened second file with missing font
     
    Result: both the tour window and the missing font window became stuck open with no way to dismiss either

    Expected: To be able to clear one, then the other

  5. Save/Save as corrupts file

    InDesign 2021, running on Mac OS 10.14.6, on a iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, 2019)

    I recently "upgraded" my version of InDesign to the latest 2021 version. I thought, why not, new features, upgraded stability.

    Or so I thought....

    I started working on a document, a newsletter, that I retrieved from our archive as it is a quarterly magazine. I opened the file and proceeded to start working on it. Did a couple of pages and thought I'd better save it.

    Command+s, message pops up saying this file is damaged and/or corrupt, save it as something else. Which I did, and…

  7. share for review is not working consistently

    If I try updating a share for review link the share for review panel freezes as shown in the attached image and nothing happens.
    I have to close and reopen the indesign file for the Share for Review to update the link, but it only works once or twice, before it begins to freeze again.

    This issue was fixed in InDesign v15.1.2 and later.

    Please update to the latest available versions and see if the issue(s) you were facing earlier has got resolved.

    Remember to check how you are signed into your CC account and if need be, sign out and sign in again. Since Share for Review is a service and dependent on your login to your Adobe ID account, it is important that CCD app is working well with your credentials.

  8. W key doesn't work in 16.1 or 16.2.1 on Windows 10

    Title says it all. I deleted preferences and restarted the computer, and W just doesn't work to switch the screen mode. I installed 16.0 and W works fine there.

    The drop down menus are not responding when I hover over. I'm using InDesign 2021 16.01 and have recently updated to OS Big Sur, this is when the issues began.

  10. Try to export a small file size pdf but get error message everytime

    The previous InDesign document exported to a pdf no problem but for some reason next updated version will not! INFURIATING...I'm on a magazine deadline too!!!

  11. InDesign M1 Expired

    Hi,

    Just downloaded (2021-06-01) the M1 version and ... seems 'expired'.

    I've have 'repaired' CreativeCloud, logged out, removed the InDesign M1 version then reinstalled it but I always get the 16.3.0.5 version.

    I've found a post re this expiration which told about the 16.3.0.14 but where can I get it ?

  12. Apple M1 Mac mini. Big Sur, InDesign CC 2021, tables are SLOW

    I've created a 6 column, 355 row table. No fill, default black stroke. I've created this same table, from the same data 100 times on my 2015 imac, running InDesign 2017 thru 2020. High Sierra was the highest MacOS on previous computer
    When I copy a word or phrase (100 or fewer characters) and paste it into another cell, it is showing the thinking beachball for 15 seconds. I'm simply double clicking on 5 characters to copy, then clicking into another table cell to paste the word. Everything that I had previously completed using tables in previous versions was quick.…

  13. PDF Files Not Exporting

    When I try to export any file in InDesign to a PDF of any type or size nothing happens. No error messages pop up and nothing happens. My background tasks say export failed but no indication why. Also there are no corrupted files, disconnected links or errors in my document and it has been exported before.

  14. InDesign's eyedropper tool is inaccurate. Photoshop's eyedropper tool is perfect.

    First off, thanks for the wonderful apps! This is about the eyedropper tool featured in both InDesign and Photoshop. The eyedropper tool in InDesign does not grab the exact color from a source image, yet the eyedropper tool in Photoshop works perfectly. Is there a way to use the Photoshop eyedropper code in InDesign, so that it will acquire an accurate color, and users don't have to open Photoshop to acquire the correct color when working in InDesign? Thanks!

  16. InDesign import from Microsoft Word does not pick up all formatting

    InDesign 16.0.1, macOS 11.1, MacBook Pro M1
    1. Import Word file
    2. InDesign text randomly ignores bold and italic formatting present in Word doc. See attached screenshots.

  18. Arabic diacritic positions corrupted when inserting footnote reference or Index page reference

    Indesign version: Last versions and older versions
    Steps to reproduce: Add footnote reference or Index page reference, some words in the same line will have dots and diacritics positioned wrongly.
    Expected result: Text should be the same before and after Reference insertions.
    Actual result: Diacritics and dots of some words in the same line gets repositioned wrongly.

  19. Drag-Duplicating using Alt/Opt key does not work if key is pressed after dragging

    I am working on Mac OS Big Sur v 11.3.1 using Indesign CS 2020 16.2.1.
    I cannot duplicate images using the command option shift key.
    I have also noticed that holding the shift key down to proportionately size images is also not working. Could you advise if this issue can be solved? I have read the thread posted in 2020 and it said it was under review. I tried the workaround suggested changing live Screen drawing to "never" but this has not changed anything. Please help! Thanks.

  20. Slow performance - spinning wheel - AdobeFnt22.lst

    Hi Adobe, we are still having major issues with a lot of spinning wheels in InDesign version 15.1.1. because of the AdobeFnt22.lst files that are created with every document. Basically when we open a document it resyncs/updates the AdobeFnt22.lst file of every document that was previously worked from that Mac. This is causing a lot of network traffic and spinning wheels in InDesign. The problem is fixed if we restart the Mac or rename the "Document fonts" folder so that InDesign no longer uses the fonts so does not create an "AdobeFnt.lst" file.
