  2. Export

    When exporting (CC2021, Big Sur) JPG from page to OSX Serve (OSX10.10.5), file size is 0 KB, but when export to desktop file is ok. No matter what JPG settings are. No error message. Other exports (pdf, epub) goes well.

  3. Indd-generated QR code disappears in Print-PDF

    When exporting a print pdf, a qr code that has been generated within inDesign does not appear in the pdf. There is not even an empty box. It seems the pdf export is somehow inaccurate when it comes to qr codes that have been generated in Indd.

  5. Index entry crash 2021

    Adding index entries is crashing the program. I've also had issue copying and pasting and dragging copies on certain pages that I have had to rebuild instead. Really disappointing and driving me crazy with a deadline looming

  7. Recents on Home screen Ability to pin indesign projects on the home landing screen

    A frustration with indesign and an opportunity to improve. As a user of indesign I want to be able to pin certain projects I am working on and see them on the landing home screen. (Currently I have to rely on win folders to store projects).

    So that I can easily locate projects that are of value and referenced not so regularly

  8. Data Merge not populating correctly when placeholder curse overflow

    When using Data-Merge with an .txt/.csv and using export as pdf, indesign (still) merge the fields wrong (only use the first data-entry), if the placeholder and not the data curse an frame-overflow.

    Detailed description:
    You have a textframe with enough space to place the string "888", but not enough space to place "8888".
    You have a .csv table with a colum named "number" and values from "1" to "999".
    You select the file with data-merge and get a placeholder "<<number>>" and replace the "888" with it. Now you got a frame overflow.

  10. When deleting a page in page tab numbers remain as before

    When deleting a page in page tab, the numbers are wrong, as if the deleted pages are still there. It doesn't update.
    As you can see in the file loaded, it starts with page 3, not 1.

  12. Pdfs come in upside down and inverted when viewed in 'high quality display' in InDesign, 16.0.. Mac OS, Big Sur 11.01.

    The problem is only in 'high-quality display' It shows normal in 'typical display.' When exporting from InDesign to a PDF there is no issue. This is a display rendering bug. Note: pdf I'm linking to was from Adobe XD.

  13. Unknown error while exporting PDF. Indesign v16.0.1, macOS 11.1 when turning on bleeds and flattening transparency.

    My friend on Windows had no problems exporting the same document in the same settings.

  14. Endnote references are not importing when placing word documents

    I am placing a word 365 document into InDesign 2020 with endnotes ticked to be included and the endnote references are not importing. In the past the endnote references will display in-text and a full endnote reference list will display on the last page in one text box. I have tried using 2018/2019 with the same result. This appears to be a new bug. I have attached screenshots of the Word document with endnotes displayed and the InDesign document after placing the same word document which shows the endnotes have not been imported.   15. Crash Adobe InDesign CC v15.02-v15.1

    It freezes when openning the program (Starting up Service Registry...) Adobe InDesign CC v15.02-15.1 (Installed Language: English International)

    (But Adobe Creative Cloud for Teams: Photoshop, Illustrator, Bridge and Acrobat DC are fine.)

    My Computer:

    PC Dell Inspiron 5680
    OS: Windows 10 Pro v2004 (64bit)
    Processor: Intel Core i7-8700 3.2GHz.
    HDD: 256GB SSD
    RAM: 16GB
    Display card: NVIDIA Geforce GTX 1070
    Display resolution: 1920x1080 Refresh rate: 60Hz.
    Monitor: Dell S2718H/HX

    The fix of the issue is now available in the latest InDesign 2021(v16.0.0.77). We recommend you upgrade to the latest version for the fix.

    If you are unable to see the update, go to the Creative Cloud application and click on the context menu on the top right and click on Check for App Updates.

  16. Cannot use bold version of Adobe Caslon Pro in version 16.0.1

    In the 2021 version of InDesign, the bold version of Adobe Caslon Pro does not work. It leaves a blank space, and if you click on the opentype box, it says "opentype properties are not applicable." The font itself is not the problem...I cannot reinstall the fonts because creative cloud tells me they are already there. Caslon and all its versions are also correctly installed in my windows fonts folder. I also cannot export to a PDF when I have the bold version of Caslon on a page. I CAN see, print, and use the bold font in older versions…

  17. Won't allow me to create a new document. Acts like it will, but doesn't.

    Make it woirk. Have to open a document, save as, change all the details and then can make a new document.

  19. Books documents styles - shared without syncing

    Manually syncing styles between documents is clunky and prone to error.

    Styles for a book should be centrally definable, and accessible by individual documents. There should be a single source for paragraph, character, table, cell styles as well as footnote/endnote options.

  20. Crashes when copying and then pasting into Photoshop

    Latest version release 15.1.
    Copied artwork that had eps file and spot color. Selected the group. Copied. Tried to open Photoshop screen (was already opened). InDesign then froze. Then crashed. Seperate elements work fine.. Not the grouped artwork.
    Expected results: Artwork is pasted onto a photoshop layer.
    Actual result: Crashes InDesign. No copy is shown to be pasted.

    To identify the cause of this issue, we had started our investigation with the aim to resolve it. You might have also received an email from us seeking more details to help in our investigation.

    We’ve concluded our investigation and came up with the finding: Either the issue is fixed in the latest release of InDesign or the issue was intermittent in nature at the time of its reporting and is not reproducible now.

    We recommend you to upgrade to the latest version of InDesign 2021(v16.0.0.77) as it is more robust and contains a lot of bug fixes.
