when I click on Indesign document, the program oben but nut the the documents

GREP variables $1 (and so on) are not working. $0 brings the found text, $1 just replaces with $1.

Cannot open InDesign - error 0xc000012f
For the last week or so, I have not been able to open InDesign. It seems it is the only Adobe programme causing me problems.
I've tried uninstalling and installing InDesign - nothing happens. I've sent a few bug reports, but haven't received any answer to how I get the programme to work.2 votes -

Ctrl + Alt + X
To use the shortcut "Ctrl + Alt + X" to do a hard space in the text is impossible - it doesn't work at all. When I press "Ctrl + Alt + X" I start some sort of screenshot function. When I chose "Hard space" from the menu it works as it should do.
So please help, I miss my "Ctrl + Alt + X" -function.

missing scripts after installation ID CC13.0/ID2018 Windows
Startup scripts are no longer running after installation. The Scripts folder is empty.
Indesign copies the folder from version 12 and creates the folder C:\Users<user>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\InDesign\Version 13.0\de_DE
But Indesign-scripts now are saved in C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe InDesign CC 2018\Scripts
So you have to copy the script folders by yourself.1 voteHi,
Thanks for reporting this issue. Just wanted to confirm few things:
1) Was there some scripts present in folder C:\Users\\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\InDesign\Version 12.0\de_DE and these are not copied to 13.0 folder?
2) Is your problem just limited to folder movement or you are facing the issue that your startup scripts are not running?Please provide more detail about the issue. Also, It would be useful if you can provide steps to reproduce the issue.

Adobe inDesign is shutting down
Adobe in Design is shutting dow. A serious error was detected. Please restart InDesign to recover work in any unsaved InDesign documents. This happened when importing an image cmd D.

Filetype is the same as CC 2018
InDesign CC 2019 (14.0.0.130) for Mac
Filetype is the same as CC 2018. Each version has been given a unique Filetype. The only exception is v6.0.0–6.0.3 (CS4), but it was fixed as a bug in 6.0.4. I also expect it to be fixed as a bug of 14.0.0 as well.38 votesThis has been done to preclude any new entries for CFBundleTypeOSTypes. The previous release, CC2018 had CFBundleTypeOSType as IDdD but for the new release, we have not created the new OSType entry as IDdE rather kept the previos entry intact.
Apple had deprecated any entries of the form of CFBundleType from 10.5 and now recommends using a UTType(Uniform Type Identifier) entry instead of creating CFBundleType entries. We might choose creating UTTypes in the future. However, for now we have stopped creating separate CFBundleTypes for the new releases.
It would helpful to know from you as to how you use these entries in your workflows so that we can suggest you an alternative.You may reach out to abkaushi@adobe.com.

Indesign duplicates when I click and drag on anything, and it won't stop
Whenever I hold click and drag something Indesign creates a copy. It's almost like the Alt button is held down but it's not. I've removed the keyboard and it still does it. I've updated the software and it still happens. I've tried multiple restarts but no luck. I even uninstalled and ran an install but still no fix. Does anyone know why this is happening? It's not happening on any other Adobe software, just Indesign. I'm working on the latest version.

how about a recipe for porting InDesign CC 2018 plugins to InDesign CC 2019 running Win10
Well, I can't seem to get my plugin to build w/o errors in the adobe boost library, would like explicit recipe to setup vs 2017 environment to build w/o errors.

Strange black window in InDesign CC 14.0
There is a strange bug since my latest upgrade to 14.0. Each time I import an image into a frame (cmd D) it appears a black window. Very annoying. Now way to get rid of it except shutting everything down, quitting InDesign and restarting. What's wrong?

InDesign 2019 not working
The latest version of InDesign (2019, AKA 14.0) has serious flaws and should probably be withdrawn. I see any number of reported problems in the forum that indicate a lot of time being wasted on workarounds and issues that render it unusable. The problems are known and have been acknowledged by tech-support staff. Anyone trying to solve the numerous problems should just go back to your last working version and wait until Adobe posts an upgrade.

PDF comment import does not show regular sticky notes.
The new PDF comment feature imports the comments just fine, but regular sticky note comments are not displaying. They show up in the list, but do not point to where they are on the document.

how about a new idea on policy: Don't leave developers to hang out to dry when the Developer has a ligitiment gripe about the Indesign SDK
I AM not happy here, pleas give me something to try at least the bloody BOOST in the indesign 2019 b130 SDK does not compile with any plugin on Win10 sv2017
To be specific it has to do with std::unaryfunction and std::Binaryfunction primarily which was taken out of the std:: library for c++11 and to conform with the current standard. I cannot figure out how to get around this error among many others. At least tell me what you want to help me help you help me. Come' on1 vote -
how about an Indesign 2019 SDK version that has examples that build w/o error in Windows 10 using vs2017
I don't know if I am using the correct SDK for Windows how can I get the correct SDK, I know it is not an idea but a request for information, the idea is publish correct information for plugin developers on how to build plugins on the Win10 platform using VS2017 which if I am not mistaken is listed in the requirements

Open Type unavailable
I have the most recent upgrade to CC InDesign. A new problem just came up. Properties panel shows no problems but open type properties are not available msg appears on all newly input type, which displays at 1/10 size. I did a re-install, but it did not change. This has halted my work!

.ai imported file bounding box turns solid black when printed. The previous version of ID left me choose "the printer determines colors" under Color Handling. After the recent upgrade that selection is no longer available.
