Data Merge ignores files when a header field is called 'table'
If Data Merge tries to select a data source where one of its header fields is called 'table' (all lowercase), it fails to import (InDesign v 13.0.1). It doesn't seem to matter which column it's in, but changing it to anything else (e.g. 'Table' with uppercase 'T') seems to fix it.
Tried it on 2 machines, same result. Adobe Customer Care on Twitter confirmed they could replicate it and suggested I post it here.

I have a multiple page text document in indesign, I want to spell check only the text in the panels, so manual selection is the best option in this scenario. But what happens is the spell checker always reverts back to document. how do you set it to stay on selection mode?

When placing a PDF of stylized text into ID2019, some text flips upside down. But it works fine in ID2018.
3 votesThe fix for this issue is now available in the latest update 14.0.2 of InDesign 2019.
If you are unable to see the update notification yet, open the menu (three dots) from the top-right of Creative Cloud desktop application and click on ‘Check For App Updates’.
Once the update button is shown against InDesign, click on the button to update to Id 14.0.2.If you face any problems with the new update, do let us know in the comments.

Mouse-click in menus becomes disabled
InDesign 12.1.0.56; macOS Sierra 10.12.5; Magic Mouse
The issue varies with any file. I have mostly seen this occur when in the Find/Change window, or when I try and select a font. My mouse will not be able to click (select) anything in the drop down menus. I am able to select with my keyboard by using the arrows and "return" key. To get the mouse to click (select) an option from a drop down menu, I must first restart InDesign and then open the same file.

Find Font reports fonts activated with Suitcase Fusion are in system folder - knock on effect in XMPie
- CC2019 Win10_64 (Suitcase Fusion 9)
2-4. Activate fonts with suitcase Fusion and use in job. Find Font will show the correct path to Fusion's font vault. After continuing to use InDesign and Fusion for a while, usually within 30 minutes of normal use, Find Font reports the same font is now in system folder.
This causes an issue with the XMPie uCreate plugin. When the incorrect path is shown, XLIM Preflight detects an issue with the font and won't allow the job to be exported. NB: I have recreated this bug with XMPie uninstalled.

Adjust Minimum Increment Preferences
When using a document set up in inches, the default minimum measurement increment is .0625. It's really hard to work with increments this large when working with drop shadows, other effects, or working with space before and after. I'd love to be able to edit this default minimum increment so these things are easier to work with in inches.

unable to select the type tool by clicking "T" on the keyboard

Won't open some .indd files
CC 2019 14.0.1
Some .indd files will not open. They've opened previously, and SOME very similar files will still open. When I doulble-click or open from the ID app, nothing happens. No errors. Just nothing. Tried copying files to desktop or duplicating/re-naming with no luck. Tried copying and changing extension to .idml, still no luck. Rebooted my machine, same. Deleted preferences, same. Uninstalled and re-intalled the app, same.1 vote -
Unable to type the í character
When typing, inDesign doesn't receive the í character. On the Hungarian keyboard the í can be entered as AltGr+J. When typing the text, and pressing AltGr+J, sometimes the í doesn't appears, but the Paragraph options dialog pops up. Pressing one more time the AltGr+J types the í. This is a problem in the newer versions, in the CS6 version this wasn't a problem.

"haven't" contraction hyphenating in English USA
Unlike most of the other common contractions in English, the word "haven't" hyphenates at the end of a line. It shouldn't.

CC Library 2019 - Add new item and change it name
When I add item to CC Library 2019, and try change it name - all text (with lag!) is select and I losing my previeus text, becouse I still typing.

resize object works rarely
It's already 2019. I've been reading comments from 2015 about this same issue. I downloaded the most current version of InDesign and unbelievably I still cannot resize an object on my MacbookPro by clicking on the shift button. It works occasionally (for some odd reason). This is totally ridiculous. I read dozens of complaints about this from 2015 and on. Seriously, Adobe? You cannot fix this issue once and for all.

changes reverting back?
Beginning yesterday, anytime I edit my document, the changes momentarily take place and then the changed or deleted items reappear. If I switch between preview and normal, the changes will show.

Preferences: Preview image not working
My Italian InDesign release doesn't create a Hi Res preview image.
In the preferences I've flagged the "always save preview image with the document", Pages: "all the pages" and Preview dimensions: "very big 1024x1024", but the software doesn't work: when I try to have a look at the documents with Adobe Bridge I can see a low res preview, while with ID Util (an utility for OSX Quick Look) I can't see any preview of the pages of the document. This issue didn't happen with the previous release of InDesign and my old MacPro with El Capitan. Now I'm working…1 vote -
Unable to update to latest InDesign version
I am trying to open an organizational chart file that was last edited 2 months ago on InDesign 13.1, but I get a prompt that the file was created in 14.0 so I need to convert it.
In the Creative Cloud desktop app, there are no available updates for me to install, so I am stuck with converting the file and having to manually re-link the 20 profile pictures in the document. I would rather just update the InDesign version to be able to properly open and edit the file, if that was actually the issue.

FileInfo
File Info dialog box is not displayed when selecting File > File Info. The dialog is active but is somewhere off screen. (OS is OS X/High Sierra.)
This problem has existed for some time; in previous versions the problem was solved by deleting the file "DVADialogPrefs.xml" but this file no longer exists.

If a Word file has an Index built within it, InDesign can only see it if it is a .doc file. This is a bug with CC2019-CC2014 and earlier. If you import the .docx file there are no index entries in the index panel, but there are if the file is converted to .doc.
The only way you can use a .docx file is to open it in Word and then cut and paste all the Word file text into InDesign. This way InDesign sees the Index, but I would not want to import this way, so I convert to…1 vote
